I can’t play flat anymore and with vorpx I don’t have to

LOL vorpX is the only reason for me to keep VR after all coz most of the vr-exclusives never really did it for me except one, two or three titles, now i am even scared that VR-Industry would probably even come to a halt like it happened to 3D-Blu-Rays (a thing i also never got hooked on) with some people still not getting it that 3D-Home-Entertainment (on regular Hardware) is dead…if there wouldn´t be the option to watch 3D-Movies in VR.

The lists here make me wonder at some point, not even one single BATMAN ARKHAM game here??? Considering the fact that the series is one of my (and most others) most favorite games of all times, there should have been at least one of you guys also loving it in vorpX, but that is probably coz most of vorpX users here “only” head for full-vr experiences rather than anything else being possible in vorpX.

I am heading (already completed it years ago, but haven´t tried with vorpX yet) for ARKHAM CITY within the next days, this time heading for a full-blown 3D-expierience, i am even thinking of trying full VR-mode with that one, even that i am aware of 3rd person games actually are best played in immersive screen mode, but one of my actual best vr experiences was HELLBLADE, since then i actually hoped for the industry to keep on making even more vr-exclusive 3rd-person games rather than focusing way too much on fist-person games and all this “immersion”, which in my opinion isn´t suffering with 3rd-person vr games at all.

    Sorry, no Top Ten here!

I am not THAT much into VR-gaming experiences as well as i am not THAT much into 3D as well.

I use vorpX to play my games on immersive-screen-modes/theater-screen/ultrawide-screens mostly, since other virtual-desktop software causes too many problems vorpX doesn´t suffer (so much for those guys who still want to tell me there is no difference in free virtual-desktop software and vorpX) as well not giving that much configuration options as vorpX gives me, or in other words…

….vorpX is a general great experience for me with all games i play on it and i never want to miss it, meaning every gaming expierience i had on my monitor, is even better with vorpX, so i am sorry that i am not here to give a “Top 10” hehe.

I got death stranding to well in vorpx but I can’t seem to pull up the vorpx menu with a xbox controller any help ?

i am playing it with a ps-controller and i wasn´t trying it with an xbox-controller yet, but i guess you already changed the default thumbstick-buttonpress for vorpX menu to a button on the keyboard and tried again?

    Yeah!!!!

Fu** new profiles, the changes in this Version are great enough without any new profiles! I am especially thankful for “Improved immersive screen size/distance”!!!

Besten Dank und beste Grüße aus Österreich! :-))

If Warzone had anti-cheat, it would be worth playing.

And then we couldn’t play it.

    Ah, the sweet irony.

I still wonder what makes people so hooked with those multiplayer-only titles, first of all they are everything else but “long-term-fun”, not to mention that i don´t think they´re a good way of having a what i call a “relaxed gaming evening”.

All you actually do is running around in circles mostly, trying not to get killed while trying to kill others asap…hopefully before the timer runs out or the others got a higher score….oh and how could i forget about all the cheaters, making the complete experience kinda useless to begin with so i rather play with dumb bots.

I tried them all, no matter if it´s Battle-Royale-Crap, Battlefield DMs/CTF etc. etc., they all ended up with me de-installing them at having a playtime of approx. 90 Hours max, unbelievable how someone can get 1000+ hours of “pure fun”.

The same goes for co-op games of any kind, games these days are way too easy anyway so how boring could it be to complete missions with a group of players i can as well pull off on my own, especially when it´s a game with the difficulty-level not changing once co-op players have joined.

Vorpx should be sold by a 12 Month license at 99$ or more

I actually had in mind of asking if Ralf wouldn´t be better off doing it this way rather than making users buying it for this really small price for once.

    On the other hand….

We all are buying several Triple A Games every year, and are not able to pay enough for vorpx, that Ralph can give us with vorpx the greatest gaming moments ever ?

…as of this moment, i am also with those people who easily could afford paying 99 Euros every year (or even more) and i am one of those guys who think 36 Bucks are actually “nothing”, especially compared to the joy vorpX is bringing, so I am currently still wondering how someone could complain about the price of vorpX.

But as i said, this is “currently” the case! With all that covid-shit going on, no one knows how future looks like and there could be alot more people having job-related problems (being workless for longer periods) and/or generally earning far less money than before the crisis kicked in…..meaning that currently i am even not sure myself if i am still earning the same amount of money within the next years and one day i could find myself thinking “Uh oh! 36 Bucks isn´t that cheap!”

…now when i remind myself of the current “graphic-card-crisis” then i should better stop thinking about the future already…..

… also if vr will not become mainstream in games, it will survive in the hardcore gamer scene and the business section.

Funny how i wasn´t caring anymore about VR a few months ago (being an oculus-rift-s owner since a year!) and now i am hoping so much for it to succeed in every way, even when i am probably still using it more or less for theater-screen gaming” lol.

I as well was having a few “scenarios” in my head, on how VR will probably do in the future, with vorpX probably playing a major role in it!

I recently talked to a friend of mine who is into VR and i asked him if he ever tried to make use of those virtual-desktop/theater-screens and he said no. That reminded myself of how i was seeing it, i actually thought that those theater screen are crap and the only reason for me trying it was actually that i wanted to have this one last experience before i am giving away my goggles, actually saving VR for me, as i said on multiple occiasions here. Anyway, my point is that people should be more aware of how great it is to make use of virtual-desktops/theater-screens because obviously people seem to focus too much on this exclusive VR-stuff, which is in my opinion by far not THAT great as the things being possible with vorpX and the chance to play far better games than most of those exclusive vr-games could be.

I subscribe to this, I’d like to know at least that Vorpx is doing fine, because it’s a fantastic piece of software and I’d like to use it all my life

LOL if there wouldn´t be vorpX, i actually would have sold my VR-Gear months ago and that is in my opinion coz VR-exclusives still leave a lot to be desired, let alone certain of those really do suck, so i had hard times to really get myself into VR to begin with, if i wouldn´t have realized how much of a fantastic difference it makes to play non-vr games on huge screens inside VR!

…oh and once again, those free vr-desktop programs ARE NOT the same as vorpX´s vr-desktop, first of all it´s vorpX far better quality but most of all there are too many games not running (or stuttering too much, besides drawing lots of power from hardware) on those free programs.

So much for those users saying “You could have just get yourself virtual desktops for free instead buying vorpX and using it as virtual desktop only.”

The list of games not running on free virtual desktop software has pretty increased since i started to play all my non-vr games with my vr-gear, while they all run on vorpX´s, except certain dx12 games for now.

Reddit is the worst with their vote system.

I could write pages regarding on how lame, stupid but most of all way overrated reddit has become, calling itself “The Frontpage of the Internet” while it is actually more like the ugly mirror of it, let alone that weird and mostly negative voting-behaviour of its users (while actually completely boring and pretty dull stuff is getting upvoted to a point where i actually think it must be bots or bought upvotes coz no real person would upvote that useless crap) along with that stupid “karma system”.

Regarding vorpX I just read a few comments there but i noticed it´s just the usual useless negativity, spread by dorks who think they´d be smarter than they actually are so i skipped reading even further.

In order to make redditors actually “like” something, it either has to be a meme and/or easy to understand, nothing sort of “complicated” coz people there don´t like to use their brains a lot, that is why you find “great” stuff on the frontpage with 80k upvotes….great stuff like that one video showing a car hitting another one (being as original and interesting as the average car-crash-vid on youtube) or those memes where you can´t be sure if everyone loves it there coz it is so friggin simple and stupid or those morons probably only hittin the upvote button so much coz 100 redditors before hit it too, without actually being aware of what is behind it let alone understanding the upvoted meme at all.

The worst thing of all within reddit, is the community there decides what is good and what is bad, completely regardless of how the same thing is seen by others everywhere else, even inside reddit´s different subs there are submissions getting submitted in two rather similiar subs, getting 5k upvotes in one sub while getting downvoted mostly in the other one, and no common sense of this world could probably understand why that is happening.

    I am a fu**ing DUMBASS!

It works! The actual “problem” was me obviously forgot to hit the button to download the h3-profile from paradisedecay when i was at the page.

But then again i ask how it is possible to make a profile for a game when it ain´t hooking (or was paradisedecay only one of few being able to hook?) coz i thought it has to hook first in order being able to make a profile.

Probably i am still not getting it coz i am dumber than i thought, anyway, this one works, thx!

Now i need someone to make an Avengers-Profile coz that one obviously no one here can get to work lol.

For me, the epic-launcher version works after installing the vorpx hook helpers !

I got several games who worked right after installing hook-helper, but in this case it just refuses, well gotta keep trying i gues…

Hmm, so maybe bigscreen improved a bit since I tried it. I stopped using it altogether after they started geo-blocking all content.

They actually just fixed the mess they caused with the patch before, coz it was crashing far more than before and actually everytime you put off your goggles for a few minutes.

In vorpX Cinema mode you can adjust the distance to the screen but not it’s size. A closer screen take up more of your FOV but might not give the impression of a big screen.

A closer (big)screen for example, is something completely awful (almost “blurry”) looking with bigscreen beta, at least until you shrink the size of it down so far until it looks sharper again, but then the size of it ain´t really what i understand as “big” let alone “cinema”. With vorpX you can touch the screen with your virtual nose and it still looks crips sharp.

Personally I find the default screen size to be OK. I generally use cinema for top-down or side-scroller games which are usually called 2.5D, whereas for first/third person games I use immersive.

It depends on my mood, i often use immersive-screen-mode as well for strategy-titles as for third person games because the ambient-light-effect adds alot to the atmosphere, while it can happen i feel like having too much of being surrounded by darkness and ambient light, that´s when i switch to cinema mode.

Certain first person games i also play in immersive screen mode (when they´re not giving me a great feeling in full-vr mode or stutter too much) like GENERATION ZERO, which does a great job at me in 2:35:1 ultra-wide-screen with bending the screen only as much as distortions doesn´t kick in (i also had a great time bending it to the max along with pulling it real close, but distortions can be a pain at times)
