ParticipantSorry Ralf but i got no luck with OpenXR, after reinstalling the WMR Portal 5 times vorpX will simply not work even with no SteamVR installed. I did got the OpenXR demo scene to work again so i know OpenXR is working, just not with vorpX; unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any game or app that uses OpenXR (other than Minecraft) so i couldn’t test it longer.
I had thought it used to work but from this experience i know it actually didn’t as i had been using SteamVR all along. Not sure what could be the problem as i’m completely up to date, only thing i didn’t try was reinstalling vorpX but i’d rather not lose my configurations

ParticipantStar Citizen has never been officially supported by vorpX so it’s never been on the list of supported games, as a rule of thumb no Early Access or Alpha/Beta can be officially supported as they can completely change anytime, idk why you thought it did.
Depending on the anti cheat system vorpX could still work, though whether you’d be banned for using it would be a whole other matter. Better to complain on their forums to allow vorpX to work since before they implement it imo

ParticipantYou can see all the resolutions available to your monitor if you go to Display settings -> Advanced display settings -> Display adapter properties -> List all modes. You won’t be able to add any custom resolution that isn’t shown in there

ParticipantSeems OpenXR is now installed by default on WMR, oddly enough after reinstalling everything (twice) the OpenXR demo no longer works and it just falls back to the WMR Portal while vorpX keeps giving the “severe error” message.
If i make SteamVR handle the OpenXR API the WMR Portal does gives me a warning and a button to “Fix it” appears but even after doing it, no luck; guess i’ll try updating Windows tho i already have a higher version than the recommended according to the OpenXR documentation…

ParticipantOh, then i’ll have to reinstall everything :X

ParticipantNvm i just got it to work, didn’t realize i had “WMR for SteamVR” in beta, went back to stable and chose OpenXR in the developer settings of SteamVR and vorpX now works.

ParticipantI’m getting the following error:
“OpenXR session init failed
This is a severe error. Make sure that OpenXR is working correctly on your pc or switch to a different vr api in the vorpx config app.”
Games load “as normal” with the vorpX logo but i get no output to the HMD, used to work all right but i started to get some errors so i falled back to the SteamVR api, then reinstalled OpenXR and this happened.
OpenXR seems to be working correctly, i can load the demo to test it works, it just won’t work with vorpX.

ParticipantYou can check here for the FOV and Camera macros:
For the pixelation use a higher resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio as a rule of thumb for vorpX VR Mode.

ParticipantAccording to Ralf, as long as you rename/remove the plug-in vpxGTA5.dll file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\plugins, ScriptHookV won’t load.
It is theoretically possible to play online that way, i have and haven’t been banned so far but at the end of the day you can still be banned as R* can change their stand at any moment without notice, wouldn’t be the first time, so do it under your own discretion.

ParticipantHey Ralf, so just renaming it would disable ScriptHookV too? Bc that being the case it would be possible to play online again

ParticipantSeems like a compatibility problem, does it happen only in that game? Back when i got my HMD the pc i used didn’t have usb 3.0 ports so i bought a separate usb 3.0 pcie card and while it detected it i also had a few similar problems, most of which fixed themselves by rebooting most of the time.
Specs of your pc? Need more information, Ralf will probably ask you to send a bug report to check if the problem is with vorpX or your pc.

ParticipantNice to see it can be manually configured, as software evolves such features are usually left behind or dumbed down in favor of a higher/easier reach. Glad to see that’s not the case here
