Hi,
In Resident Evil 7 the shadows appears to be broken with this new release of vorpx with nvidia Geforce 1070 GTX and the 430.86 driver.
A little warning for anyone eagerly waiting for the additional profiles to be announced: unfortunately a whopping six out of six games that were looked into over the last days (Resident Evil 2, A Plague Tale, Mortal Kombat 11, Far Cry: New Dawn, The Witness, Blood: Fresh Supply) exhibited major issues in G3D mode that will at least require additional programming work to resolve.
Since code changes were out of the question so shortly before release I decided to not include them for now. I’ll see what can be done after the update. Some profiles will at least come as Z3D only later if there is no way to get G3D working well enough.
Hi Ralf,
Haven’t tried all of this myself due to lack of time, but it might be useful.
If You Have an Nvidia Card, You Can Play Resident Evil 2, Battlefield V, etc in Glorious Full 3D!

Obviously the part of the virtual desktop in Oculus is not relevant for vorpx, but particularly interested on the 3D vision, and the mod/fix to get 3D in SBS (not native but at least is something).

In fact, If I recall correctly from my tests. The 3D in vorpx was fully broken, as you have 2 different things in each lens (like the 3D wasn’t working). So, it might a solution.
Resident Evil 5 (G3D)
– Use DX9 executable only
– Impressing graphics
– Great S3D in all Modes (Cinema is default)
– Full VR with headtracking (recommended)
– Profile available at the cloud

Using the profile I uploaded on the vorpx cloud and that we mentioned here
Resident Evil 2 Remake
also the 1st person mod starts in pimax using vorpx
Re 2 – revive (1st person mode in pimax using vorpx)
The xbox controller(wired) seems to work fine except for the left trigger. The left trigger (right click mouse) is to draw your weapon. It does draw the weapon but goes back and forth as if I’m letting go and repressing the button even though I’m holding the trigger. Outside of vorpx the controller works without issue in this game.
I then tried changing the controller from ‘full’ to ‘partial’ and ‘none’. Both partial and none solve the problem, but both introduce a new problem. If I am walking forward and look in any direction, the axis become flipped. So up is down, down is up. As soon as I stop walking, looking around behaves as normal.
I tried binding draw weapon to a new button in game, mapping right click button to a different key and changed it accordingly in vorpx, but the repressing issue remained.
I also tried the button press threshold (default 30) tried 0 to 100 but didn’t solve the issue.
A separate issue I have is I use adaptive 3d instead of geometry for performance issues. With adaptive 3d, tilting my head left or right tilts the whole world along with me, when it should stay level. Not sure if other games have this issue. This issue doesn’t happen in geometry mode.
Maybe using one of the resident evil 7 biohazard ‘s profile for vorpx would work for this new resident evil 2 for giving it some Z3D/GD3 aspect ?

man, this is the first thing everyone here tried first. didnt work.
If I knew what everyone did I would not have said it out loud.
But overall , was everyone else be able to start the game in the headset without Z3D/GD3 support?
I dont own a Primax and maybe that’s different, but, with the RE7 profile you can start the game in the headset without Z3D/G3D. My additional problem on the headset is the problem that I have in one eye more images than the other (it might be missing a car for example, but is showing the fog in the end).
So, for example for me, the image above is showing one eye. I would want to know if in both eyes have the same images.
From my point of view, the RE7 profile is broken for RE2 and not reusable and needs something from scratch.

Hello, I would like to express a concern and technical doubt that I have had for some time with this title.
Resident Evil 7 PC, does not have good support for resolutions with narrow ratio aspect, so it introduces some black bands.
The resolution suggested by Vorpx, can help, along with some option to mask a bit this, but logically it is not the most ideal, if we had other possibilities.
Taking into account the screens of our current headsets, this for me, is one of the main reasons that slow down and hinder an almost perfect complete fullVR support with Vorpx, since in turn they indirectly affect others, which otherwise could show an experience more similar to PSVR RE7.
While today I was looking at a trainer tool for this game, I noticed that besides modifying the field of vision, it included another section to change aspect ratio, but I do not understand it very well.
My question is, if using this tool or some other way … would it be possible to modify aspect ratio for RE7, and obtain an image with 5: 4 or 3: 4 format without black bands?
I think it would improve completely and could lead to one of the best games to play with Vorpx within the category (1st person fullVR).
Is there any way to approach the issue of aspect ratio with some modern games like this case?Or could it be implemented in Vorpx for these situations?
I’m waiting for a profile for the resident evil 2 remake. Please add G3D to this game.
Haven’t posted in awhile just wanted to say I too hope for 3d support for this game. Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 are my favorite Vorpx games. Hope to play this with it as well.
Thanks, I sorted Resident Evil 7 and had to get the 3d image scale to 0000 and the silhouette hand dissapeared but it plays with big borders on top and bottom same as Grid and not sure if they can be played in full screen or how.
This isn’t an easy pick up and play app and probably take me a while to set it up to play some games but once I get the hang of it I’m sure it’ll be okay, one of the reasons I got this was because it said Resident Evil 7 was playable and it was either the Rift or PSVR so I opted for the Rift as I thought this would be like TrinusVR I used on my GearVR but it’s a bit cumbersome.
I bought this Vorpx yesterday and can’t seem to make it work properly, of the 3 games I’ve tried I haven’t come up with great results.
I tried Grid and it looked like a cinema screen in front of me and Resident Evil 7 looks like there is a hand in front of me and a silhouette of a cut out hand next to it and I also tried Battlefront V from a profile I found on Cloud and I started Battlefront V and the game wouldn’t load properly and just crashed and I also tried what was suggested of using the Battlefield 1 profile and still it crashed and went back to the Oculus menu screen.
Is there something I’m doing wrong because right now the experience I’m having with this app really isn’t justifying the price I paid for it, if there are other settings I’m not using they don’t seem to be listed anywhere like a compatibility help topic for every game and the settings you should use, I have used search in topics but the information given was for Resident Evil 7 which a user said usedcamera ht modifier to hide the hideous gun aiming hands and I’ve no idea what that even means and also another user saying that you boot the game, open the in-game VorpX setttings, and click on the DirectVR option and I checked and there is no DirectVR option to click on in the Vorpx menu.
Also suggested by another user to try the Battlefield 1 profile for Battlefield V and that didn’t work either.
I’m lost here and thinking that I’ve really wasted my money.
