How did you manage to launch it with VorpX ?

I don´t even remember coz this was some longer time ago. But remembering the graphic sharpness of the vorpX configuration was set way too high for my own taste (which never happened yet to any other game i used to play with or without an official profile), i assume it must have been some official vorpX-profile of GOTG that i used.

You can skip the launcher or VorpX hook anyway ?

If you´re not sure, start the game, then start vorpX and click “add process” in which you have to of course add the right GOTG-process in the process tab.

That way you can make sure to not use the exe which causes to open up the launcher instead of the game.

    A bug fiasco?

    When? Where? How?

I was playing it until to the first level-boss to this point, with vorpX hooked and i haven´t encountered any issues so far.

Only “strange” thing i experienced was the graphics being kinda “weird” but i realized it was the vorpX-profile with sharpness being set a little too high in my opinion.

Once a title stops earning the big bucks support usually goes away. It’s without any doubt incredibly frustrating.

Oh of course sooner or later every title will not get supported anymore, but there is a huge difference in not supporting a single player game or making it impossible for OWNERS (who paid money for it) to play it since those fu**tards shut down its servers to save money.

There are probably people who claim “Doesn´t matters, thoaw are old games anyway” and well i say FU** THOSE MORONS! If i paid for a game i want to be able to play it no matter when.

For example, i just installed VELVET ASSASSIN today (looks great on vorpX´s huge theaters-screen by the way! there are games being not that old and they doesn´t look that good), so i am currently enjoying a 14 years old game from 2009 and this one also runs flawlessly well!

If VELVET ASSASSIN would require servers, chances are high i couldn´t enjoy it today, even that i paid for it 14 years ago.

One of the reasons why i never play games that can’t be played offline.

The terribly sad part with the industry these days is the fact that way too many really great games are not only just online-based but somehow require their servers so that once those servers are shut down one day, either the complete game is gone or important features for the single-player experience.

What they did to HITMAN is such a case, the game practically makes no sense when being played offline and i am afraid more of those are coming, since it´s also another way of “protecting” their games from piracy.

I am too glad there are already so many great indie-titles who neither use denuvo nor any kind of drm crap.

Do you guys have internet access and if so, are you familiar with http://www.google.com?

Sorry for being as ass again, but it took me exactly a few seconds to find the appropriate info on where to get the pc version of “MorphX” and even how to get it to work with a xbox360 emulator along with where to get the appropriate xbox360-file.

On the other hand “X-MORPH” has nothing to do with “MorphX” and is a completely different game, so starting an own “X-MORPH”-Thread would give better results probably.

So anyway, “X-MORPH” is using the “Schmetterling”-Engine which is also used for “RIFTBREAKER”, so if there ain´t no profile for “RIFTBREAKER”, chances are high there ain´t no profile for it at all since there are exactly 2 games using that sad indie-engine.

So if you want to find a probably working profile, you should do all the hard work yourself and try all kinds of profiles for games being similiar to riftbreaker/x-morph and with great luck you could get it to work with 3d-effects.

All desktop-viewers tend to make certain games run more or less troublesome, like stuttering a little or stuttering to the point of being nearly unplayable.

While free desktop-viewers are the absolute worst on pc, the vorpX-desktopviewer does a far better job with it, but still you get the best results with making vorpX hook.

Trying to play in October 2022 and having hooking issues. Tried alt. hooking, running in different directX versions, and nothing. Any suggestions?
    Ben

Capcom updated their Resident Evil 2,3 and 7 games to their Resident Evil 8 engine, so maybe it’s causing problems to hook.
Have you tried other profiles ?
Personnaly, i play RE2 with Praydog VR mod.

Not sure if i am missing something here, but you can easily make vorpX hook into the game with using the HORIZON-profile, which i am using for most DX12 games these days.

Of coures you can´t use 3D-effects (z-normal is working here to some point) and full-vr mode is also out of any questions, but when it comes to hooking, that´s not a problem.

By the way, those RE2(remake)-profiles indeed don´t work with the updated version, so you must use, as i said, the horizon-profile.

I confirm COD:VANGUARD successfully hooked with using the CYBERPUNK profile (official, first one in the list).

So guess COD-BLACK OPS:COLD WAR shouldn´t make any problems as well.

As a sidenote: No clue why this is happening with a few titles on vorpX´s desktopviewer, but as with COD:V, WOLFENSTEIN II and ZOMBIE ARMY 4, there are troubles looking like vorpX is kinda “throwing me out of the game” onto the desktop (visible on the monitor screen!) while vr-goggles turn black and vorpX still running in the background, then when i click the game taskbar-icon again i land in the game again and so i am getting thrown back to the desktop again right away, with vr-goggles once again turning black and that “throwback” being visible on the monitor screen.

With WOLFENSTEIN II and ZOMBIE ARMY 4 it happened all the time, while with COD:V it only happened during certain menu-screens and actually not causing any trobules during gameplay! Those games all have different Engines so it´s a miracle to me why this is happening on vorpX´s desktopviewer while most games work flawlessly there.

I would love to watch 3D-blu-rays via vorpX/VR-Goggles but sadly 3d-home entertainment is dead so i don´t see any point in using it after all.

Or are there any rumours about the industry bringing 3D back from the dead yet?

The VorpX’s tips for the game says to go into the VorpX menu and enable TrackIR, so I did. When I did that, the view started spinning and zooming/moving and going crazy. I exited the game.

So this was the first time you changed settings(?).

Upon restarting the game, the view was stable again.

Stable “again”? Have you reset the changes you made before, like disabling TrackIR because you didn´t mention it to this point.

When I turned TrackIR on in VorpX settings,

You turned TrackIR back on? So you were disabling TrackIR before or what?

the view this time stayed stable instead of going crazy which doesn’t make sense to me – how can it act completely different one time compared to the next when I didn’t change any settings?

Well i´d say you actually did change the settings and not only just for once.

Are you even sure you weren´t fucking up at some point during those multiple times of restarting, changing settings, enabling certain settings and disabling settings once again?

I was thinking of purchasing Vorpx after years of people saying stay away from it

LOL who told you to stay away from it???

Those dorks on Reddit? Uh-Oh! Of course, if Reddit says something, then it must be true, the Redditors must be right and so is everything what´s been said there and so Reddit´s reality must become the actual reality for everyone else on this rotten planet!

If there is a community being more naive and stupid than that kindergarten who calls itself Steam, then it´s Reddit.

    Vorpx to become useless?

Why useless? Useless how? You mean vorpX being shut down?

The first reason i bought vorpX is to play my games on huge theater-screens while additional 3D-Effects and the option to play games in a full-vr experience, is just a nice bonus to me.

So i have no clue what you have in mind to do with vorpX and if you are only interested in having the best full-vr experiences ever, but to me vorpX is becoming useless at the moment it is being shut down or cancelled by Ralf and as long this ain´t happening, vorpX is alive and kicking.

with one single payment you get all the mods he’s done, so you get a lot for those $15.

    Well that sounds good…

    Patreons $15 subscription

    …uh-oh!? LOL

So is this that kind of subscription you cancel as soon you downloaded all the stuff you wanted, or can you only access the virtual goods as long as your subscription is active? The latter would mean it´s actually not that cheap at all then.

Subscriptions always leave a bit of a foul taste, no matter what.

I once had the same problem and solved it by just re-naming the exe-file either by just adding a number or using a completely other name, just as luka2099 already said, so yes it works indeed.

As long there is no programm/software/app who is in some way accessing the game´s exe-file (joypad- or mouse-configuration software you are using with the game, etc.) it doesn´t matter what name the exe is actually carrying.

PSVR2 is going to shake things a bit more

I am always forgetting about that one LOL, so you got a point there.
