    Far cry 4 worked great, Setup tips

    FOV, HUD and mouse Fix
    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 4\GamerProfile.xml
    set FOVScaleFactor= 1.8
    set SafeFrameAreaWidth=”0.15″
    set SafeFrameAreaHeight=”0.3″
    set MouseAccelerationOn, MouseAcceleration, Smoothness, Smoothness_Ironsight UseMouseSmooth to 0

    although the HUD may be hard to read, its the correct size, its just that the rift isn’t good showing detail around the edges

    a cheat engine file has option to remove spread, this makes the crosshair size much better, but vorpx doens’t allow alt-tabbing with this game to change the cheatengine options.

    Issues:
    Driving FOV is bad, try ADS or looking right/left.

    built in FPS coulter would be amazing, thanks a lot ralf.

    yeah Fraps didn’t work for me with vanishing of ethan carter (renamed exe to UDK, using vorpx shortcut), its weird the exe doesn’t even start up when fraps is running.

    I tried rivatuner and it’s really odd, doesn’t seem to be working correctly, it puts the result at the very top of the image of where the rift is, so even if i look up with edeg peek I cant see it clearly as its always fixed at the very top, it also says D3D9 followed by the FPS counter, the FPS counter gives broken readings like 8543.1 fps, the only things that work are changing the colour and size of the reading, I can’t change the position.

    But it looks like that would be the best one until we get a built in FPS counter, as you can place your FPS counter anywhere and at any size.

    Have you tried minimizing the game, then re-entering.

    I had a similar issue with unreal tournament 1.

    Odd, so sure Raphael said on the Oculus rift forums it did geometry 3D, is DX9 mode enabled?

    Havn’t tried myself, however there appears to be an in-built FOV setting.

    http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/File:Far_cry3_settings1.jpg

    they say to use flawlesswidescreen for more FOV but that program doens’t work atm.

    does vorpx support geometry 3D in this game? if so try using the 3D FOV enhancement.

    oh right that sounds great, I can work around a single keypress as a temporary solution, I’ll explain below:

    lets assume you have made it so you press B to toggle between geometry 3D and 2D, in that case I have software that makes it so when I press C it sends C and B at the same time, so I can work around a one key press.

    I use that same software to make 2 as middle mouse button, and middle mouse button as M, this way I can edge peek with 2 and still use Middle mouse button which uses M.

    May I ask if we get a changelog when the update arrives which may show what new profiles have been made?

    hmm, Yeah I think its a shader manipulator, I heard its compatible with 3D vision only, but you never know, maybe a few people could try out some of his fixes, they seem to involve replacing the DirectX dll so it may not be related to vorpx, he has 3D fixes for the tomb raider games HUD offset problem, which exists in vorpx when geometry 3D is selected.

    I take it you are using Geometry 3D? if so do this to fix the anomalies

    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\EA Games\Mirror’s Edge\TdGame\Config\TdEngine.ini
    Under system settings
    DynamicShadows=False
    TdSunHaze=False
    LensFlares=False
    do not change in-game graphics settings after doing these changes.

    Okay in the tomb raider game it does NOT change the camera height, so there is no fear of collision detection, so if it could be done I would love camera pan modifier (even though I would only use it to move hud left/right when it acts like that in the game).

    I am playing deus ex (original) at the moment, it works great in geometry 3D, however the hud only shows decently in one eye but is too far to the right.

    now if I had a camera pan modifier that does exactly what camera height modifier does, but on the Z axis of the screen instead, then that would be much better.

    Strangely enough when rename the exe to haloce i get geometry 3D!

    very odd since haloce does not do geometry 3D itself.

    However, similar to tomb raider underworld the UI is split into two eyes and has a huge offset, but unlike tomb raider underworld this causes the game to be unplayable, as the crosshair has double vision and there are a lot of menus in this game.

    looks like people had similar issues when running this game with 3D vision.

    here is a forum link

    maybe there is some setting in vorpx that we can change that will fix this issue.

    Oh right of course it needs to be Directx9.

    After downloading http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/index.htm and setting to DX9, I got Deus ex to work, anyone any tips on how to move the hud so I can see it?

    yeah any game where you can’t increase the FOV I would say doesn’t work with vorpx, setting letterbox 2 is basically now just like a monitor.

    similar situation with Tomb Raider 2013, can’t wind anyway to increase the Field of view at all.

    it also seems to duplicate the screen between rift and monitor, what I see on the screen is what I’m meant to see in the rift, in the rift the image is rotated 90 degrees.

    any help would be much appreciated.

    I’m trying to get call of duty 1 to inject, any help would be appreciated, tried renaming the exe to various ones, none of them worked, its an old game but it does have built in FoV adjustments.

    well you’ll never be able to bring in the edges, since we are cropping a widescreen image to something more like 4:3, then increasing the FOV a lot so we’d see what we normally see at the sides and more, especially at the top and bottom.

    yeah try to get some hud fix working if you can, just keep looking in the files, i managed to fix bioshock infinite and bulletstorms hud by finding things and treaking them.
