Thanks for info, I would use Z3D myself to give my 1070 a breather

They did confirm the date, bought ads with the date and there is a reason to be upset, but the whole delay and rush to fix the major issue that could justify a delay, when marketing, devs and fans all were hoping for 19th release, it all is much more stressful on the dev team rather than potential players. Instead of relaxing after so much overtime to finish it they got more overtime, death threats and shit from all over the place.

Im more upset by reaction of gamers as a whole rather than delay itself and no, no one here acted like entitled assholes in regards for the delay, sorry for putting you next to people sending out death threats.

Cheat engine is great, but Im just saying its the last resort. For example vorpx has a hacky way to add FOV boost too but if you use that you will see game stop rendering objects in the corner of the screen because it assumes you cant see it and games dont render what you dont see for performance reasons.

Dont be entitled. Some impatient dumb escapist junkies have even started sending death threats to cdproject.

Delay is perfect since you might actually have a chance to buy latest gpu before game releases…hopefully.

Game profiles are just settings for vorpx, which hooks to executable of the game, those settings/instructions point to specific memory addresses/exe parts to edit so if profile was made for steam version it might not work with gog version or disk version or a pirated game etc. Only way is to try. It should hook to a game once you launch since its waiting for you to start an executable of specific name.

Steamvr is probably the right choice if vr desktop already starts it.

Its not just cheat engine, fov and resolution are 2 key settings you have to put quite high for vorpx to feel great.

Just searching for %gamename% fov fix, widescreen mod, fov config usually results in better option than cheat engine in regards of fov, memory hacking will always be more hassle, more crashy and less reliable than other fov solutions.

Cheat engine camera hacks often have first person mods for 3rd person games though, which is nice.

Just checked other screenshots Ive made and it all does look flat, while I know for certain profiles are G3D, so I guess I need to find a better way to make screens

Well to make screenshots I had to launch in “generic 3d monitor” mode, maybe something broke with that, but in game on index I have been switching g3d on and off to make sure it was actually working.

Havent checked other screenshots Ive posted here, maybe all of them are uselessly flat since that is the only way I can take screens without headset lens cutouts.

Exanima runs 144 fps on 144hz index in vorpx if I hook to the game, but then I cant have stereo. Since my monitor is old LG tv that can only go 60hz vorpx is the only way I can play on 120-144 hz and its nice when it works, but with stereo its better.

    Well it works.

Tried exanima with reshade and vorpx desktop view, it worked and aspect ratio was correct in sbs, however performance was absolute garbage around 20 game and 15 headset from what vorpx reported while in-game fps counter said 120.

Tried immediately through vr desktop and while I cant see fps counter that vr desktop has while in game it felt much more playable, barely even noticeable there are performance issues.

I dont know what causes issues and it was just 1 game I’ve tested and plus not intended use, 3rd party software in a way etc, etc. Something is messing with performance, but at least I now know how to do it and about a watcher. So I did gain from this conversation.

    Thanks.

I checked before writing here and now checked again and I did miss it since it was in image tab and image tab usually doesnt have such thing.

However I think it just separates what screen shows to corresponding eyes, without stretching to fix stereopair being cramped into 1 screen, maybe changing aspect ratio fixes it.

Whats more launching any executable makes vorpx hook into it without a profile and that stereopair option from image tab disappears (only has standard image quality setting)

Oh btw here is anoter idea/request.

For same problem solution – vorpx has desktop viewer which can be used to play games without hooking.

VR Desktop has 2 modes that accounts for stereopair on screen: 1) just sends each image to corresponding eye, 2) same, but stretches it to match actual screen aspect.

If Vorpx desktop viewer could do the same then 3rd party solutions (or if its built in game like in latest tomb raider) could be used easily (yes I know tomb raider is supported, but imagine another game rendering a pair on screen and vorpx not knowing what to do with it without a dedicated profile)

At first I was happy someone managed to get g3d since trying old amnesia profiles only got vorpx to hook and show no stereo image of the game.

There are weird artifacts and that thing you mentioned that alternates eyes, especially noticeable while moving, but 3d strength slider does nothing and switching geometry on and off seems not to change anything too.

I know eyes can play tricks on you trying to see stereo in vorpx, where you almost convince yourself its in stereo while its flat. While real 3d jumps at you right away, if its there, its there and there is no doubt. But to make absolutely sure I compared it to vr desktop + reshade z3d for opengl and reshade z3d is noticeable right away compared to this.

So unfortunately I have to conclude this profile (at least for me) has no stereo whatsoever.
