steph12Participantwhat a nightmare.
https://www.guru3d.com/news_story/geforce_rtx_3080_and_3090_shortages_will_last_through_2021.html
looks like i wont be able to play cyberpunk 2077 in all its glory and hopefuly with vorpx because stuck with my old but beloved gtx 1080.
steph12Participantso anyone got an ampere card ?
curious to know vorpx performance increase with this card from pascal cards to ampere cards.
steph12Participanti’m just playing cinematic mode (no background) with gamepad (no headtracking) but if you play with mouse you can have headtracking, i almost didnt tweak the profile except getting the cinematic windows a bit closer.
i wish we could tweak the fov, but so far it’s perfectly playable, looks great, performance is good in Z3D despite of the game being caped at 60 fps.
i’ll try to share my profile this afternoon, but since i changed my hardware i’m not allowed to, each time i get message “this profile was created by another user” yet i’m trying to share a custom profile of my own based on official profile.
steph12Participantbtw, use it at your own risk, i dont know if we can get banned for this, vorpx is not a hacking tool in the “cheating” aspect, but i’m not 100% sure this could be tolerated by devs.
anyway i’m using it and it looks really good :p
steph12Participanti bet it will run on updated witcher 3 engine, read more nextgen proof, with RTX and so on, the fact that cdprojekt has already announced that they’re going to release the witcher 3 with RTX and others stuff on nextgen consoles make me think both games have the same engine as base.
that means we can be optimistic that we’ll be able to play cyberpunk 2077 in VR using vorpX :D
steph12Participantone more reason to upgrade to RTX
NVIDIA’s DLSS 2.1 Supersampling Now Supports VR, Could Significantly Boost Fidelity
now i’m drooling all over the place !
steph12Participant6gb vram on 3070 and 10 gb vram on 3080 is a no go for me, specially with the upcoming nextgen games.
i’m going to wait for at least 16-20gb cards, like the probably upcoming (in a few months) rtx 3080 ti.
that being said, if it doesnt release before cyberpunk 2077 i’ll just go rtx 3090.
steph12Participanti cant wait for benchmarks :droooooool:
and i heard that a rtx 3070 ti got spotted, maybe we’ll have rtx 3080 ti release in a few months, hopefully just in time for cyberpunk 2077 ^^
steph12Participantheadtracking is linked to mouse looking, hold right button and then you can use headtracking.
steph12Participanttry to create a custom.cfg file in \half-life 2\hl2\cfg\ i dont remember the exact location.
look here for tweaks http://fr33man.altervista.org/HL2guida/HL2_7.htm
you can try to tweak fov_viewmodel if for some reason directVR dont fully work for you, when i played black mesa months ago, except for flickering weapons, i didnt have giants hands/weapons.
steph12Participantyou use directVR ?
steph12Participantcool, thanks ;)
steph12Participanti’m so sick of this.
you DONT buy vorpx for ONE game.
and VorpX worth way more than 40 Euros. i cant wait to see Ralf asking for a yearly sub for VorpX, i will gladly pay 40 euros a year to use VorpX if i really have to !
steph12Participantdoes fov reset everytime you talk to a npc ?
steph12Participantyou dont need a demo for vorpX.
vorpX is the best VR software.
i have thousands of hours in vr thanks to VorpX, i repeat, VorpX is the best thing you can buy to use with your vr headset.
