Good to know that indeed more UE4 games suffer from this glitch. I’ll definitely check it then. Thanks for the heads-up.

    Hi there!
Not sure if you found out any news on this…

The game is awesome, there has to be an explanation

I thought that Dishonored 2 profile will work from day 1 but no way.

Not even a single Geometry 3D profile?
Is this because of Denuvo blocking also VorpX or there is no proper way to get 3D from Deathloop?

I managed to get Z3D from one of those profiles recommended but nothing more… :(

I was starting to test yesterday and got the same issues with those profiles. It doesn’t even hook at all.

Maybe DENUVO is interfering with VorpX to hook correctly?

Howdy folks. New VorpX user here. I’m trying to find a way to stream/record my view from in game while using VorpX. The problem is that it shows the game like a normal view (as in what the monitor would show). I’m trying to show some online buddies what to expect while using it, including the grey borders around the game’s screen itself. Anybody know how to do that?

Enable the VR View first in SteamVR.
Now record the gameplay on that VR VIEW window that just appeared instead of the normal mirror image on the monitor screen and that’s it.

I was asking exactly the same some time before -> https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/please-can-you-point-to-any-good-shader-authoring-tutorial/

Not sure if someone can write a small guide also explaining the details to understand better all the possible actions, it would be great as reference for everyone.

Mostly VR games, flat games in Vorpx only, and Magic the Gathering just in pancake. I’m happy to play a flat game, and sometimes play out of vorpx if I’ve only got ten mins or I’m doing inventory management in a game or suchlike. Otherwise it’s HMD all the time but I only have 2 hours a day game time max anyway and mostly much less.

To the poster above, how is Gunfire Reborn? Is it g3d? I’m considering getting it on sale.

I just read this. I can fully recommend Gunfire Reborn.

As a game is incredibly fun and well balanced, it starts with certain limitations and difficulties that depending on your FPS skills you can overcome but at the same time playing well will unlock gradually weapons and abilities for your character that will make the game amazing to play.

Regarding VorpX it looks fantastic in G3D is one of the best looking ones with good depth and very fluid performance to play and enjoy. It really adds another level of visual candy to the player.

so yeah… fully recommended even on full price :)

Thanks, The Observer profile is just the same result as in later levels there is a fog that affects how the game is being seen too much and is annoying to play.

I’m starting to think that this could only be fixed with the G3D authoring edit…but I do not have any idea how to use it propely.

If there is any other UE4 profile to recommend to check I will try it anyway.

It is very difficult to me to answer that because I simply have too many games.
I play mostly VR games but I do play flat games from time to time, and I only play with VorpX/HelixVision in those cases. Example: Gunfire Reborn (G3D and I wish it was native VR!!) Pinball FX3 (using Helixvision for G3D), Aquanox Deep Descent (G3D), Dark Alliance (struggling now to get proper G3D with VorpX), etc.

But, I have a close friend that stays and play some games with me, I showed VR to her many times but we play together flat games mostly.
So I guess I can answer with 100% flat games when I play with her.
She likes Mortal Kombat or Hellish quart to name 2 good examples, and those are clearly more enjoyable playing both at the couch.
Also part of the joy is enjoying gaming together with music: https://youtu.be/NpE9KJpESJQ

ok thanks! I used the translate hehe… will check then with The observer.

I was trying yesterday to edit further the profiles but it is getting difficult without a proper guide of how to use the profile authoring.

Well the game is working out of the box as if VorpX was included already.
You start on Full VR and if you disembark you will have a CINEMA MODE with Geometry 3D included by the game itself.

So basically VorpX is not needed, because also this way once you board your ship back you are also back to the full native VR support that Elite Dangerous always had.

So, in this case, I think is not needed because you will lose the full native VR advantage.

I’m trying to make this game work but it is not even hooking at all.
Is there any way to pull G3D from this?

The game supports Dx11 Dx12 and Vulkan, there should be a way, even more as the previous versions of serious engines were working and support VR native.

    HELP?

I’m currently playing ENDERAL VR with Native VR support including VR controls and believe me you are missing an incredible experience. Check this gameplay and guide on how to install it:

Checked this today. I’m pretty sure that there never has been a really well working G3D user profile for the game. At least in all outdoor areas there is a severe visual glitch due to the ground plane not being properly stereoized even if G3D works otherwise. The nature of the issue makes it impossible that someone could have managed to fix it with a user profile.

Didn’t remember that yesterday, but that’s also the reason why there is no official G3D profile for the game. Looks like a nice little puzzle to solve on some rainy weekend though, which might also benefit other UE4 games, so I’ll probably take a closer look at some point.

I swear I remember playing it on G3D when it came out :)
I had my own profile working. I stopped playing the game for a few months, came back and only Z3D was working and couldn’t even select Geometry. Several days later I started checking other profiles and found some others listed as G3D but with only Z3D working so I think I was not the only one.

But hey! you are the Dev and have the real knowledge of the current problem, maybe the game was updated in the middle as you mentioned it.
Not sure, but I’m glad that you checked it.
At this point the game has it’s crowd of gamers so it would be great if you understand it also for VorpX players.

    Thaaaaaanks!
