Participant@ jjensson,
Yep, I’m in the same boat. VorpX completely changed the way I play games. I could never go back to flat gaming. VorpX mainly has a PR problem. The tech side is rock solid.dborosev
ParticipantEye candy galore, incoming! I love that VorpX keeps evolving. Well done Ralf.
As an aside, Death Stranding got 94% base on over 10k reviews on Steam. I didn’t realize it was so high after so many people bitching that it was essentially a walking simulator.dborosev
ParticipantNice! Hopefully it works the same with Horizon ZD. Planning to get my bro set up with VorpX this weekend, so he’ll be excited they are coming soon too.

ParticipantHave you tried any of the existing profiles, maybe Trine 3?
dborosev
ParticipantSome good points. I think I said something similar 3 years ago, and even offered to business partner up with you to take it to the next level. ;)
A little polish goes a long way these days. Maybe a nice wordpress template. And VorpX can be a little overwhelming for newbs. A super simple 1,2,3 step guide would help that.Wanna try full VR? Heres the list of supported games. Here is how you set it up.
Wanna try cinema/immersive modes? Here is why you’d want to do this, here is how, here is what it looks like.
Wanna try 3rd person games? Here is how to do that.dborosev
ParticipantVorpX can’t make games that don’t use motion controllers magically be programmed to use them. There are limits.

ParticipantNo worries. For me, its been the best VR investment I’ve made yet. But… I use it mainly for cinema and immersive modes, which are great for sitting and using mouse and keyboard, and awesome for 3rd person games. It also has full VR modes for games which work well, but not my preference.
Having the right expectations and doing your research will determine if its right for you.
Cheers.dborosev
ParticipantIt is updated regularly for free. One time purchase. New games are added every few months. Works for both yes.
dborosev
ParticipantThere is not. But do your research and see if its something you’re sure about.

ParticipantYou can create your own profiles based on profiles that are already there

ParticipantGreat to see VorpX possibly evolving and getting better! Few products are as well supported and adaptable as VorpX.
So many new games are looking astounding in 3D!

ParticipantIts probably a good thing these dx12 games are trickling in. Gives Ralf time and practice to work up to the real grand finale (pst…ahem… Cyberpunk 2077) ;P Ralf never hears that from me lol- he’ll have to shoot me with a tranquilizer gun on game day. ;P Just kidding Ralf, I’ll be chill, promise.
But I can imagine how good the visuals of Death Stranding will look in Z3D even, if it ends up working.

ParticipantI’m waiting
for some other sucker to do all the hard workto buy the game. Its on my short list for now, but I’ll be looking into this one in the next couple of weeks. I’m pretty busy, but maybe someone else will have taken a stab by then.
:)dborosev
ParticipantNice work, I’ll be buying the game in a few weeks when my coop friend can play.
Btw, if you post it to the cloud with your username, you can just mention it here for people to get through vorpx. No need for 3rd party dl.
Cheers!dborosev
ParticipantTry out the shader/profile authoring tools that come with VorpX. I edited a profile once to fix some lighting issues and it wasn’t that hard. Its in the help, as well as here in the forums.
It can look intimidating at first, but its not too bad and only took me 10 min to fix it. Thats what its there for.
Or try cinema or immersive modes. They are good too. -
