    That is possible, but not configurable via the UI. If you aren‘t afraid of editing an .ini manually, follow the steps below:

    1. Close vorpX and the config app if running.
    2. Browse to C:\ProgramData\Animation Labs\vorpX.
    3. Open vorpControl.ini with a text editor.
    4. Add a new line at the end of the [Exclude] section. If e.g. the last line reads sExcl150=Xbox.exe, your new line would look like sExcl151=PartialName. No wildcard char, just the partial name. Make sure to raise the number by one, that‘s important.
    5. Save the changed .ini and start vorpX

    I tried installing the beta but the vorpx service won’t start. The vorpx log contains the following:

    INF: VorpControl: Starting (32bit, version 23.1.0).
    INF: VorpControl: Starting elevated (32bit, version 23.1.0).
    INF: vorpControl: Processing cmd switch: -startService
    INF: WinHelper::ServiceStart: Service start pending…
    INF: WinHelper::ServiceStart: Service started successfully.
    ERR: PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

    I obviously don’t know that error means but fyi. Back to the old version.

    There are games like Space Engineers that have separate HUDs for keyboard/mouse and gamepads. And they switch automatically whenever one is touched. I’ve disabled head tracking and VR controllers. And when I use any key on gamepad, game switches to gamepad HUD only to switch back to keyboard/mouse HUD in a sec.

    I also tried the games normally without VorpX, and it behaves properly. So my question is what can I do to make sure game stays in gaempad mode with VorpX?

    I tested it only a few minutes, but in general it works. The engine is the same and both are dx12, the older control and quantum break profiles are in dx11, only. The Remastered is a port from the old dx11 engine to the newest dx12 engine.

    Sounds cool. You might be interested in the most recent vorpX beta though that adds the ability to use motion controller gestures:

    While VorpX does not add motion controls to games, I like playing my games while standing up. It helps with motion sickness and immersion (because my ingame character is probably also standing). Using the separated JoyCon controllers via Bluetooth, one in each hand, is even better than the Touch controllers that came with my Quest 3 for having a standard button layout and giving me free use of my hands. What do you guys think? I also wanted to say, I’m new to the community and VR in general and I look forward to chipping in. Hey guys!

    VorpX doesn’t seem to be launching games in my HTC Vive. When I launch a game, I can see that VorpX is attaching to the .exe but once the game launches, my monitor gets a black screen saying “Out of Range”. I can still hear the game audio but there’s no game running in my Vive headset. If I alt tab from the black screen on my desktop, it will alt tab to the game in windowed mode. I can hear the games audio throughout the whole process.

    I’ve tried running VorpX in admin controlled mode, disabled SteamVR Theater mode both in steam settings and for individual game settings but have h ad no success. Would anybody happen to have a solution to this issue?

    Games I’ve tested with: Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village.

    Hope someone can help, thanks!

    Thanks for the reply Ralf, I’ll definitely try that. Now that you mention it – I played Hitman in VR in the past, using both VD and Airlink and I remember that the controls were different in each one, even though I never changed anything, so I think that using Airlink may resolve the issue.

    Hi guys.

    I’m trying to play Titalfall 2 and I’ve managed to get it up and running and looking pretty good. Problem however is that I use an Xbox controller and the key bindings are all messed up. For example, in game, it tells be that the B button is for crouching but when I press it, I melee attack.

    I’m using a Quest 3 via Virtual Desktop and Steam on Windows 11. I have switched my Quest controllers off completely in the vorpX menu. If I play the game flatscreen, the controls do as intended. It only gets screwy once I play it through vorpX. I haven’t encountered this issue before with other games I have played with vorpX so I was wondering how I could go about fixing this.

    Tempering with cars camera views is not that good of an idea, because it can be part of the gameplay. In PL there’s a missions thread called “I’ve seen that face before” where you need to hack a car and take control of it from the trunk. You need to drive using the cars cameras but Vorpx forces the view back to the trunk, making the mission unplayable and I had to make that part in flat mode 🤷‍♂️

    Am I doing something wrong? I installed Vorpx VR for Cyberpunk and selected middle option for Quest 3 in Configure CyberpunkVR. My Quest 3 is connected through link, Oculus app is running and shows headset and controller as connected. When I run CP2077 I get a message

    No Oculus/Meta headset found. vorpX will not work correctly. If you have a Quest headset, make sure Quest Link is enabled on your Quest
    If you don’t have an Oculus/Meta headset, please select the right headset type in the vorpX config app.

    I’ll try the OpenXR, but this appropriate version doesn’t seem to work?

    Hi Ralf, as well as the on-screen markers glitch, one more thing I have noticed is that after I have activated the VorpX menu (by pressing the left and right grip buttons) I can no longer navigate the VorpX menus using the motion controllers as I could before. Now I seem to have to use the mouse (unless I have inadvertently messed up some setting?)

    Im running the Cyberpunk VR mod, I have a quest 2 and ive tried with Virtual Desktop (My preferred method) and Air link and neither are working for me. When I load up the game everything seems fine I can look at the VorpX tutorial screen thing and move to the end. When I acually get into the game menu, none of my controller inputs work except bringing up the VorpX menu. So then I use my acual keyboard to press space and my mouse to get into the game then when im in game the controllers still dont work. I can look around in my headset and I can see my controllers in game but I cannot move, shoot, jump, or get any gestures to work in game. They all see to work in the tutorial screen at the start. But in game nothing please help!
