Thx. I hope the VR version of Amid Evil is an update – bought the original game not long ago, not played it yet. []-)
jjenssonParticipantYou could see if HelixVision supports Doom Eternal, it works with some games that VorpX can’t run (for example SOMA).
Personally, after indepth research, i think that Doom Eternal is worse than Doom 2016, and not worth it. But YMMV, as always. []-)
jjenssonParticipantI second the hope for an official profile for Observer: System Redux. Never got to play the original but, as soon as the remaster released i got it at intro price.
jjenssonParticipantCurious as well. If it’s OpenGL only, then i don’t think we’ll get support. Besides, i’m a bit out of the loop (currently playing Enderal VR :), so i’m not sure how VorpX’ Vulcan support is shaping up…
jjenssonParticipantThat’s good to hear, thank you. []-)
jjenssonParticipantWould be nice if it gets fixed. I still haven’t played it in VorpX.
jjenssonParticipantWonderful news. Much appreciated, Ralf!
jjenssonParticipantWell said, Mazzle.
What i noticed a couple days ago in r/OculusQuest in a post about VorpX was that there were much more upvotes and positivity than in the recent past. Either the public opinion is beginning to change for the better, or most of the whiners and haters have “left the building”.
Given that i’m not the most busy/helpful person here on this forum, i’m trying to compensate at least by telling outsiders why i love VorpX so much, and why it completely changed the way i play games, and help with suggestions were i can (mostly on Reddit, PCGamer and RoadToVR/VRUpload). []-)
jjenssonParticipantJust a heads-up to all fellas that loved RE7, and expect RE8 to be as good: It’s not, unfortunately. If you like serious horror and a cohesive experience, you will be disappointed by RE8. If you just want to have some mindless horror-ride, you will not be let down. It’s certainly not a game i will invest time (and money) in, that much i know. []-)

jjenssonParticipantNever mind, i just ran the vorpX_WebSetup.exe again and it installed the recent version over the existing install.
Strange that the auto-update didn’t work, though.
jjenssonParticipantVery exciting! I’m glad that i decided to wait before buying VD – had a feeling that something might be coming from Oculus anyway. And here we are…
jjenssonParticipantIn the VorpX driver settings (tray icon) you can set the headset type to Oculus, SteamVR or Generic (AFAIR).
jjenssonParticipantI still wonder what makes people so hooked with those multiplayer-only titles, first of all they are everything else but “long-term-fun”, not to mention that i don´t think they´re a good way of having a what i call a “relaxed gaming evening”.
…
You are speaking my language. I wish i could be as eloquent as you on forums – most of the time i’m just saying something derogatory about MP games and move on. LOL… []-)
jjenssonParticipantRegarding the Patreon suggestion, i’d support this.
jjenssonParticipantGreat question, i’d like to know as well!
(I have a Quest 2 now, and have not used it with VorpX yet. I must admit, i’m a bit nervous about how reliable it will be in this use scenario. Modded SkyrimVR over Link was very good visually, but required quite a bit of tinkering…)
