I wish i could help, but i don’t have any programming knowledge unfortunately. Still, i’ll be watching your thread because Dying Light is one of my favorite games, and i want to re-play it in VR some day.

Much appreciated, Ralf. My Quest 2 looks forward to play some vorpexed titles (was busy with DrBeef’s Half-Life port the last weeks…).

    @moadepth – Great idea, IMO.

Out of general curiosity: Isn’t the VR controller tracking done by the VR driver (Oculus software)?

But yeah, the game needs to hook into that data and make use of it, etc.

It’s absolutely stunning in VR. I played HL: Alyx prior to Fallen Order, and the latter still won my GOTY 2020 award!

I don’t know about you guys, but on my system (i7 6700k, RTX 2070 Super back in 2019) VorpX used ~6% CPU when idle, if i remember correctly, so i always shut it down when not needed.

Perhaps i’m a bit overprotective of my system’s resources, but i always remove anything from the tray i don’t use.

I never understood why people hate radial wheels. I encountered this kind of interface when i played Undying, and later in many console ports. Loved it, and always preferred it instead of having to memorize and use 20 different keys.

We’ll see how this develops. Could be that it takes another year or two, could be that it gets completely dropped. Such things happened in the past. I’ll believe it when i see an official announcement with date and pre-orders. []-)

I’ve got the impression they would change weapon handling, textures, lighting and the GUI. But honestly i’m not sure. Maybe just wishful thinking… []-)

I for one am very excited for the remaster, because as much as i love the first game of the trilogy, it’s quite clunky and could really use some “facelift”. And i don’t think there are any lighting mods available for it on Nexus.

I played the whole trilogy two years ago flat, had a wonderful experience with all the mods… But i’m still looking forward to play this remake, this time with VorpX. (hint, hint… :)

I’m very excited for that game, because System Shock 2 is one of the best experiences i had in gaming in the past. Never played the first game though.

This year will be an interesting one. []-)

My intention was certainly not an egotistic one. I’m a big proponent of VorpX, and want it to succeed. Maybe i’m a bit too passionate about it.

But your post is all i needed to hear, Ralf. I can see now that it’s not a general problem, just something on my end. What it is exactly, i wouldn’t know. My internet provider is 1&1, one of the biggest in Germany.

    Again, sorry. No harm meant.

Are you aware that were i live, the internet providers change my IP address daily? That means that every time i want to visit your website, i need to write you an email. Is this practical, or realistic?

Nobody will go through that if it’s not absolutely necessary.

I don’t understand why you are doing that. It infuriates me that on top of all friction and information deficit around VorpX, you add an extra layer of inaccessibility. Those potential users will be gone faster than they can say VorpX…

Sorry for the harsh words, but i’m seriously baffled by this. In the past i was impressed how much you helped the VorpX community. But this helps nobody now…

Uh, there is no official profile for SOMA. I know because it’s one of my all time favorites and i can’t play it with VorpX :-(

RJK, your Wiki link again says “ERROR: 403 – Access from your IP address has been blocked for security reasons.”

What’s wrong with your website man? Every time i want to look at it, it is unavailable. I can’t help but feel penalized for something i didn’t do. Is Germany completely blocked? And why?
