ParticipantGood news: G3D will be available for Prey 2017 with the next regular vorpX version. Requires a vorpX update, an updated profile is not enough unfortunately. So while the request was quick for you, it cost me almost two days. 😉 The changes will benefit other games too though, so that was time well spent.
No release date yet. Probably sometime in November, but I can’t promise that 100%. Definitely before Christmas.
Sorry but I have to ask, is this enabled already?
I’m thinking of getting Prey on this sale.Michelangel0
ParticipantvorpX 17.2.2 has been released. Please note that this is just a fix for the critical issue mentioned below. The next regular version is not quite ready yet, hence this hotfix which had to be released ASAP.
- Mouse emulation head tracking could fail on some systems
If you didn’t experience this issue, the update does not bring any changes for you.
Imagine a very happy smile when sawing the update starting in the client, only to convert it to a sad face because it was only a fix
:( only a fix…ok then..
I was just thinking of DirectVR support to Dying Light VR, Killing Floor 2, etc. :P

ParticipantI could confirm that not only it works, but also that it works amazing, with DirectVR supported, I´ve been enjoying it …. a lot!
And that was my main reason to buy VorpX (in between other amazing games)

ParticipantCan we get Dyling Light to work with Vorpx at all? I have a Vive and would like to get the games working with it. Far Cry 4 seems to crash with this version as well. I’ve got 2 different computers, game and Vorpx and it crashes on both.
Another vote here for DYING LIGHT….
that game is awesome already and I would love to play it in VR

ParticipantI’m playing SkyrimSE @1920×1440 and works amazing with VorpX
(I7 + EVGA 1080 ftw + ram 16gb + Windows 10 + HDR)Remember to use fast drivers, I’ll recommend not the latest ones 382.05 but previous 378.92 and do not use any AA, and set the power management mode to maximum performance and textures in performance mode.
Michelangel0
ParticipantIndeed AVAST was reported also to cause issues.
But those 382.05 drivers were reported by many users also in the nvidia forums.I´m using a 1080 and without AVAST was having major performance and stuttering just by entering SteamVR and without running any game at all. Of course when running VR games it was worst, also with VorpX.
So that+s why I told you, but great that you found that. Still those drivers have other issues as HDR support is having major issues and some resolutions do not work correctly neither.Michelangel0
ParticipantQuick Update: Nvidia is releasing a couple of beta drivers with hotfixes…but they are not the best yet.
Today I found these ones: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4464/kw/hot%20fixbut I didn´t tested those yet.
So for now, the best ones are still v378.92…not only in performance but also very very stables, I have no issues also with very high resolutions between 1080p and 4k like the other drivers that when switching to those resolutions the images are all in green tones.
I will try to test these new beta´s tonight..
cheers!!

ParticipantI have the solution!!!
the problem are the drivers!!
I urge to go back and install v378.92 the performance increase is incredible!
but all drivers after that one are slower in VR, and 382.05 are the worst!I´m testing right now the 381.65 and they aren´t that bad, but still the best are the 378.92….the performance is amazing.

Participantonly the mouse controls the view?
You wouldn’t like that at all to happen, you are going to feel sick as you are about to cause yourself motion sick.
I would recommend you to try normal VR games first to understand if you are prone or not to get sick while playing with movement. Some people can only play standing still games, and in VORPX remember you are going to simulate normal games in VR therefore, you are going to be in motion virtually.
If you get sick, You could gain tolerance gradually by playing short sessions (5 or 10 minutes) that could be increased gradually.
Doing that effect of the mouse is one of the worst effects.

ParticipantHave you tried to run as Vorpx Administrator?
in my case it helped a lot.Michelangel0
ParticipantI agree with you Ralf.
The problem is not everyone knows what engine belongs to each game.
Maybe if the profiles had that engine information + DirectX version it could be easier.

ParticipantI love that feature in the Steam Controller, I have an old profile for the old skyrim but I never exported it to the new Skyrim SE and I´m playing it with a normal XBOX One controller using VorpX.
I could test it to confirm or to help ;)
will update later
