Turn off the controller in vorpx, so you use the game’s native controls.

Play in cinematic mode. GTA V is not working well in VR mode, then it’ll work with native controller support. Check out how I set mine up. It is still a great experience and you can actually play the game from start to finish with these settings. https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/i-got-gta-v-working-really-well-heres-how/

Those are all great games. I also got New Vegas running great in Z-normal mode. It almost looks better this way, because the game has such weird proportions in the game world in true 3D.

Thank, I tried with Z-adaptive and it runs smooth as butter at 45 fps, so it must be a coincidence that the games Iv’e tried in G3D hover in the low 40s. or maybe it dips down to lower than 45 and back again before the fps registers and thus stutters Just out of interest what games were you able to run well in G3D mode?

Okay, makes sense. It still doesn’t feel very smooth. I get a lot of stutters. I’ll try to play with the settings some more.

Vorpx has it’s own field of view. But it is often better to use mods for these things as vorpx can create issues in some games. Try this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/20377/?. another mod called OBSE for it to work. http://obse.silverlock.org/
Readt the manual carefully to isntall correctly.

For the slow walk try to hit caps-lock. Sometimes Vorpx reverses the controller, so a fix is to select reverse run-walk in controller settings of the ingame Vorpx-menu. For the console try to hit every single button of you keyboard or do a google search in french for the console in oblivion. This is probably not the right forum to answer such a question.

Nope, it’s 1.10. Look under your general tab in the Oculus app.

I get that $50 bucks is a lot for something you don’t use, but I also think it’s pretty naive to believe that $50 will get every none VR-game working out of the box. That said, Vorpx seems to make people either extremely satisfied or the polar opposite, which leads me to believe that something needs to be done about their messaging and how the app is presented to potential costumers, before they buy it. There should probably be a pretty big work-in-progress disclaimer, if there isn’t one already.

I personally think it’s money well spent and then some. Eventhough I haven’t actually really played any games with it yet, it’s been extremely entertaining to see some of my favorite game worlds realized in virtual reality. Vorpx isn’t for everyone and you probably need to be a tinkerer by heart and pretty resistant to motion-sickness to fully enjoy it.

I’ve had a problem where the sticks on my controller seem to be mapped to buttons on top of the movement. So I’ll switch to third person or begin springing (Project Nevada), when I move around. It also seems to change behavior everytime I load the game. Could be the same issue, where it’s hitting alt tab instead.

Yeah, I’ve done that, but it’s kind of a hassle to get right and I tend to move around a lot, so I often need to recenter, which doesn’t work well. It takes me out of the game too much, when I have to squeez down constantly. It’ll work for now, but I still think a heigh offset would be a good idea :)

I cranked it to 2560×1440 and that really helped with the screen door effect. Close objects still look bad 3d-wize, but it doesn’t affect vehicles. I’ll maybe try to lower the fov a bit and see how it feels.

Sadly SSE Ralf has said that SSE isn’t optimized well for Vorpx at the moment. I really hope he finds a solution.

    Answered my own question.
This list should be a sticky, that the community keeps up to date.
