If you did not get a mail from MyCommerce with a download link, your order almost certainly did not go through. You can verify that in your Paypal account.

If against the odds you were charged, please send your PayPal receipt to support at vorpx com and we will forward the matter to MyCommerce.

Reducing texture quality might be worth a shot, but a GTX970 is clearly at its limit either way with G3D in GTA5, so you probably won’t gain much.

vorpX forces the game to run windowed, the resolution shown in the options screen is bogus in that case.

DirectVR is a collection of multiple features that help to make games a better experience when you play them on the headset, it is not linked to the kind of stereo 3D that is available for a game. It can take care of resolution, FOV, settings-tweaks and head tracking. Which of these four potential DirectVR options are available varies from game to game.

Oculus Touch/Vive wands work with almost every game, that is unrelated to DirectVR. You can use the VR controllers to either emulate mouse and keyboard (freely configurable) or a gamepad.

Games that have all four potential DirectVR features are for example the ones below, a lot more have support for at least one of the potential DirectVR features.

Skyrim (original DX9 version is usually the better choice)
    Fallout 3
    Fallout New Vegas
    Fallout 4
    Portal
    Portal 2
    Far Cry 3
    Far Cry 4
    Far Cry Primal
    Left 4 Dead 2
    Mirror’s Edge
    Bioshock (DX9)
    Bioshock 2 (DX9)
    Bioshock Infinite
    Borderlands 2
    Borderlands Pre-Sequel
    Dishonored
    Deus Ex Human Revolutions
    Black Mesa Source
    Half-Life 2
    Half-Life 2 Episode 1
    Half-Life 2 Episode 2
    Aliens Colonial Marines
    Dear Esther (Source engine version)
    The Stanley Parable

If you have selected “Oculus Rift” as your headset type in the vorpX config app, Steam VR is not required.

No problem here (checked a minute ago). Please check for injection conflicts. virus scanners, GPU/CPU tools, messengers, desktop streaming/recording apps and generally everything that can show notification overlays in games are potential candidates.

Almost certainly an overzealous virus scanner that deleted the file. Please exclude the vorpX program folder from your AV scanner.

If you are on Windows 10, give Windows Defender a try. It come free with Windows 10 and provides good protection without being as invasive as some other scanners.

If vorpX can’t inject into multiple programs, there likely is an injection conflict with some other program on your PC.

Hottest candidates are: virus scanners, any sort of CPU/GPU utilities, game video recording/streaming software, chat programs and generally everything that can show notifictations in games.

Best way to trouble shoot this is to disable/uninstall programs running in the background.

In games with complete support for the new Direct VR settings optimization (GTA V included) FOV and resolution are both adjusted automatically when you switch between full VR and cinema/immersive screen mode, so you don’t have to do anything besides restarting the game to make sure all changed settings are applied.

Please make sure to run the Direct VR scanner after entering the game. Afterwards the gamepad will work natively even in games where normally the vorpX gamepad override is used. IIRC in FC4 the gamepad emulation should be off anyway per default, but I might be mistaken.

The VR controller button mapping can be changed freely in the vorpX ingame menu, the same is true for the gamepad emulation.

I updated the “Mass Effect Andromeda [vorpX]” cloud profile. Importing it should (hopefully) address the issue.

I didn’t test very long, but jumping back and forth between a few indoor/outdoor savegames worked fine for me with this updated profile where the old one didn’t. So there’s a good chance that it helps reliably.

Did you try cinema/immersive screen mode with the headtracking multiplier at 0.0? That should prevent any simulated mouse movement from head tracking.

Changing the gamepad settings in vorpX for GTA V is not really recommended. Unfortunately I can’t remember anymore why it was set up like it is, but what I do remember is that there was a good reason for that. The same applies to all games that have the gamepad emulation enabled per default: there usually is a reason for that.

Not sure why head tracking would be better with it off, have to check that.

    Iron sights:

If you use the gamepad override, you can freely change the button mapping in the vorpX menu, so you can map the iron sights keyboard shortcut to any button on the gamepad.

If you have the gamepad override disabled, a long press on the thumb stick initiates the original game action. You should see a message about that when you press the stick the first time. This can be also be configured in the vorpX menu.

After running the Direct VR scanner the gamepad works natively and the vorpX menu is auto-mapped to one of the thumb sticks.

Resolution: you can set the resolution in the vorpX menu (Direct VR page). For Fallout NV that should allow resolution higher than your monitor allows.

You can further enhance this functionality by adding custom resolutions to your graphics driver. Check the “Custom Resolutions” section in the vorpX help for further information. It explains which resolutions to add and how to do that.

While profile backwards compatibility isn’t 100% guaranteed, great care is taken to ensure it as much as possible. The older a profile is, the greater the chance that something doesn’t work as expected, but usually most things should.
