Hi,
we have the following process/toolchain and would like to have one question answered:
start Open Broadcaster Software (mirrors one screen to second screen, in our case Oculus VR DK2 image to normal monitor) -> start vorpX in the mirrored broadcast -> start the game (rFactor 2) in the mirrored broadcast.
We now have one stereoscopic image for the VR headset and another stereoscopic image on the normal LCD monitor but want to have a non-stereoscopic image on the second screen, which is not splitted and warped (just raw game image). Is there any way to achieve this?
Best regards,
Chris
Since I’m waiting and checking this thread every day to get rfactor2 working, is there anything new about the update, or is there a workaround?
Will be fixed in the next version. Sorry for mentioning the date which unfortunately will be missed. As always in software development, giving dates can be a bit problematic. The issue is fixed in the latest internal build, and you will be able to play rFactor 2 again with vorpX when the next version is released.
Same here … black screen on Rfactor 2. I bought it because it says the game is supported…but it’s not.
Was there no attention to the issues preventing anyone using rFactor2 with vorpX?
I’m getting a black screen here too. Windows 10 64 bit, Oculus 0.8.
Nothing at all works inside the DK2 – not even pressing delete to bring up the VorpX menu. Mouse control seems to have disappeared – I can see no mouse pointer anywhere.
This is on a pretty vanilla rFactor install – just installed today and only ran once or twice outside the Rift to make sure controls worked etc. Only one extra track – Oran Park – downloaded.
same problem. i only get a black screen in rfactor 2. (the only reason i bought vorpx)
win7 64bit (rfactor2 64bit and 32bit)
oculus runtime 0.7, nvidia 780ti (with recommended driver for runtime 0.7)
vorpx 0.9
Same problem here. Rfactor 2 black screen.
W10 64
770 GTX (358.78)
Vorpx 0.9
Please, help!
I’ve purchased vorpx mainly for RFactor 2, however it seems to not work at all at the moment. I have a black screen in the Rift, but as others have mentioned, the warning banner does come up. Witcher 3 and Batman Arkham Knight seem to work fine (albeit in a large 3d cinema mode rather than full 3d – is this normal?)
I have tried the latest 2 Nvidia drivers and also Oculus 0.7 and 0.8 drivers.
Any help would be gratefully received!
I found out rFactor 2 does work with VorpX if the antialiasing setting is 4 or 6, but not 8 as I was using previously.
I found a solution – in the rFactor 2 settings the antialiasing level must be either 4 or 6, I used to have it on 8. I’m using an nvidia card and allowing the game to control antialiasing
Reinstalling rF2 didn’t help. Ralf, are you using rFactor 2 build 946? Is there a way I can roll back VorpX to 0.8.0?
Switching to 32 bit did something, but it still isn’t working. rFactor 2 32bit starts up but the image disappears and reappears repeatedly, and the cursor does not respond. This is using the latest rFactor 2 build (April 3 build 946).
I will reinstall.
I tried that immediately after I read your first post, but could not replicate the issue unfortunately. If you know other rFactor2/vorpX players, it would be great if you could ask them whether they have the same issue. So far I’m only aware of your report.
Switching between 32/64bit might be worth a try. IIRC the game has both.
After the VorpX 0.8.1 update rFactor2 fails to start when VorpX is running. It previously worked well with VorpX 0.8.0
Other games work fine.
