RJK_ParticipantHello guys, i have put an extended Genre List online this morning, containing the official games also. Please help updating the list by clicking on the red links, thanks
RJK_ParticipantIve updated my personal profile list so someone can do a genre research an that, If i get enough feedback through the Engine List (i just dont know every game, please send a short message like “Witcher 2, 3rd Person, RPG ect. ) i will then create a genre research for the official profiles as well.
RJK_ParticipantI am huge fan of 3rd person games as well. Some “older” ones that come on my mind, Arcania, Divinity 2, Hellgate: London (if you like HUGE monsters and extremely noisy fights, probably my favorite game so far), Avatar (riding the dragon makes you feel like youre actually flying, crazy experience), Cursed Mountain (Adventure), Damnation, Dark Sector (IIRC), Game of Thrones , Hunted: The Demons Force, Rise of the Argonauts, Turok (2008), Torchlight .. Two Worlds of coarse, Velvet Assassin.
RJK_ParticipantHello Ralf, for DX9 games i use DGVoodoo only if absolutely everything fails concerning proper S3D creation, for example Sudeki or Spellforce, both didnt offer any matrices, so in those rare cases the wrapper was a really big help through the DX11 pipeline.
Another reason i can think of the wrapper could be a help is when a (mostly very old) DX9 game cant be tweaked to higher resolutions. “Force resoultion” makes some 480×600 games look real good. Anyhow i treat these DGVoodoo workarounds as a last chance only to make a game S3D and i would advice everyone to do so too.
RJK_ParticipantThe newest DGWoodoo2 WIP supports DX9 shader model 2.x .
I think these are real good news !
RJK_ParticipantI would guess since its not possible at all to convert a movie into a real 3D like G3D, vorpX wouldnt be able to do this neither. Ive seen some converted movies, but they were all fake 3D only and not worth looking at. You could try some free software converters from the internet and view them afterwards with a supported movie player, baut as said, in fake 3D only.
RJK_Participant
RJK_ParticipantI forgot, there are also many 3D profiles for older games in the vorpx cloud.
RJK_Participant
RJK_ParticipantThe Dragons Nest is probably the best one to start with.
RJK_ParticipantAfter using vorpX for more then 1 year i still find (old new) things to discover. Sift+Mousewheel in Magnifier mode, VERY logical and useful ! Recently i found out that even Cubemap Images can be loaded into background…

RJK_ParticipantI was curoius if DGVoodoo2 can handle this. If anyone wants to play the original , ive uploaded a G3D profile today to the cloud- https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/have-you-gotten-an-unsupported-game-to-work-tell-us-which-one/page/23/#post-176741
RJK_Participant@delrifter22 Thanks for the two new ones. Could you drop me your email adress through my website please ? – we dont have a PN function in the forum here.
RJK_ParticipantI was going to look if Warcraft 3 can be used with DGVoodoo but i saw a Warcraft 3 Profile under local profiles.
@Ralf
Since Warcraft 3 is using DX8.1 , which Warcraft 3 exactly does that profile cover ?Nov 10, 2018 at 11:18am in reply to: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2? Does it work at all? #176624 -
