    Check the ‘Basic Facts’ menu above.

    One caveat: not everything has been tested with DK2 yet to get the update out as fast as possible.

    Many more games will also work BTW, only thing missing in these cases is Stereo 3D.

    I’ve tested Far Cry 3 with VorpX ver. 0.7.1 and it works ok including head tracking (Thanks to Ralf for the very quick release for DK2!) Note that if you’re running FC3 for Steam, in vorpX you must exclude the program “FC3UpdaterSteam.exe”.

    Hey Ralf, been playing a little Bioshock Inf and the 3d works but the distortion is all wonky. I’m not complaining, just wanted to let you know.

    The view makes it seem like everyone is an inch from your face, and buildings look like you are looking through a funhouse mirror when you move your head.

    It’s playable but it kinda threw me off. Still, really great work man, can’t wait to see the updates you have brewing.

    In games like F1 2013 vorpX only can emulate a gamepad for head tracking, which doesn’t work very well. OpenTrack may not be updated for the DK2 yet, you will have to wait for a DK2 ready version.

    Unfortunately we can’t implement TrackIR emulation into vorpX due to legal reasons.

    First of all, thanks to Ralf for the nice working update. I tested Skyrim and it realy looks great. There is just one little Problem, if I use Edge-Peak the left mousebutton doesn’t work any more so I can see the menues with this funktion but cant use them. Is there an easy solution like changing the Edge-Peak Button?

    I tried different things further but I am still not able to get it to work.

    I have tried this morning with AC as well and similar issues. I am not able to get VorpX running.

    These is a summary of the issues and will update once solved.
    1. Vorpx config window not working. Seeing only a transparent window Frame
    2. Cockpit view for F1 201x and even AC disjointed, meaning I can see the Cockpit in each view but if both eyes are opening, the Pictures are not matching
    3. headtracking not working
    4. Position tracking not working

    since the update I cant stark vorpx any more. get the message:
    “fatal error, vorpx config entountered an unspecified error and has to exit. do you want to restart the program?”
    reinstalling doesent help!

    You really should adjust the FOV, makes the whole experience a lot more realistic.

    For racing games like DIRT3 I would suggest OpenTrack for head tracking, which works quite good. Not sure though whether its already updated for DK2. I would love to implement TrackIR emulation directly into vorpX, but that’s not possible due to legal reasons unfortunately.

    During the beta updates will be mandatory, everything else would cause a support nightmare. Once vorpX reaches version 1.0, updates will probably become optional.

    There is a bug in vorpX 0.7.1 when you select an Oculus profile in the vorpX config app. Set the option to “Do not use an Oculus profile” (the default value) instead if you use an Oculus profile and dial in your IPD manually.

    This bug leads to wrong distortion and IPD settings unfortunately when using an Oculus profile. Not sure yet what the problem is exactly, but this will be fixed with the next update.

    @ becozier: As said in the original post, not even all games were tested with the current build to get it to you as fast possible. So I can’t provide you a list currently unfortunately. Documentation will be updated over the next weeks. Thanks again for your patience.

    Head tracking works with all games that had head tracking with DK1. Just the POSITIONAL tracking is Skyrim only.

    @ Victor: Please check the documentation that comes with vorpX. It has a dedicated page with information in regard to the best DK2 configuration.

    What’s the best way to run it on the DK2 since we can’t run the displays in duplicate mode? Do we run in direct or extended mode? Do we need to pause Oculus runtime when using VorpX? Thank you for the update, that was really fast.

    I have started Vorpx and it recognises the update.
    Starting the config gives me still a transparent window.
    I have reinstalled and repaired .Net but no difference.

    I clicked in the transparent window and Looks like the config is running as by Chance the oculus config was started.

    Any help is much appreciated or is there a config file which I can manually start to run the program

    vorpX 0.7.1 with initial DK2 support is now available. Please note that DK2 support is in early stages. Not all games have been tested and there are most likely bugs.

    This was released as fast as possible to give you something to play with, so don’t complain. ;)

    If you already own vorpX, your vorpX should automatically update when you start vorpX Control.

    If it doesn’t, you can update manually by using your web installer. If you don’t have your installer anymore, send a mail to support |at| vorpx com.

    Can we please get a full list of DK2 supported games with 0.7.1? I understand headtracking is only available with Skyrim right now, but I can’t find a full list of DK2 supported games with 0.7.1

    Please provide a list and if possible with geometry support or z3d, thanks.
