ParticipantI believe you need sdk 0.7 or higher, extended mode is no longer supported.

ParticipantYeah thats what I currently use for 360 vids, I was talking about vorpx adapting this too.

ParticipantVideo player with MPC seems to work fine but I was wondering is there a plan to support 180/360 degree videos? (Or is there allready a way to watch them by changing settings?)

ParticipantI have the same thing with vlc, briefly tried the nightly mpc but it didn’t hook up at all, I’ll have to check that later when I have time. Otherwise the video player looks very nice in 2D mode and the async warp should help games that are just below 75.
Edit. Got the mpc working (with delete controls) needed to install x86 version, 64-bit didn’t hook up.

ParticipantYeah its strange, I struggled with that game too, when you get it working dont touch anything. :)

ParticipantPayday2 renders other eye with red colour on geometry mode, z-modes work fine.

ParticipantSome bugs(?) that I’ve encountered so far. (windows 10, R290, sdk 0.8, vorpx 0.9)
1. I use 3 monitor setup + rift and when using desktop viewer it renders the leftmost monitor to the rift but the mouse cursor is rendered from the middle (primary) screen, is there any workaround for this other than disabling the side monitors?2. Borderlands 2 geometry mode is very buggy, z-modes work fine.
3. System Shock 2, Kotor (non steam) hooks up but gives black screen on rift
(Kotor2 actually shows up without 3d since theres no profile yet)Laser
ParticipantWith the unofficial method you need to have dk2 as primary in extended mode, seems like you have your laptop screen as primary?

ParticipantFeature set looks great for 0.9, hopefully we can test it ourselves next week. :)

ParticipantCould you add an “inclusion” part to the vorpX configuration so we could manually add .exe’s that aren’t officially supported. Or is there another way in windows to make link’s or shortcuts to fool vorpx?
For example I tried running the talos principle demo with vorpX but it didn’t work because the .exe is named differently and most steam games won’t run if you try to change them.

Participant<p abp=”237″>OMG at least have a freaking beta program or something I don’t care about the bugs my rift has been sitting still for 2 months now and I bought a 980 ti 2 months ago and have STILL not even used it with oculus yet!!!
Current VorpX is allready a “beta” program hence the sub 1.0 driver versions, or do you want a beta of a beta? If he would release a buggy mess that crashed all the time, people just bitch about broken driver and demand a refund or something.
People just buy the devkit rifts and expect all things running smooth all the time.

ParticipantThanks for the update on 0.9. Now I don’t have to update vorpx page three times a day (I’ll just do it twice now) ;)
Laser
ParticipantYou have to make rift the primary monitor so the games launch there instead of your monitors.

ParticipantNot going to miss extended mode in the long run, its pain to use while trying launch games etc. But I did have to do a second windows install to run the older sdk so I can run those older rift applications and obviously use vorpx there until the new version comes out.
