RalfKeymasterYou can change tracking sensitivity and axis direction on the head tracking page of the menu.
RalfKeymasterYou can find anything that I could reply to your question in the pinned trouble shooting post on top of this sub forum.
RalfKeymasterWhether you have access to the folder or not doesn’t matter.
If vorpX still doesn’t hook after creating a profile with the .exe assigned, the game is probably compiled as UWP (Universal Windows Platform) app. As mentioned above these apps run in a sandbox and can’t be hooked. That affects only a minority of MS/Game Pass games luckily.
RalfKeymasterThe default folder for Windows apps is C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. It’s hidden per default, so you have to enable ‘Show hidden files’ in the Explorer options. Caveat: It’s also access restricted to protect apps installed there. Whether you want to change that or not is up to you.
BTW: If you want to access the folder to add the .exe to a vorpX profile: that is not necessary. Instead simply use the ‘Add Process’ button in the config app while the game is running. Doing so opens a list of currently running processes, so you don’t have to browse to the file location at all to add it to a profile.
BTW2: Some Game Pass games aren’t hookable either way though since they might be compiled in a way that makes them run inside a sandbox. That only affects a minority of Game Pass games though. Not sure whether that’s the case for Crackdown 3 or not.
BTW3: For most Game Pass games you can select a different folder since quite a while, Microsoft at some point realized that many PC gamers expect their games to be moddable. Apparently that’s not the case for Crackdown 3 though.
RalfKeymasterYou should have received a profile database update a while ago, which in case of CP2077 comes with an updated hooking flag for 1.6+. If you didn’t get it for some reason (e.g. firewall blocking, profile updates disabled), you can download the profile manually from the cloud.
RalfKeymaster@ beemzy: You can backup/restore the .ini files, just not that the data file.
@ rift_un: Try to recall what changes you made to your system recently. If it worked before and now all of sudden doesn‘t, something must have changed. If in doubt, disable *every* *single* tool running in the background.
RalfKeymasterSettings are stored in the .ini files, DO NOT!!! (and I mean that, including the three exclamation marks :)) mix different versions of the mod’s data file. It doesn’t contain any settings, but vital data, which may change between versions.
RalfKeymasterTry OpenXR instead. Make sure that Oculus is set as your system‘s OpenXR runtime, not SteamVR. SteamVR has the unfortunate habit of trying to force itself as active OpenXR runtime, even for headsets that cam with native OpenXR support.
RalfKeymasterIf you close the menu with a gamepad or motion controllers they are supposed to be saved automatically on close. Please let me know if that doesn’t work.
With keyboard/mouse you have to use the OK&SAVE button instead of just closing the menu. Slightly inconsistent, but makes it easier to experiment with settings before submitting them for good.
RalfKeymasterYou can simply drag and drop individual profiles from the list to your desktop and back. BUT: for official profiles that only saves a (user settings) part of the profile (.vps), not the full profile (.vpp). While that is a highly useful feature in general since it allows to update the underlying profile independently from user settings, it gets in the way in this particular case unfortunately.
You can however make a backup of the whole database: C:\ProgramData\Animation Labs\vorpX\Profiles.vpd. Just be aware that overwriting the database with an older version (obviously) deletes any profile changes/updates since then. So always make sure that you can switch back to the newer one later when you replace the database with an older version.
RalfKeymasterShould work normally, but if it doesn’t for some reason you have several options:
- Try a different hotkey for the menu: config app > In-Game Key-Bindings.
- Use motion controllers: left grip (map shift) + right grip.
- Use a gamepad: right thumb button, or maybe left. I always forget which one ;)
RalfKeymasterThat’s extra weird. Just checked this on both 10 and 11 with that exact same definition version, but couldn’t replicate. Just a guess, but maybe you still had an older version of the definition files when the false positive detection occured and Windows updated it shortly after.
RalfKeymasterWhen you put a D3D override dll from a mod/hack in a game folder it almost certainly hooks into the same D3D functions as vorpX does. Sometimes that works without issues, but in other cases it may also cause havoc and break everything. Hence the warning message.
You can try the alternative hooking method in case of a such a conflict (config app > general page). No guarantee that improves anything, but with some luck it may. So it’s at least worth a shot.
RalfKeymasterJust a heads-up that the internal search function is available again.
RalfKeymasterAFR 3D is definitely not for everyone. The brain to a certain extent can get accustomed to receiving left/right images that don’t match in time, and the mod can trick away some of issues the method has. But when the left and right images become too different, e.g. with fast motion, AFR 3D will always be weird/uncomfortable.
Z3D doesn’t look as natural at close distance, but on the other hand doesn’t come with any timing related weirdness, so it’s always an alternative worth to consider.
