thanks for that clarification rafl, I’ll be sure to note that and try out the geometry 3D versions of those games by ignosing the redux versions.

metro 2033 redux does look better than the original, but I would rather have geometry 3D if I could, especially now that positional tracking works with it.

If you could prioritize the inclusion of scale UI in these two games that would make a huge difference, unfortunately not seeing your ammo count affects gameplay quite negatively in these two games.

I tried last light redux before the update, couldn’t get geometry 3D to work, I could not get the game to run in DX9 mode so yeah, the changelog on vorpx website implies I am maent to not use the redux versions of metro in order to get geometry 3D.

that did it rafl, I wonder why I had it set like that in the first place?

I can only imagine I did that for some game to work.

when I had 7.1 installed it was on an older computer, I had since then change my computer by changing the motherboard and ram at the same time, I had to re-activate windows with this new computer, maybe that is related.

7.1 still works when I setup vorpx control, but when I start vorpx it tries to DL new version then shows that message at the end.

I just downloaded the 4.4 runtime thinking it was that, it wasn’t that.

“if it doesn’t for some reason, simply use the web installer that you received when you purchased vorp”

that link expires within weeks of purchase, how would I use that?

    I get

‘vorpx cannot be installed on this version of windows. windows vista is the required minimum version.’

this is when starting vorpx control and it begins the 11mb download, I get this after that download.

I am on windows 7 and the previous version was working fine.

    yes please thank you.

Even a short list of games as I have depleted all the ones that work with vorpx.

I have said this before in another thread but it wasn’t answered, portal 1 does not inject for me, and its on the official support list, so maybe you can remove itfrom the list or use another profile.

    lol yeah its tuesday now.

but in either case could I at least have a list of the games with added profiles, so I can begin downloading them now for when the update comes, takes me 8+ house to download a game usually.

By ‘separate the head programmatically’ do you mean that scale UI works with the game.

because if that is so, not many games have that working option.

people use vorpx for black mesa, there is no VR support for that game.

I will be sure to test out black mesa for you as you mentioned you may be able to fix Hud depth issues in geometry 3D games (double vision hud).

oh yeah of course wouldn’t that be almost like a FOV hack?

Maybe you could lean in, find a button for ‘reset rift’ then lean back, now you have your FOV increased.

Thanks Ralf, I am really looking forward to your FPS counter in vorpx, I am holding out on a graphics card upgrade until I can tell what level of graphics card I need to play some games in geometry 3D.

as mentioned before Fraps does not work for me in vorpx, however its a non-issue as vorpx will have an FPS counter soon.

    Thanks again.

For bioshock infinite I could get high framerate on ultra settings, with AA, 2D only.

with geometry 3D, framerate took a masive nosedive, even on ‘low’ settings with no AA the framerate was bad, to me it seems way lower than half the frame rate, but I cannot tell until I have the next update of vorpx which may have an FPS counter.

    I am using GTX 750ti

ah yes I heard of that but couldn’t quite check, I knew it was ID tech engine.

So does that mean Wolfenstein (2009) and RAGE is out of the question.

I did read a post saying openGL games will work in the future, so I’ll just hold off for that then.

yes none of the options work, including Z buffer, I would like to try the game in 3D.

can you rename the metroLL exe to metro2033.exe or whatever the name is called? se if that works

I would put r_base_fov 89 for FOV, that is 120 horizontal, do not put 90 or more, the FOV will reset.

any clues on how to move the hud into view, it shows ammo count which is useful in this game, did metro 2033 work with scaleUI?
