The mod does not work with Cyberpunk 2.0/Phantom Liberty yet. Please check the instructions displayed when you launch the game (a good idea for a lot of other reasons too) or alternatively this post for more information.

Yes. But I don’t know yet how much work is involved.

In the best case only the CyberEngineTweaks modding framework has to be updated, which you can do yourself. Keep in mind that the CET dev(s) will need some time themselves after CP got updated.

In the worst case I have a lot of work ahead.

Both cases already occured when CP got updated in the past, so I can’t tell yet.

Hooking issues or launch crashes are typically caused by something running in the background that also hooks into games, especially in games as thoroughly tested and widely used as this one.

Try to disable *everything* you may have running in the backgorund. GPU/CPU tools, messengers, gaming/input related tools yout may have installed or that might have come with your PC etc. A lot of programs also hook into games and potentially cause a conflict. Last but not least antivirus programs if you happen to use anything else than the built-in Windows Defender.

The trouble shooting guide on top of this sub forum has more details on the matter.

Great video, I didn’t even know that Titanfall 2 had some kind of revival.

Can’t recommend this one enough. Great FullVR experience and just the right age to run well in VR without the need for an Uber-PC while still looking extremely good.

Aside from everything required to make the game run out of the box the profile also comes with two noteworthy advanced DirectVR features that weren’t mentioned specifically in the video:

    1. Automatic weapon hide to deal with the ‘face gun’ you often get when bringing first person games to VR: no running around with a weapon attached to your nose all the time. You might not even have known that you want something like that, but it makes a world of a difference when playing a game.
    2. Preconfigured motion controller gestures for aiming down sights etc. (requires the vorpX beta currently). I’m still surprised myself how close to native VR games like this can feel with just a few well chosen gestures, even seated.

Short auto weapon hide demo for those who never heard of it:

    @ loowee:

The most important change the official profile will bring is removing the manual setup steps that are required currently to get things working. Tinkering with settings or like in this case even .ini files is a huge hurdle for non-tinkerers who want things to just work, so that’s usually the most important thing that official profiles address or at least reduce as much as possible.

There is a tool that can circumvent EAC. I have forgotten its name and it probably won’t work on multiplayer games anyway, but that might be worth a shot. At least if you don’t mind the risk of potentially getting banned just for trying.

As little as possible. You definitely won’t have to care about field of view for example, which usually is biggest hurdle when it comes to setting up things for FullVR. Like many others the profile will come with routines that auto match game and headset FOV.

Looks like you had a typo in the mail address, the gmail error says vorpex.com, the correct domain is vorpx.com, without an e before the x.

I see. You may want to try a 16:10 res above 1440p for a Pimax headset. Might affect the field of view you have to set! That’s one of the things the user profile can’t do automatically, but the official one will. Keep in mind that the wider FOV will probably have an impact on performance.

You can already use a user profile. The official one will need less manual setup and come with additional features, but as far as I understand in general the user profile should work fine. Haven’t tried it yet though. Make sure to check the instructions that the profile author provided.

User profiles can be downloaded in the config app under ‘cloud profiles’.

There is no issue with the profile. I checked it when this post came up last month. Please check my reply above for what you can do.

Right. Release date is as always the good old ‘when it’s done’. Not because release-questions annoy me though. I’d have the same question on my mind in your place.

I simply had to postpone stuff too often in the early vorpX days. Better to keep quiet until I’m 100% certain. Less hectic releases for me, less disappointments due to missed deadlines for you guys.

In the same vein: please keep in mind that a number of sentences in my post(s) above related to advanced features started with “If things turn out like in older Bethesda RPGs…”. :)

If you either don’t overdo it with the 3D strength or don’t mind playing without shadows, G3D should be largely usable already in its current state. Although personally I’d consider that almost pointless in this particular case considering how well Z3D works here.

That said, I’ll revisit the game for sure, but for September Starfield and Cyberpunk 2.0 are priorities. All three games in their own way are dreams come true for most game loving chaps (including me), but as far as vorpX is concerned the first person titles have to come first.

    On a sidenote:

BG3 at first sight looks indeed like a great title for a third person FullVR game, but only until you start a fight. While exploring FullVR with head tracking would be awesome, combat however would be a pukefest par excellence due to the heavy game controlled camera movement. So switching to cinema/immersive screen whenever the game enters combat would be the only comfortable option anyway.
