I hope i am not ruining your day, but what could possibly cause a flickering when in G3G Mode and Dir.Mode.async.Render = ON with Framerates around 60/60 ? (Alt+F) The hole screen including the VorpX Menu is flickering man :-(

Funny, here is just the opposite happening what you describe in an older post..

    Rolf said:

BTW: Disabling async rendering is not recommended unless a game safely runs at 90fps. Disabling it can cause severe judder/flicker in situations with really low framerates (below 30fps), so leaving it on is usually better to be on the safe side in that regard.

    It flickers when ON.

    Thanks for your hard work.

Unfortunately I have a similar to amlost same question. The new version seems to provide rather less framerates then the previos version. I also note a flickering vorpX menu and the game (i am playing Hunted:the demons forge a Beshesda Game, which ran extremely well before / in Geomentry Mode) now flickers (looks like framedrops every few seconds) even though ALT+F shows framerates of 45 or above. The only way to get rid of this but no higher FPS then 45 is to turn OFF Dir.Mode.Asnc.Render.

With the privious version i had framerates up to 80/90, this version doesnt come over 50 to 60. (18.1 neither)

Is it possible to roll back to 17.2 or so ? If not could you make this possible somehow. May be some PCs are different and might work better with an older version. I know i should have made a copy of vorpX befor updating, but that goes all so fast when mistakely going online and i have no idea how to fix this :-(

i would almost beg for a rollback option.

PS: Lowering resolution does not help with the flickering, there must be wrong something else.

Here i have some values which were much higher before:
    Dir.Mode.async.Render ON – Dir.Mode.Fluid.Sync ON 45/58
    Dir.Mode.async.Render ON – Dir.Mode.Fluid.Sync OFF 45/59
    Dir.Mode.async.Render OFF – Dir.Mode.Fluid.Sync OFF 45/45

You may tray a Skyrim profile for G3D or any profile which supports “The Devision”, You also could try a profile which works with Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Far Cry 3, Just Dance Nowany or any other 3D ubisoft game past 2014 (not guaranteed). The all use the same engine as far i was able to discover.

There is a game i have just added to the engine list called “Off-Road Drive” from 2011 using the Unreal 3 Engine. I would guss this game should habe G3D. Unfortunately the game seems only to be availiable through “Steam”.

Well, i finally bought me an I7 and got rid of the framedrops.

What i am wondering about is that i changed from an i3-6100 to an i7-6700 and the FPS didnt raise at all (G3D on HUNTED). Somehow strange is that the game above runs extremly well and fast now, VorpX says 30 FPS only but i cant really beleive that because the game runs so fluend. (GTX 970).

What Graphics cards did you change and can you give me some numbers you had improved in FPS ?

… by now ive tried quite a few vr games and i got motion sick on each and that very quick. I started playing Hunted: the demons forge a few days ago and only hell knows why i can play this game for hours without getting motion sick. – very strange !

I wondered because most games i have tried so far run without studdering or hangers, only a framedrop every few minutes, even i dont even move around in a game. I could imagine that some part of windows is responsible for that.

Interesting that Unreal 2 works with 3D Vision. May be the Engine has either DX8,1 which seems to be a half DX 9, or its recognized as DX9 by 3D Vision or 3D Vison supports DX 8,1 period. Even the web says UN2 is DX8.0

    DIRT 2

BTW: Another benefit of vorpX is that you get (limited) head tracking in Codemaster games, since vorpX can use the head tracker as gamepad axis.

It is kind of ridiculous to call this game “supported”, the headtracking only has 3 positions , middle left and right. This is not headtracking this is crap.

Hello there, ive been trying to run sam & max season 1 with vorpx without success. In the log i find this line which makes me worry:

INF: VorpControl Injector InjectVorpDll1: Aborting Injection. DLL already loaded.

Is there a possible explanation for that “dll already loaded” ?
