Yes please! I just purchased VorpX specifically with the hopes of playing this game in G3D on my Index. I haven’t used VorpX before and now I’m trying to learn the whole program from the ground up just to play this game. Anyone that can help, please do!
I believe the engine is Unreal 4. I saw in a YT video to try using Jedi Fallen order or Abzu when creating a new profile. But no matter what I’ve tried I can’t even get it to hook. If anyone could help out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. <3
And by the way this game is pure art, it’s so amazingly gorgeous to look at and is atmospheric as HELL – it would be such an incredible experience in VR! You should check it out if you like HR Giger, atmospheric dark fantasy, Myst-like environmental puzzles, and ambient music. Help me live my fantasy of being on an alien planet in VR :D
I’ve tried with dark forces 2, no results
Good news is Scorn is UE4, yay!
Bad news is Scorn is DX12, aww!
Good news is Scorn launches dx11 with -dx11 launch parameter, yay!
Bad news Scorn in DX11 looks very different and much darker, like its broken, aww!
Good news is Vorpx hooks to DX12 mode with cyberpunk profile, yay!
Bad news is there is no 3D, aww!
Good news is there is 3D in DX11 mode with some UE4 profiles (Artful Escape), yay!
Bad news is Scorn looks like its not supposed to run DX11 and shadows are weird, aww!
There is a source port for it (OpenGl rather than DirectX 5):
https://github.com/jdmclark/jkgfxmod/
more info:
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Jedi_Knight_-_Dark_Forces_II
then try source profile (black mesa / hl2 etc)
I have not tried this, just posting a possible solution for you
i want to play in 3d dark forces 2, (jedi knight 1), i put dgvoodoo2 into the game, dark forces 2 start with directx11, but in vorpx there is no 3d effect (in menu there is g3d and z-normal, but without 3d effect)
there is a dgvoodoo2 profile on vorpx: i’ve applied dgvoodoo to dark forces 2, vorpx starts, there are z-normal e g3d options, but no 3d effect
what can i do?
please help me
For me an option like this would be cool not only for the first person method, but also for improving the game experience in general. The issue I have with multiple 3rd person games like Nioh or Dark Souls, is that the camera is often too far away from the character, which is simply less immersive for me.
I would like to fix Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 for VorpX. Neither GOG nor Steam Clearly indicates wherether the games are using DX11 or OpenGL renderers. PCGW says Opengl, but thats not always true.
I’d be enlighted if anyone could give me a hint on that. Thanks !
Hello there
I got a question about the game Enlisted. Enlisted is the free squad-based (MMO) first-person shooter game based around major World War II battles, developed by Darkflow Software and published by Gaijin Entertainment. The graphics are good and the controlling is very easy with mouse and keyboard. One of the best function in this game is that you can look around with your head using the „c“ key will runnig or flying .So you have a field of view 180° by pressing the „c“ key.
My question is now: Is there a chance that i can use my vr headset (oculus quest 2) for watching around while i am using my mouse and keyboard ? What do I have to consider or are there already specific apps for this because i dont saw the game on liste of your website
PS: Sry for my bad english if somebody don’t understand me just ask me where you cant follow me.
For vorpx only I’d recommend reverb. I have index and quest and its really hard to chose between resolution and quality – no matter what GPU you have quest even set on top quality with a cable will have the feel of compressed video – here and there there will be compression artifacts hidden in dark corners, some textures smeared into single color, overall image quality being a bit blurry even with sharpening.
This especially matets if you try to play a heavy modern game using Z3d and compression eats small objects like rain or pixel thin bullets or whatever too.
I do enjoy higher resolution of quest and compression isnt game breaking, but if index screens had quest resolution I wouldnt even think twice, but even with inferior pixels I chose index for number of games just to get sharper image and better 3d feel.
Oh and more juice you try to squeeze out of quest more chances image quality will degrade even further, like if you set supersampling to best it can do and 120hz you wont just get a bit of stuttering in games, compression artifacts will become worse too.
Considering HP device has higher resolution than index and you plan to only use vorpx I’d say there is no reason to chose quest apart from price or potential to play wireless.
Hey guys, sorry if this issue is as incredibly noob as it feels, but I can’t seem to find the answer on the old ME threads on these forums and I’m a complete newcomer to VorpX settings (and PCs, honestly) so not only don’t know *what* I need to change, I don’t know *where* the settings are (or if the term I should be using while asking is colour, or lighting, or saturation, or…)
Basically, I’m launching the Mass Effect Legendary Edition and finding that once my headset (Oculus Quest 2) switches from showing what’s on the desktop, to running with VorpX in ‘immersive screen mode’, the colour and the lighting of the game completely blow out. I mean, Mass Effect games love their lens flares at the best of times, but this is next level: I take my headset off and look at what my monitor is showing and it’s all muted colour palettes and shadows with spots of light, and then I look back through my headset and the humans’ skin looks dark orange while the Asari are shining such a bright neon blue you can’t see where the edges of their models intersect with the white walls behind them. It runs wonderfully smooth, everything’s scaled correctly and the 3D effects look great, but the colours are just so blown out it almost hurts. It’s happening across each of the games, too.
Since the Oculus is showing the ME:LE launch menu with a pretty direct 1:1 replication of what the monitor is showing in terms of colour, quality and lighting, I assume this means something’s going on from the VorpX side – but it seems no matter what settings I fiddle with in the in-game VorpX menu, it doesn’t resolve the issue.
Has anyone come across a similar issue, or can point me to the settings I should be fixing up? Is this a resolution issue (there’s no blurriness or stretchiness, just the colour/lighting being off, but I’m not tech savvy enough to know if it’s related), is it something else, or is it just the way that these games port to 3D?
Appreciate any help.
I did not I’ve shader issues with text and odd colours rendering in one eye
But I am sure it’s fixable with the shader Authoring tool….just time consuming,
I never understood how to use it, I have that issue on many games where there is incorrect renderings on one eye and I never understood how to fix them
I’ve read the instructions in the forum but still I do not understand it properly how to fix those cases, for example the most common is seeing black parts rendered on one eye
I can remember the Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance new game with this problem at some levels
Hi,
I’ve adujusted the vorpx hud scale option much lower so I can see everything without needing to use edge peek however it now leaves a darker box with the hud scale visible is there anyway to make the darker box invisible/transparent? I’ve already tried setting the alpha of the arma 3 background to 0 but that doesn’t seem to affect it so I believe it may be a VorpX box rather than one relating to arma itself.
You can temporarily disable/enable the mod by moving vpxCP2077.asi from [CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins to your desktop and back.
As far as the issue is concerned:
First and foremost: please try without any changes in the mod settings aside from potentially changing the resolution. There is no need to tinker with settings, the mod works as intended without any changes in the settings menu.
That aside:
If that doesn’t help, it would be great if for testing purposes you could start a new game with no other mod installed than the VR mod and check whether the issue also occurs with that new game, especially if you had other mods installed before, Most importantly: please let me know whether that helps or not.
I’m totally in the dark as far as this issue is concerned and unfortunately haven’t gotten any feedback in that respect so far. Since the issue popped up out of the blue after the 1.5 patch without any actual changes to the mod aside from some gesture related fixes, it’s possible that the issue isn’t actually triggered by the mod, but by a corrupted savegame, e.g. from some pre 1.5 mod that stored settings in the savegame that the patch 1.5 doesn’t like.
Long story short: To help you I need your help.
Method 1
1. use cloud profile Final Fantasy REMAKE G3D (DX11) [Picdelag]
2. in epic games store click your profile icon in the top right, click settings
3. scroll down to “Manage Games”
4. Click Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
5. Check Additional Command Line Arguments
6. type in -dx11
7. make sure you have the 3d turned off until after you load your game
or
Method 2
1. Wait to see if Ralf hopefully makes a profile that also removes the weird dark blotches during cutscenes
2. Thank him and play
