Got it finally working, wasnt a VorpX or SteamVR fault, with the right OBS settings SBS can be captured.Iv created a scene that you can import into OBS, please read on here

Dont bother with these settings, they seem to be a leftover from an older version. :-/

I am abit busy right now, though found some settings that may affect how the Headset mirror image and distortion looks like. open steamvr.settings and experiment with

    “mirrorView” : 1,
    “mirrorViewEye” : 2,
    “mirrorViewGeometry” : “-32000 -32000 160 24”,
    “mirrorViewGeometryMaximized” : true,

i find especially the last 2 lines interesting.

I forgot to mention, steamVR underwent some schanges, a few versions back the VRmirror view was still undistorted and you couldnt choose beetween left, right both eyes etc.
Btw: Not shure if understand you right, are you recording left and right eye sperately with OBS ? Thats not needed when recoding the Mirror Window in both eyes mode. At least a while ago. Well, the distorted lense view messes up everything anyhow now. Perhaps there is a way to switch back to undistorted view. There are a bunch of debug shortcuts which i havent tried yet. – Menu top left corner of the STeam VR Mirror.

Ive tested the way described in the link above and it dont get any good results either (with vorpx). OBS captures either one eye only through the VR monitor or nothing at all. In desktop mode i also get a (small) black bar in the middle, but havent tried to view the output video back yet, the bar might not be visible when viewed through HMD.

A year ago (or was it two) the SteamVR trick used to work as a charm.

If you are able to use steamVR there is a way to record SBS movies with the SteamVR Headsetmonitor in OBS

havent done this for a while though.

    Additional Info:

The FOV setting will take effect whenever you start moving forward.

    Alternate Profile

Ive uploaded an alternate profile Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a with more depth on weapons but on the cost of 3D on the environment. May look even more realistic.

Man, VorpX provides VR for almost 1000 games now, every game sometimes needs hundrets of hours to be fixed and you expect just for a few bucks any game to work with vorpX immediately. Give the devs a break !

A game profile needs to be adjusted for each game individually. Game updates can break this anytime. Please dont blame VorpX for that .

Ive done some extensive testing with different DGVoodoo2 versions today. It appears that newer versions then 2.6 in DX9 mode (DX8 etc. not tested) will not work with many older profiles. ( I strongly recommend adding the version thats been used for a profile to the profile name to prevent confusion. )

A while ago i ran into something similar, IIRC with a Unity DX11 Game.
(Subnautica is also Unity). Though i am in doubt that profile saving can have something to do with a certain game engine, but who knows..

Something that i can imagine of is that HTC Software interferes by starting up itself whenever you start a game in VR.(very unlikely but worth a try) In order to verfiy that, take a screenshot of your taskmanager before and after you start the game (with vorpx) and then compare both screenshots. If you find a program running on the second one,but not on the first, exclude it from vorpx and see if it helps. Or, if possible disable the HTC software completely

Thanks for the submission! Just a hint: If the other “new game” came from you, i can only accept new games with a 3D screenshot (and of corse an existing cloud profile that users can access), otherwise i would not be able to prove the profile is really 3D.( Its a must in order to properly maintain the list ) BTW: Screenshots are explained Here or Here

    Hello everyone,

The inofficial list grew some kind over my head. For unknown reasons i missed a bunch of new games on the Engine link list which i have updated today.

Though the list of “Unknown” Engines became quite large this way.
    https://rjkole.com/gamestuff/engines/index.php?selengine=Unknown
I would like to ask everyone to have a quick look and make a quick submission if the engine to the corresponding game is known. Probably a bunch of UN4/Unity games.

I would also like to remind everyone that you very easily can submit 3D Screenshots to the site. I get more and more of visitors each day and a few more screenshots would be good.

    Tutorial on screenshots:
