OgrescarParticipant
Seems slower, but I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I wasn’t looking for it.
OgrescarParticipantSomeone asked the same question a couple of months ago but got no replies, so I’m guessing that’s a “no”.
OgrescarParticipantHmm…I should have told you to uninstall any existing c++ runtime components and reboot before installing that aio.
I had the same problem, but with Nier Automata. I installed several different c++ redists until I found one that fixed the problem. Microsoft really screwed up the side-by-side manifests on the c++ redists and even distributed different versions of the executables all marked with the same version number at one point. The real issue is that your registry for the c++ runtimes has been corrupted.
If you re-install windows again be careful of installing any vc_redist.x86/64.exe that may ship with a game. Installing one one those is probably what caused the issue in the first place.
OgrescarParticipantIt looks like you have a bad Visual C++ lib. You can download an all-in-one package from techpowerup.com (I’ve never used it but it’s supposed to contain all runtimes since 2010).
OgrescarParticipantYou may want to check the windows event log to see if there are any entries about vorpxConfig.
OgrescarParticipantThat’s an early access game, meaning it’s still in development and probably full of bugs. It’s likely to crash without vorpx’s help.

Microsoft Store games are protected against hooking into them. Unless the game is released as a regular Windows game at some point (e.g. via Steam), don’t count on vorpX support.
OgrescarParticipantNvidia has released a driver (461.40) that appears to have fixed some of the performance issues with this game, especially with the dx12 interface.
OgrescarParticipantI don’t know if it works, but there is a profile in the cloud. It just doesn’t have g3d in the title and it’s a different user name, but your vorpx id doesn’t have to match your forum id, so it’s probably the profile in question.
OgrescarParticipantOops. Didn’t see your reply.
OgrescarParticipantAnd now it’s back. Wierd. Maybe a caching issue.
OgrescarParticipantThe one post in particular that I noticed missing was a rather long technical discussion of frame smoothing. It wasn’t my post – I filed it as tldr until later, but then it was gone when I went back. Can’t imagine why it would have been axed by a spam filter.
OgrescarParticipantThis is a list of dx11 games.
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_DirectX_11_gamesUnreal Engine and Unity games usually work well with vorpx so you may want to try one of those. Bioshock Infinite, most if not all of the Batman games, Borderlands 3…most games published after 2014 are dx11.
Again, the api used may or may not be relevant – at one point I couldn’t hook dx9 games but dx11 worked. Game overlays can cause similar problems, so I’d suggest just a quick test to see if it’s a general problem.
OgrescarParticipantHmm, didn’t realize you were running this without a profile or I wouldn’t have confused you with the 3d reconstruction stuff. Last time I checked though, the wrc8 profile didn’t reconstruct 3d for wrc9. I think the RE7 profile works for wrc9 if you want to try that.
OgrescarParticipantUnless your game pass version is different from the official profile, the exe is oride.exe and should be hooked automatically. If it’s a different .exe, it could be a sandboxed version that can’t be hooked.
