ParticipantHaha, just found it too (Deep3D), tho it seems it’s from at least 2016 as there are 2 githubs (the other from 2018) with the same files that were updated 4 years ago.
I’ll probably try it, need to build the libraries it uses from source but luckily i already have installed most of the things i need. I’ll let you know if it’s worth it.

ParticipantYeah, i would’ve tought such a neural network would have been created already but so far nothing… that’s the only thing lacking imo as we already have good enough ai resizers. Topaz Suite being the best one out there afaik

ParticipantA notice for Dark Souls 2 SotfS, if you use vorpX you may get soft-banned. DS2 is the only DS that has an anticheat and after soft-banned you will only be able to connect with other soft-banned ppl aka cheaters; tho some ppl say the game checks are for item count only, still the possibility exists.

Participant@steph12 depends on the port, like Borderlands 2 VR, it was ported for VR extremely buggy, making Borderlands 2 + vorpX a better experience.
Just checked it and it seems the game has indeed been updated but funny enough the game does not have any multiplayer at all… so yep, vorpX is still the better experience, as head tracking and positional tracking is practically as good as the VR version, the only problem would be that you can’t separate mouse aiming from headtracking afaik.

ParticipantAs a general rule, any online game it’s a no go since most have anticheat systems in place, this is specially true for Steam games as not only most games use VAC but also EAC.

ParticipantHey Ralf, about Afterburner, i use it mostly for the custom gpu fan curve but i’m not sure if what you say would apply then too, i tought it was a global (OS) setting. Any link to read more about it would help a lot, thanks for the info tho

ParticipantIf we’re naming extra “hidden” features, apart from the Desktop Viewer (one of the best in the market) you also get to use MPC-HC and VLC as 3D players, making them the best 3D players available.

ParticipantI can tell you $30 is not a lot for vorpX and many ppl spend $60 or more on a whim for the new Call of Duty so…
There’s no demo but anybody who has purchased it will tell you $30 is cheaper than what it should really cost, the only way it would be a bad purchase would be if you didn’t know anything about pc gaming and only out of ignorance in using the software, which all bad reviews i’ve ever read amount to.

ParticipantAs TheBalt said, vorpX can hook to any .exe, so it can also hook to media players, the officially supported are VLC and MPC-HC, making them the best 3D players currently available in the internet imo.

ParticipantIt’s for Half Life but it should still work for most games (the commands i mean), link

ParticipantUnfortunately, if you really wanna play GTA V in VR you have to use a sparrow version, preferably one with all mods working as intended. No online VR tho, you would just get flagged and banned anyway…

ParticipantOfftopic but what do you use VLC for? Isn’t MPC-HC better at everything? Personally i haven’t used VLC with vorpX
Dec 27, 2019 at 11:57pm in reply to: Is it possible to move the screen up and down in desktop viewer? #191305Minabe
ParticipantDid you try to reset the view with ALT+SPACE? The screen is centered to the camera normally.
However, if that’s not what you want, you can change the perceived height with a little trick: move up or down your head, then recenter with ALT+SPACE and move back to your preferred position.
I have tried doing this many times but as OP claims, the screen will only move left/right, never up/down.
Incidentally, wanted to ask about MPC-HC. Been using it since a while ago and have noticed it sometimes auto-corrects the camera’s position on vr videos (SBS) but there is no way of doing it manually and when i reset the view (ALT+SPACE), it also resets the auto-corrected position of the camera.
This auto-correct feature only happens when a video starts and not always which makes it a bother to try and use it, and begs the question of how does it even work in the first place?

ParticipantNot sure if it works on AMD gpus but you can always try changing resolutions directly from the headset with the tv/monitor off, this way it will show all available native resolutions for your headset.
