Try making direct scan without a controller plugged in and make sure to not touch the mouse while scanning. Some games often fail at scanning when you are near walls. Try to go to an open area.

No there is no such feature and it wouldn’t be possible without a native modification to the games, so this is out of the scope of Vorpx.

You should be able to change the fov in the ingame vorpx menu.

How old is the video you are following? Is it before the official release of the CV1? You don’t need to do anything but toggle on “unknown sources” under settings > general in the Oculus app these days.

Yes, you can look around. You can set what ever resolution you prefer in the Vorpx menu as long as you add it as a custom resolution in windows.

Yeah, in theory Ralf could make movement patterns and map them to buttons like they did on the wii games, but it would mean a lot of work, and the feature could end up being a disaster that never pans out, so I don’t see Ralf spending his time on it, since Vorpx is already an endless endeavor.
That said if such a feature was implemented it would probably benefit a lot of games :)

This is because of how the game handles the camera when in third person mode. You’d need a mod that makes the camera handle the axis as it does in first person view, but I don’t think that exists. Use edge peek or switch to cinema mode, when you want to play in third person are probably the best solutions for now.

Impossible unless someone makes a mod, which they probably won’t or I’d have already been done. It might not even be possible with the current modding tools anyway. I think your best bet is to wait and hope for a PC release of SkyrimVR, when the PS exclusivity has been lifted.

I’m playing Oblivion with Vorpx right now and haven’t been able to solve all of these issues.
I honestly don’t understand why the Oblivion Reloaded devs insist on keeping it all in one mod. If the mod had been 10 or more mods I’d endorse at least 5 of them :(

Well, here are my recommended VR mods.
    1. FOV modifier – To make the FOV consistent and not change every 2 minutes. You’ll only need to set it up once.
    2. Dot Crosshair – Smaller crosshair
    3. Darns UI – Smaller UI and Crosshair
    3. Loot Menu – adds a FO4 style quick loot system, which is good for avoiding menus. You need to tweak it in the .ini that comes with the mod. I think you can tweak it while the game is loaded as long as you reload a save every time you’ve changed and saved the .ini.
    4. Menu and camera toggler – To turn of UI with a button press.
    5. Enhanced Camera – To add a body in first person.

Glad you like it. It is such a personal thing. If you are one of the people who thinks Z-buffered is more than enough you have a truly vast library of games to check out. Check out my list of VR mods to make Fallout NV a smoother experience.
It’s from before Direct VR, but most of it is still relevant. Here it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/5f4sj4/new_vegas_in_vorpx_looks_and_plays_gloriously/

It sounds like you are the kind of person who would enjoy Vorpx. To me the amount of tinkering is minimal in the best supported games, but I always end up tinkering more throughout my playthroughs to get it just a bit better, but it’s not actually needed. Right now I’m playing Oblivion and it’s amazing. Runs well even though I’ve modded it fairly heavily and honestly aside from having to use edge peek to zoom out, when in dialogue and using menus, which is definitely a design choice native supported games would solve, it feels like native support on par with RE7 on PSVR. And so does Fallout NV (especially with mods), Bioshock Infinite and Dishonored.
Biggest issue I’ve had is performance issues, even on a i7 4790k and a GTX 1080 Ti I had to somewhat compromise in Fallout 4 for instance. But some games just run well on any system and especially older games look better than you’d think and run great in VR. Second issue is big hands in some games, which I think bothers me more than most.

I think you can fix the big hands issue in normal Skyrim with the Enhanced Camera mod. Install and enable experimental third-person hands in the mods .ini.

Nah, biggest issue I have with Skyrim is the giant hands issue, which can be somewhat fixed with a mod called enhanced camera and you need to enable experimental hands in the ini for the mod, if i remember correctly.

Vorpx is not just a theater mode. It’s an app that hooks into games and makes them playable in some form of VR. The quality of the experience varies from game to game, where some feel almost native and some are just running in 3D or 2D theater mode. Here is a playlist on how to setup Vorpx. Watch the first video and then go on and watch the one specific to RE7 and the RE7 update video. You should be able to get it working with a few visual bugs here and there. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7wZ82bhoGB6UOA-1_aUc3QHwMVeEjNv4

Make sure to install this https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635/? You need FOSE, but the New Vegas version works just fine on FO3 and even Oblivion.

You should also consider playing Tale of Two Wastelands, which makes both 3 and NV playable in the NV engine. You can travel back and fourth between the two games by train. I’ve heard that it is more stable than FO3 and you can use many NV mods in the FO3 world.
