You didn’t do anything wrong. The camera hight modifier is now factored into the camera position caclulation in a different way as part of a fix regarding positional tracking feeling off when you rotate your head. A side effect of this fix is that earlier camera height values may have to be adjusted if you used the setting before. I usually take great care to ensure that the effect of settings changes as little as possible between versions, but in this case it was unavoidable unfortunately.

Okay, thank you for the clarification Ralf. It wasn’t much of a problem. Thanks for the updates.

I did notice my height settings were completely different in RE7, had to drop from 45 to 25 for the same effect. I wonder if that has anything to do with update or I just changed something and don’t remember. :/ oh well.

Thanks Ralf! I know you can’t see it, but I’m using VorpX all the time. :)

Yeah, HP need to clean up their act, it’s getting ridiculous. Luckily, i’m living in Germany and have good return policies. And who knows when my Reverb will arive, could be July or even August, quality control will hopefully get better until then.

That said, the majority of the reviews are positive and issue-free, so i’m not that worried.

Sebastian from WMR has the flicker. I think the reviewers really didn’t put the cable through a proper usage stress test, my experience looking this has been the opposite as I see more and more Reverbs being returned. I will wait for the consumer version, that one isn’t being released till later for purchase and hopefully is a batch of units with out issues.

I saw some of those posts and from what I gather 1903 seems to making the super-sampling option not work correctly with WMR. I don’t what this exactly could mean with VorpX but as far as I know VorpX uses the in-game resolution instead of SS for the display, the SS setting seems to make no change to my games so the problem may not matter. Hopefully someone else can answer your question with confidence though.

Anyone worried about this kind of stuff. I may hold off for a while. Rumors of dead proprietary cables in the back, flickering, dead pixels and pixels lines? Even dead HMDs entirely.

Odyssey+ here, and it works perfectly. Love the higher rez.

Awesome! Not all that has to happen is the HP Reverb not be sold out everywhere all the time. :)

It’s supposed to be on a reworked version of the Witcher 3 engine. It will most likely have DX11. There is a chance someone hooks on the Witcher 3 profile day one is possible, hell I know I’m gonna try ;)

Not shure if you would reach the mass with such a price. I see some phsychological barriers as well which i beleive are kept well in mind with the current pricing.

If you mean the price I mentioned , it’s only a conclusion I can come to after having VorpX and seeing how much value I get out of it. Of course, it could have prevented me at entry otherwise.

Thanks guys, seems to work well then. I plan to swap back and forth between the Vive, Wireless Vive Pro, and Reverb as I use them for difference purposes. Hopefully it’s not an issues having them plugged in with the WMR. What happens if I run my Vive Pro while the Mixed Reality portal is on ?

Luck you all who got in on the Index, I only ordered the Index Controllers for native VR and motion control games for my Vive Pro wireless (can’t go back to the wire when I stand anymore ) . I’ll be getting the Reverb for seated for resolution and light weight comfort so I’m glad to hear that WMR doesn’t have major issues with VorpX.

God damn it, you guys are the reason I can’t freaking catch a break with this thing as it’s sold out all the time. However, any of you worried about WMR platform? How well does VorpX work with Windows Mixed Reality HMDs?

Anyone who learns how to use VorpX learns quick that for $40 they stole this thing. lol Yes Steph12, I’m just happy there isn’t monthly licensing or something like that.
