@ Vran: Please check this thread: https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/cant-open-inventory-in-re-village/. vorpX has a similar tool built-in. It’s enabled for the game because it doesn’t allow gamepad and mouse input at the same time.

@ luka: Try without VD via Oculus Link/Air Link and see whether that helps.

Yeah, I told him that he can re bind through vorpX but he is streaming now and didnt have time to investigate that. He probably will after ;)

@luka I told you on msnger, try not to cast it wirelessly. Stay connected to the pc…

BTW, FYI just talked to a friend of ours who is a YT streamer. He had an issue with the Xbox controller and the Inventory in game and Y button. Worked perfectly when Flatscreened but once he used vorpX the Y would be defend option. No matter what Control style he chose (A, B or C)

So, the solution he found that worked was installing an app called – reWADS. That seemed to make it all work well.

The head tracking is calibrated for the default mouse sensitivity in the game options. With default mouse sensitivity 90° head rotation are precisely 90° ingame camara rotation. So the easiest way to get things right is resetting the game’s mouse sensitivity to default.

Cool, I never touch the mouse sensitivity it is always default. I also turn Yes the cancel mouse acceleration option in vorpX.
Ok, Ill go back in and see what’s best :)

Ralf, this is pretty sweet, it does run pretty good. Thank you for fixing the controllers on/off option!

Question, Has Anyone found the right balance between the Camera speeds (in game settings) and the head tracking sensitivity? The head tracking lags/semi locks when looking while moving. I am wondering if we need to rely heavily on the right stick/mouse compensation?

Also, like in the Demo, when aiming, it locks and drags the screen towards my head movement (Demo had the same thing) I cant find the right solution for it (tried turning aim assistance to off, tweaking the aim speed in game. Same happens), maybe that is the way to play this one. Not sure.

    Hi Ralf,

Thanks for clearing the issue for me. It’s fixed now!
However, I’m having difficulty deciding between pixel 1:1 or letterbox 1. Letterbox seems more clear, is this the way to go?
Also, I’m using the dualshock 4 but the button mappings are a mess. Is it possible to have a mod for it or fix it using a profile? I’d tried to find the settings to change the mappings but with no luck.
Or is it better to use mouse and keyboard? I found it hard to navigate menus with the mouse because the Headset will move around the cursor. Is it possible to turn off head tracking during menus?

    Thanks

Dual shock? Can you get an Xbox controller? I find that binding C in game works the best (Same setting as the Demo)

It works perfectly Ralf, Amazing frame rate and head tracking is a delight! thank you!

One question… For some reason, the Hide Touch controller option is not available with the profile… Only gives me option to show as hands or controllers

    Hi Ralf,

The program didn’t work for me. I tried everything including every game I have in my computer..

Best of luck to others that can run this program. Wish everybody having a blast with VorpX.

You should watch Youtubers like: Paradise Decay, Beardo Benjo or myself.
We post videos showing and explaining how and what to do for the best way we find using vorpX. Dont give up!

    Hi Ralf,

I just purchased Vorpx for Resident evil 8. However, it keeps failing to attach and it’s stuck on the loading screen for Oculus and stuck in the home screen on SteamVr. I am using a Rift S and rtx 2060. Bought resident evil 8 on steam.

    I need help!

You might want to change the Device Selection to SteamVR (Index, Vive, Primax) if it is not injecting.
If you read the conversation that is in this post, my friend, you’d see that as it is now, RE8 is not good friends with vorpX…

The Demo was in an OK terms…
So we all have to sit tight and hope for some sort of a solution, BeardoBenjo and the-VR-realm get low 7-8 FPS in game. As BeardoBenjo said in his comment – A SlideShow…

Thank you Ralf, and apologies for posting in the wrong forum. I was just so frustrated about this. The main thing is that it feels like my PC is in a hostage situation since I have no control over this manner. Work’s IT does. I personally don’t use third party AV other than Windows defender and Malwarebytes. I will talk to IT tomorrow and see what we can do about this :(
vorpX works for now, it’s the configuration file that won’t. So I will not be able to get to the profiles and such.
I also explained to IT what vorpX does and why AV sees it as a threat. He said he was aware of these issues and why that happens… we’ll see. All I know is that I freaked out! No can do without vorpX. That is my VR outlet

Hey Ralf, thank you for the quick response (as always)
Surprisingly enough, taking the battery out and then back in again seemed to get the job done. Boom, gamepad is in control again :)

    Awesome, thank you
