I use Cyberpunk 2077 profile. With Metro Exodus profile, it seems only possible to launch the game if it’s set on DirectX 11.

I could try. There is no Windowed mode in Metro Exodus but I can try to re-edit the cfg file (I tried one time but it was a mess, maybe there is no option in menu because it doesn’t work well). But given there wont be any real screen this time maybe it would have a different behaviour.

Anyway, with a real screen it’s possible to change the resolution and aspect ratio of the game, so maybe it will be a useful information if it’s a bug.

    Hi,

if I launch Metro Exodus with local profile and DX11, the game is in G3D, but I can’t get the menu with the shortcut I defined.

It works in DX12 with Cyberpunk 2077 profile without any 3D at all (can’t even get Z3D).

I would like to have the menu to set zoom value, etc.

I don’t get Z3D in Metro Exodus with DX12 (I have to rename the exe to launch with DX12). Raytracing works well, even without DLSS.

Hi, I use the Beta, and I launched the Desktop Viewer in order to have higher resolution than my screen.

I also launched Metro Exodus but it appeard in a little screen on the left. I can’t do anything. My Reverb G2 controler don’t work (I usually don’t use controllers with VorpX anyway).

Try other DX12 game profiles as a base. That’s really the only tip I can give you. With some luck there is one that provides basic Z3D without any extras.

There is a perfectly working Metro Exodus profile with multiple features that couldn’t even be added for the enhanced edition currently. Neither marginally better RTX effects nor PS5 haptic triggers justify neglecting other things for a second (inferior) Metro Exodus profile, sorry.

I understand that you *really* want the enhanced edition, so just in case you overlooked the above reply:

There isn’t really any benefit in switching to the enhanced edition just for the sake of its marginally better RTX effects, especially considering how great the original version already looks. The regular Metro Exodus profile supports both G3D and various advanced DirectVR features that you couldn’t even add to your own custom profile if you wanted to invest the time and effort required for that. As far as vorpX is concerned the enhanced edition is pretty much a ‘dehanced’ edition. ;)

thanks for your reply Luka. I am happy with Z Adaptive, but firstly it needs to hook on the Enhanced Version which it does not. There is a profile online but not working.

I repeat, The only way for hooking this game are change executible from metroexodus.exe
To metroexodus1.exe, that add The file name on copy of cyberpunk profile

I asked ralf several times. doesn’t want to, to avoid problems with profiles for less experienced users. the solution that I recommended is to rename the executable. for example metroexodus.exe I changed it to metroexodus1.exe . the problem remains when you have to use the mods.

I have used it in the past but I have tried with several games that have profiles I see players using on Youtube and it just won’t attach. Dying Light 2,Metro Exodus, ect. Any Ideas? I can’t get the logo to appear on the screen. I have shut down everything I can think of including Windows defender, my antivirus, MSI afterburner, ect. I have run it in every sequence I can think of. Hours of trial and error. I have Win 11,RTX 3080,Ryzen 9 5900.16 ram and Quest 2. Using Air link, link cable and Virtual desktop. I have used Vorpx a few years ago and know how to use it. Just won’t work. I have tried all the tips in troubleshooting section both in and out of Vorpx site and Reddit and searching in browser. Configuring Vorpx in the settings in every combo I can think of. {Set for Steam VR,oculus, ect.} I can sometimes get the game to show up in the headset in Virtual theater mode, sometimes but sometimes just blackness. I have no trouble playing any other vr games including some using vr mods {RE7, Luke Ross, ect} Any thoughts would be much appreciated… thx

I perfectly understand the wish to do that, unfortunately it would basically break the automated profile update system. Imagine you had overwritten a profile and then due to a game update changes are made to the official profile you did overwrite. You’d never become aware of the updated profile and instead would be stuck with the other one. In a nutshell: I have to weigh complete tinkering freedom against breaking vital functionality here.

In 90% of the potential cases you can rename the .exe of a game if for some reason you want to use a non-official profile for a game that has already an official profile assigned. That rarely makes much sense anyway though.

In the particular case of Metro Exodus for example there isn’t really any benefit in switching to the enhanced edition just for the sake of its marginally better RTX effects, especially considering how great the original version already looks. The regular Metro Exodus profile supports both G3D and various advanced DirectVR features that you couldn’t even add to your own custom profile if you wanted to invest the time and effort required for that. Hi Ralf. Sorry if I write under this post, I had opened a dedicated one but you probably haven’t seen it. with the new version of vorpx, would it be possible, perhaps with the same system of the authority code, to unlock the predefined profiles? I intend to remove or modify the associated executable. for example in order to start metro exodus enchanted edition in dx12 I have to modify the executable, as metroexodus.exe is in the default profile of metro exodus. I hope I have explained myself and have an answer about it. thank you
