TiggerdyretParticipant
Well, I it seems to differ. Some say SSE runs better than old Skyrim. My guess is that SSE runs better than old, if you’ve got a strong gpu. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRzLgRvqfDs&t=1s
But I’m mostly interested in how vorpx is running, so enb is a no go. I have a lot of experience with modding skyrim to death, but I don’t really want to bother with setting it up if the fps is still too low. I don’t think vanilla Skyrim looks good enough to play in vorpx over a heavy modded game on a monitor :)
TiggerdyretParticipantThis should do the trick, but it’s for the old Skyrim, which is current better supported than SSE. https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/some-help-for-skyrim-offered/
I’m personally waiting a few weeks until SSE has gotten better Vorpx and modding support, but you could give them both a try and see what runs best on your system.
TiggerdyretParticipantHi, Nirvana.
I just wanted to give my two cents on the buy as there tend to be a lot of ill will towards Vorpx.
Vorpx is not for everyone. It’s for people who really want to play their games in “some king of” VR and are willing to tinker and see past a few issues. If you are the kind of person who just want to hit the play button and get a finished experience you might get disappointed.
That said I think it’s an amazing app well worth it’s price tag. Even if you don’t end up playing games with Vorpx, because of motion-sickness, stutters or bad graphics, just walking around in your favorite game worlds in geometric 3d is still an amazing ride.TiggerdyretParticipantCan’t wait :)
TiggerdyretParticipantAmen, Vorpx id the main reason I’m saving up for a CV1!
TiggerdyretParticipantMy guess is, it will come in the next update. Bethesda games have always been high on the list for vorpx profiles. I also think SSE could very well look better than your modded Skyrim, because of the lighting, which looks a lot like ENB, but will still be compatible with Vorpx, and will run faster than ENB ever could. Vorpx compatibility is actually the main reason why I am excited for SSE.
TiggerdyretParticipantMO has a seperate INI file. Maybe there something in the ini file, you’ve forgotten.
TiggerdyretParticipantThat’s a good idea, I’ll mess with cinema mode the next time I visit him.
Thanks for the shift+mousewheel tip that will help alot.
I’ll probably post more suggestions and problems down the line, but I respect that your goals are someplace else at the moment. You are doing great work Ralf!
Thanks for your response.
TiggerdyretParticipantYou really need to be one of those people who don’t get motionsick to enjoy it right now I think. I wouldn’t buy a Vive expecting Skyrim to be the sell. I think it’s amazing to walk around in, but I’m not sure I’d be able to enjoy it as it is right now. It requires a lot of tinkering to get working well and you really notice how weird the proportions in the world are.
TiggerdyretParticipantEverything you need to know: https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/some-help-for-skyrim-offered/
TiggerdyretParticipantOkay, that’s probably the reason. I don’t see a direct headtracking option only the scan for direct headtracking or what it’s called, that just messes everything up.
TiggerdyretParticipantHow about adding the desktop extra screen zoom feature to 3d edge peek in games? It would really mean the world to my dad and it could probably be useful in games with smaller font sizes for a lot of other people too.
If you are interested I would be open to paying you for adding such a feature, if it wouldn’t take too much time. Please mail me at ketil-jensen@hotmail.com
TiggerdyretParticipantOkay, I got it working with Vorpx’s controller emulations, but couldn’t see the direct headtracking feature anywhere even though Skyrim is mentioned in the What’s new sections of Vorpx config.
TiggerdyretParticipantSkyrim is great imo. I don’t seem to be as bothered by low fps as some prople, and I don’t think I’ve seen anything that could comepare to a modded skyrim. Just walking around in the cities with the amazing mountain backdrops looking at the npcs close, is worth the time setting up the game.
TiggerdyretParticipantI tried again and couldn’t get it working. No big deal. I’ll just try with xpadder. And thanks for the quick answers. Your great support is one of the reasons why I decided to spend the money for this program in the first place. Keep up the good work :)
