If you are playing in FullVR mode, you can can switch to EdgePeek with the middle mouse button temporarily to check elements in screen corners.

Alternatively set the ‘Play Style’ to ‘Immersive Screen Mode’ in the vorpX menu. I’m not 100% sure currently, but I think that’s the default. Games that require a lot if menu/inventory etc. interaction are typically better played that way unless the HUD is scalable.

Just in case anyone wonders: there is no watermark in the headset, just a logo on the monitor mirror that serves as injection indicator. I changed the thread title for clarity.

That said, there is an ini option that should do the trick. Go to C:\ProgramData\Animation Labs\vorpX and open vorpX.ini with a text editor. In the [GUI] section set bShowWatermark to False.

The C:\ProgramData folder is hidden per default by Windows. If you can’t see it, enable ‘Show hidden files’ in the Explorer options.

If removing the registry information like RJK_ suggested does not help, please send a mail to support |at| vorpx com describing your problem. The licensing system is a third party component, I have no detailed insight into the way it works. We will have to figure out what to do, never had such a case before in seven years.

If that is the case, it is definitely unintended. Thanks for the heads-up, I’ll look into it. Probably related to a recent change that (on purpose) disables the camera height modifier when switching to EdgePeek mode.

You can switch to EdgePeek mode temporarily with the middle mouse button, right gamepad stick or right VR controller grip button.

There is definitely something wrong with your setup. Never have seen something like that or even heard of something similar TBH. Definitely not some general WMR issue.

What I can suggest is to repeat your SteamVR headset setup and also try to reset the tracking position/orientation in vorpX (ALT+SPACE).

Please do not turn off the Controller in vorpX.

Both the 2001 and the 2011 games are supported. The latter is called ‘Alice Madness Returns’ and is a different game, not just a remaster in the strict sense.

The FOV in F.E.A.R is set by DirectVR (via an automated ini edit in this case). If you want, you can change it on the DirectVR page of the vorpX menu, but there is no need to do that. The FOV calculated by DirectVR is the right one for your headset with no margin of error.

Should be a no-brainer normally. Please try with a fresh, completely unmodded Fallout install and if that works, add back your mods one by one. Mods may interfere with DirectVR.

Choose the highest that you consider still having decent performance. You should aim for at least half your headset’s refresh rate, for a Rift S that means 40fps minimum. You can check your frame rate with ALT+F.

I answer as much as I can:

You shouldn’t have to do anything besides running the DirectVR scanner once you entered the game world (not in the menu).

Use the official profile with default settings. If you already tinkered with settings, restore the profile in the config app (trouble shooting page) or do a full factory reset.

I would recommend to set the Skyrim SE graphics details to medium for a decent performance/quality ratio.

For custom resolutions please check the ‘Custom Resolutions’ section in the help. Ideally add all resolutions listed there (except the wide ones for Pimax headsets).

You can restart the headset in the Oculus app: Settings > Beta. Your issues aren’t normal though, so you might also want to check for potentially interfering background programs. The trouble shooting guide in the help lists typical candidates.

Touch controllers work either as mouse/keyboard or as gamepad, no force feedback.

Just a heads-up that today’s hotfix 19.2.2.2 does not yet include the changes I talked about above. I’ll let you know here when re-saving/uploading profiles makes sense.

    19/08/01
    vorpX 19.2.2.2 has been released.

This hotfix addresses a semi-severe issue that caused visual glitches in several D3D11 games, e.g. broken shadows in Resident Evil 7.

Note to profile creators: the hotfix does not include the image zoom related changes I talked about here. These changes will be included in the next regular maintenance update. So don’t re-upload your profiles yet.

I have identified the actual issue in the meantime and will release a hotfix later today since it also may affect other games.
