New problem. It turned out the real issue was that the Xbox Controller for the game wasn’t enabled in steam. Now everything is great except for the sticks are drifting like crazy. It doesn’t happen anywhere else and neither it does it when im in the Vorpx menu. Any way to adjust the dead zone?

    Hey,
I am playing Kingdom Come Deliverance with Vorpx and first off the bat let me say the program is amazing worth every penny.

The only issue I’m having is that when I put the motion controller to emulate an actual controller instead of the kb+m it just stops working. Headtracking is still fine and if I connect my actual ps controller that works too but the motion controllers of the quest 3 stops doing anything. It works fine when I emulate keyboard and mouse.
Any ideas what am I doing wrong?

I’m having an issue with the free standalone mod for cyberpunk 2077. When I boot the game with steam vr, I get the tutorial for the motion controls which I’m able to do, but as soon as it prompts me to press a button on my motion controls to exit the tutorial, it doesn’t respond, I have to press E on the keyboard. From that point, I have to use the keyboard and mouse, and while the camera does track my head motion, the game displays in a floating screen in front of me, even though I have theatre view disabled. I installed the mod onto a clean install of the game.

    Any suggestions?

    Good morning.

I need help with bioshock original version: in Windows 11 works ok, but with vorpx (v23 or the actual v24.1.0) the game crashes (closes itself, or the screen freezes with an image or blank screen):

    – When loading the saved game the screen freezes until I press ctrl alt supr: this, sometimes fixes the issue, but many others closes the game.

    – when loading a game most of the time closes the game, sometimes not.

    – after saving a game it crashes sometimes.

All this does not happen without vorpx.

I have tried different modes (full vr, cinema, etc.), with controller, with keyboard, using virtual desktop and vdxr, using oculus link, using steamvr, with or without head tracking… same result in all the cases.

Does vorpx gives official support ? I can offer any log and ini data as requested, thanks.

By the way, I am using an AMD Radeon Rx6700XT 12 GB and the Quest 2

Please… HELP ! (Like the Beatles album)

Well I wasn´t going to upgrade my G2, but it decided to die unexpectedly. First I looked at Crystal and Big Screen but both have downsides and are quite expensive units, then I thought about Quest3 and almost bought one. But finally I decided to get Pico 4, my thought process was that I needed something that was available immediately and its really cheap unit.

After few days of setting this thing up and testing it in various ways I am positively surprised how good it is. Compared to G2 the resolution is littlelower but the pancake lenses are far better than the fresnel lenses of reverb. I have only used the pico in wireless mode with my pc, its really nice being wire free even when gaming seated. Pico´s own streaming assistant didn´t work at all for me but with virtual desktop I was able to connect instantly. I still need to mess around with my routers and settings to get best possible wifi connection.

Downsides and upsides compared to Reverb G2 V1
    -Slightly lower resolution
-Built in audio isn´t great (I plan to use wired phones connected to pico)
-Stock facial interface isn´t that comfortable (I already printed new interfaces to fix this)

+pancake lenses offer much wider sweet spot and the image is clear to almost the edges of the screen
    +optional wireless mode
+stand alone mode (not sure that I will be using this much though)
+really cheap, I only paid little over 300€ for the 128GB model, that is almost half the price of quest 3)
+colour passthrough mode vs the black and white in G2 (resolution isn´t great but its enough that you can move around in your house without taking the headset off.
+headset/controller tracking is far better, I couldn´t really play beat saber with G2 controllers due to losing controller tracking.

i dont know what is your headset and how you connect to pc. but i use meta quest 2 and virtual desktop. so you can press two times fast oculus menu on your left controller then now you can see the desktop on your headset.

I had that issue a while back in Fallout 4 (mouse only accessing a smaller screen within the screen that we see).

Was caused and/or fixed by changing settings in the Nvidia control panel under “adjust desktop size and position”.

Try “restore settings” to default or changing “perform scaling on:” GPU / Display.
Some combination of those worked, might just need to restore it to default if it was changed.

    Hello everyone,

I am new on here and just began using the software a few days ago testing out just a few games just to see what the experience was like. I would like to say first off that my experience so far with older titles has been mind blowing. One thing I did want to point out though and this may be me just having to tinker with all settings.. I find myself trying to figure out the FOV settings and controller setups for each game. A few games in particular that worked flawlessly for me was Mirror’s Edge, Duke Nukem Forever, Dishonored. I pretty much just loaded up the game, went into the menu, hit direct vr scan and voila full vr was working as intended by the software.

Now the games I’ve been having issues with and this may be just be a me problem and not understanding which settings to adjust but I did try to adjust FOV for these game but it just didn’t come out quite right are Skyrim SE, Deus Ex Human Revolution(sorta already works with Direct VR).

Well, guess I’ll just answer to myself so that maybe it can be of use to someone other than me.

I found a workaround by not using VorpX and sideloading a free app on my Quest 2: Moonlight. Along with Sunshine on host PC, it allows local gamestreaming and supports controllers directly connected to the Quest 2 via bluetooth.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t support any kind of 3D streaming natively. There may be a way do that by adding another app on top of Sunshine. Seeing as I can’t find any information on how controller support works in VorpX and how to configure it, I’m going to head in that direction.

That’s a shame, I never got the Quest 2 controllers to work as a gamepad in any game I tried with VorpX. Should I just stop trying or is there something wrong on my end?

VORPX Install issue resolution: I was having an issue where VORPX setup simply would not launch. After hours of effort I have had success. WIN 11 Reputation-based protection was ON (needs to be OFF) and Controlled Folder Access was ON (needs to be OFF). Most user do not have this issue. CHEERS

    Hello everyone,

every works fine except one thing: Looking down unarmed.
When doing it, the vr view flickers and also it changes to poster view for a moment.
It happens with headtracking on/off and with vr-controller or normal controller/keyboard input.
But when holding a weapon (also melee) or with the opened options menu, the problem doesn’t occur.

What setting could be here the problem?(config below)
Bug or conflicts between headtracking and input?

I couldnt find any similar topic.
I appreciate the help and thanks to devs for this awesome mod!

    Hi all,

While trying to play Final Fantasy VII Remake with VorpX, I failed to get my Quest 2 controllers to work in gamepad mode. They’re completely unresponsive. Which is weird cause the game supports gamepads natively.

How does VorpX gamepad emulator work? Should it make my Quest 2 controllers work as an Xbox Series controller for example? They work when I set them in KB/M mode but you lose analogic joysticks and the controls feel really bad.

I would like to use my Quest 2 as a way to remote play from another room. Either in flatscreen mode or 3D. I tried connecting my Xbox Series X controller to my Quest via bluetooth. Connection is ok but gamepad is unresponsive while using VorpX.

To conclude, is there any way to reliably use VorpX as a way to remote play on my headset away from my computer, with no keyboard or mouse or gamepad, only Quest 2 controllers?

    Thank you for your help.

Cancel that: disabled fpsvr and advancedvr settings got the overlay menu to launch EXACTLY ONCE, so frustrating. Now the behavior is that “crtl-alt-shift to close this message” works; however all the menu key does is change the zoom level on the overlay pop-up messages. after the pop up messages fade the menu key is back to doing nothing . . . if the overlay is this bugged please just let us access it from the config menu instead! I want to play this game! Everything else is working great, but I need the overlay to turn off VR controllers so I can use my motion sim rig – also the trackIR functionality is too laggy and causes motion sickness, need to turn that off also. Thanks!

Huh? There are profiles for all Metro games except for the Exodus DX12 version, which for the most part was an nVidia marketing stunt with marginally improved lighting at the cost of performance anyway.

BTW1: All Metro proflies come with DirectVR (“in-engine”) head tracking, automated FOV setup and various VR related tweaks. Also games like these are perfect for motion controller gestures (requires vorpX 24.1.0). Good luck finding any of that that elsewhere.

BTW2: IIRC the original DX9 versions of the first two games also perform better than their DX11 counterparts, which obviously is highly important for VR. So whether the enhanced edition builds are the better choice is quite debatable.
