Hm, very strange – I changed bindings, even restarted vorpx to make sure and checked it stayed, but launching the player file gets sent to recycle bin without even promt window and while player stays open vorpx doesnt hook.

I dont know why that happens and binding doesnt affect it apparently.

I am using special standalone build because it works with SVP (https://www.svp-team.com/) which I highly recommend, but I know for a fact vorpx used to work flawlesly with it before.

VLC works but then I have to choose to ether have ambient background or high frame interpolated videos.

P.S.: If you are fixing whatever thing is messing with MPC-HC next update I am going to take an opportunity to remind you to change storage location for custom 3d backgrounds that currently are in my documents and have access issues on automatic mode (was discussed in another post).

Ok, Im quite used to delete but I will, still the actual problem is not working player. Not only it doesnt hook, it crashes the player unless its related to it trying to open a deleted file.

field of view is very important with vorpx, usually games are meant to be played at a certain distance, console games for example are intended to play on tv while on a coach so they have lowest fov, like 60-70 if you try to play in vr with that you will feel claustrophobic, its like looking through a binoculars from the wrong side, feels too zoomed in and not enough to see around.

PC games usually are meant to play on a monitor on your desk so fov is higher but still not enough for vorpx where screen is in your face.

For full vr in vorpx you need fov so high that on a normal screen it will look all distorted, while in vr those distarted sides of screen will feel your peripheral vision.

Basiclally closer the screen is to your face higher fov you need.

For comfy and pleasant vorpx experience fov of 110+ is recommended that might vary from 110 to 130 or even more, there is a difference since some games count degrees horizontally, some do it vertically.

For warband here it is also needed to be more aware of surroundings, see your weapon as you block, see enemies around you better.

Ye, administrative mode these days is very messed up, everything was fine and smooth 4 years ago then they had to release security updates for their shitty coding that made end users suffer more. There are more issues caused by security updates than messed up admin mode for apps like yellow outline on game windows that you are trying to stream that cant be switched off.

All those devices basically send thumbstick tilt data to steamvr or something as leg movement input I think, so technically vorpx lets you rebind vr controller input as gamepad or keyboard input and in theory could work as desktop game controls. I think Ive even seen people on one of those play battlefield or something way back.

Only thing you have to understand vorpx doesnt convert any game in full vr, there are some with enough tricks to make it look like one, but its still limited and it wont be as good as full vr shooters, for example – no support for vr controllers to move your gun, its stuck to your face like on a monitor.

you need to use fullscreen because you are trying to go over monitor resolution, if you set desktop resolution same or bigger as one you set in game you can play windowed.

camera mod on nexus is broken, but you can easily change settings manually with whatever fov you want for 1st person in

    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs\

open BannerlordConfig.txt and set FirstPersonFov=120 or whatever

Battlefront one works, only z3d but good enough. Now I need to find a fov mod.

To my knowledge you cant do anything about official profiles, they are editable default and supposed to work best. Usually if there is a user profile for the game on the cloud that you already have as official one it just means user profile is very old and was made before official one long ago.

So most of the time the best option you have is official local profile, you dont need to replace it with user profile from the cloud and you cant anyway.

If you want to replace one user profile with another, just click on exe in the list and press delete or something.

Games only render what player sees obviously to save resources. When you hack fov with vorpx it only hacks camera fov, doesnt tell game engine fov should be wider so game just doesnt render past its original fov. Maybe old game rendering pipeline is tied to camera so they react better when vorpx hacks it.

So you should always look for ways to increase games fov via other ways. For modern games usually there are few methods:

Setting files, especially for unreal engine games. Unreal games also have this https://framedsc.github.io/GeneralGuides/universal_ue4_consoleunlocker.htm to add console back (press ~ and type fov 120 after it hooks to a game)

And then there are specific fov mods for some games that people have coded, that dont just do it like vorpx, but make game fully aware fov is being increased. Generally I recommend searching games name in here https://www.pcgamingwiki.com or googling “gamename fov mod”

Wide fov and high res are 2 of the most important things to get right to enjoy games with vorpx.
