Thank you dellrifter22! I set Clarity FX off (“low” didn´t do it) that also solved the problem.
ToxicMikeParticipantHey matteo39 thanks for replying!
The one by [destructeur] wasn´t working so i checked the [luka2009] profile which works well (except that weird glitch).
I actually just came back from giving it another try with tweaking the configurations this time, so as it looks like:
Switching to 3D [both zNormal and zAdaptive does it] mode, even that 3D does not work (since DX12 i guess), makes the glitch disappear!
Haven´t yet figured out if there is another way of tweaking it so that this glitch disappears, but since switching to 3D solves it, it´s totally fine for now.
Happily it is not my oculus-goggles causing it after all.
Edit: Glitch (with 3D off!) seems to happen mostly on certain dark to black colors of the screen, so the nightskies is full of those glitches while the white little stars are surrounded by those black pencil circle-shapes.
ToxicMikeParticipantAlso, my Oculus device started to have certain connection-issues within the last months, obviously getting worse now.
I am just mentioning this since there also might be chances that those “pencil-lines”-issues are cauesd by my oculus device maybe(?).
ToxicMikeParticipant@ ToxicMike: I believe there are better (and more than enough) places than the vorpX forum places to argue about how good or bad a game is.
Do you see anyone arguing here?
(that was just a rhetorical question)
ToxicMikeParticipantPeople really play that crappy free2play/pay2win shit?
ToxicMikeParticipantI am actually playing it myself at this moment and i am using a PS4 controller, which works flawlessly with Fallen Order as well with other games like Desperados 3, the Resident Evil 2 Remake etc.
Tried your ps5 controller with other games in vorpX? Probably a ps4 controller solves it after all.
ToxicMikeParticipant3D is dead…at least for Home Entretainment, so lets hope VR can kinda resurrect it, even if i kinda doubt it, but hope dies last.
ToxicMikeParticipantYou shouldn´t use desktop viewer at all and only for certain cases.
You must make vorpX “hook” into games, for getting the best results. If vorpX does not hook then installing “hook helpers” can do it.
If you´re not much familiar with vorpX-hooking then you must read yourself into it, otherwise you can´t get the best out of it.
I for example, often don´t even use 3D-features and only use vorpX to play games on a huge theater-screen, but also there i am always using the hooking-method in the first place and even if it is just a pixel-graphics sidescroller.
ToxicMikeParticipantI am not that much of a 3D-Fan and mostly bought vorpX to play on huge theater screens (free software doing the same causes too many troubles with several games) rather than having 3D effects, even if those effects can be really nice and add alot to the experience.
So far i am gettin more into that 3D thing over the time and seem to use this feature more often now. Just today i started RESIDENT EVIL 2 (the remake of course) again, but this time in 3D and wow….LOL…when i first saw it all with geometry i almost fell off my chair. SADLY my rig can´t handle it so it´s stuttering pretty bad, lowering graphic configurations made it a little better but i still wasn´t “great”.
But when i switched to Z3D it suddenly ran completely smooth and i was also able to use my standard graphic configuration rather than lowering most of it down to the minimum.
So my first realization: Yes! Geometry seems to suck alot of power, so it seems i should get a better rig asap!
ToxicMikeParticipantEvery game as far i know, uses another .exe when it starts with a launcher, so that is nothing special at all, so whenever you see a launcher window, get prepared to search for the actual real .exe.
Are you trying to make it hook without a profile or did you tried a profile already?
ToxicMikeParticipant“Original Bioshock” would mean the original, not the remastered. I figure you´re talkin about the remastered?
ToxicMikeParticipantLast chance to get the whole collection for free until CET 02/06/2022 17:00!
Jun 1, 2022 at 4:39pm in reply to: I dont understand why immerisive theater does not work with every game? #211118ToxicMikeParticipantVery much thank you for your answer Ralf!
2D is still perfect to me coz i am mostly using vorpX to make use of its theater and ultra-widescreen mode without all the troubles i usually get with free apps so i will get deeper into configurating vorpX the way you described it to handle dx12!
Also have to admit it was my stupid fault not following or searching more related threads to find out about dx12-profiles coz i still thought the whole aspect of vorpX/dx12 is still too troublesome with every game, so thanks again!
May 31, 2022 at 11:26am in reply to: I dont understand why immerisive theater does not work with every game? #211095ToxicMikeParticipantBigscreenBeta handles certain dx12/vulkan games without a problem, on the other hand there are a shitload of games being troublesome with that app (many framerate issues and crashes), while the exact same games are perfectly running well with vorpX (be it with hooking or even on its desktop viewer).
Now we are talking about some actually “crappy” free app, handling certain dx12/vulcan games way better than vorpX and that is something somehow not easy to grasp.
Just today i gave “Zombie Army 4” another chance with vorpX´s desktop viewer but gave it up when it was stuttering in ways not even BigscreenBeta does, besides being forced to play in windowed mode which ain´t the case with using “crappy” BigscreenBeta.
ToxicMikeParticipant3D-Blu-Rays…hmmmm. Didn´t they say “3D is dead!”?
I am aware they still sell it in theaters, but as for now it looks like it is really dead when it comes to home entertainment, there are also lots of consumers review bombing blu-rays on amazon when they´re not released in 3D, guess those guys aren´t even aware they sit on abandoned hardware with dead 3d-blu-rays.
Somehow i hope, now with VR and especially apps like vorpX, they would re-animate 3D for (vr) home entertainment again some day.
