Hello everybody. I managed to start Resident evil 8 village demo with cyberpunk 2077 profile. Unfortunately it doesn’t have g3d but only z adaptive. if someone could get it started with g3d or another profile that works better, write it to me and upload the profile to the cloud

Hi guys , i am new to vorpx and i am struggling to understand some stuff

*i run the games using steam vr option not quest

1- i tried Resident evil 7 , the image quality is so so bad its not even acceptable to play at , cant even read texts . and i can see black borders , and it feels like just the image is following my head and not like i am in the game .

2- when i tried Black ops 3 , the aim is following the headset so i want apple to use the mouse and headset aim at the same time . how can i fix this ?

3- i cant run my quest 2 wireless using virtual desktop , i keep getting quest is not found message when i open any game

Idk if vorpx is just bad like this or i am using it wrong ?

Well. The point is that I have almost perfect CPU + GPU and I am just able to play at 720p using geometric on 3rd person games.

I have tried FFXV , I got 60fps at 720p. Therefore unplayable. I do not know which other 3rd person game I can try.

So is something wrong or G3D just supposed to work with very very few games or just first person games?

Comparing FFXV and RE2 , resident evil 7 runs with amazing perfomance.

Also returning my 5800X is pointless… I did not get better perfomance. Maybe just a bit (10% more resolution maybe?) but as I said, is not like I could play those games better using G3D with this new cpu.

    Hi.
I am grateful with the program, Z or normal buffer have good perfomance.
However, 3D Geometric is the one I love and I want to use. But it seems to be locked, unable to offer perfomance enough, no matter how powerful the PC is.

    I thought I needed more power from a 2070 super so I bought a 3080.
I asked you why I did not get better perfomance after this upgrade. You said is because its needs cpu more than GPU, rather single core perfomance than multicore. So you “made” me upgrade from ryzen 3600 to 5800X, whih is more powerful at single/multicore and cost double the price.

The result is I get the same performance as 5800x + 3080 as 3600 + 2070S. So the upgrade was pointless. And basically I reach the point that I cannot have much better components.

Therefore 3D Geometric perfomance is on the developer side more than the components side. There is no way to increase the performance as far as I know and I consider is too low.

As I said on previous post, these are the results. Even after the upgrade, nothing changed, which is dissapointing.

    Resident evil 2 – 960p – MSAA – everything as minimal/OFF except textures/mesh (high) – unstable 90fps. 720p – almost stable 90fps.

Resident evil 7 MSAA – everything minimal/off -except textures/mesh (high)
1080 – stable 90 fps. 2K – almost stable 90 fps. On the garden the performance drops to 60fps-70fps.

Much better performance on RE7, maybe because as first person there are less objects on the FOV, but still not good taking in mind the upgade did not have any impact on the perfomance.

In Task Manager, I Ended Task on Windows Defender, some Nvidia stuff, and a Logitec app for my mouse. The rest was Windows 10 system, Steam, or vorpx stuff. But FOV scan still fails for all my games.

I did try to fix Bioshock Infinite and Halo 4 manually, but (and I know I probably sound dumb), I can’t find 3D FOV Enhancement in the in game vorpx menu. Am I crazy, or is the setting missing in these games in geometry mode? Or do I have to turn off Direct VR memory mode for it to appear?

P.S. Three weeks ago, I was able to do it all manually for Resident Evil 3 2020, but it may have been partly the First Person Mod.

    Hey everyone,

So made a thread earlier in 2020 when lockdown started happening trying to get ideas for good games to play via Vorpx during the last year and wanted to make a new recommendation thread, if anyone was interested in posting their best Vorpx experiences.

My last thread I mentioned my favorite, before 2020, being modded 1st person Sekiro, 1st person Dark Souls 3, 1st Person Mass Effect Andromeda

So I didnt get to do as much Vorpx gaming in 2020 as I would have liked, but I would like to point out some great experiences I had in Vorpx in 2020

    So for new recommendations:

Resident Evil 7 – even with Z-Adaptive, not Geo3d. There were some issues with gun ghosting and shadows in Geo 3d for me, but Z-Adaptive didnt have those at all.

Seriously – if you were kinda bored with RE, I was too, but… this game is just a goddamn treasure and should be experienced by -ANYONE- with Vorpx. You can find it for like 8 bucks on Keys sites.

Metro Exodus was pretty fantastic as well, was happy with the direction that game took with the open world FPS design and surprised me with how well it ran in Vorpx.

Titanfall 2 – Ran incredibly smooth and just a great campaign in VR

On a more difficult recommendation, got Dark souls 2 to work in 1st person VR with Cheat Engine. That was a fun one, you could find the instructions online if you wanted to – but Id Recommend Sekiro or Dark Souls 3 before it, much easier to get up and running.

So anyone have any games they thought were particularly good to experience they want to point out in the last few months/year?

Thanks for your time and take care

You can use menu/select instead of the thumbstick buttons (Input page of the vorpX menu).

I tried this in Resident Evil 7. The left thumbstick still brings up edge peak even tho i have selected menu/select instead.

    Hello.
I have notebook MSI i-79750H CPU 2.60 GHz, Nvidia 2070, 17,3” LCD (FHD) 16:9. VR set- WMR Samsung odyssey2. In Vorpx menu dont have 3d Reconstructions – Geometry and another.
I can’t get rid of black lines like in a movie theater. Use 1920/1080 resolution

Using the first person mod (and the no zoom when aiming mod), I got the game looking great in Geometry Full VR mode. Unfortunately my 1080 GPU falls short the minute I exit the subway to topside. But as soon as I get a hold of a 3080, I’ll be playing.

I had samsung odyssey + and I was playing Resident evil 7 as FULL VR 3D. Also RE 7 Demo (is diffferent history) as FULL VR 3D. Also resident evil 2 as 3D conversion.

None of these are working now.

    RE 7 – closes window
RE 7 – alternative method checkbox. closes
RE 7 – “Try to block know games overlays” checkbox unchecked. As cinema without 3D and without vorpX menu so I cannot change anything.
RE 7 Demo – as cinema with vorpX but does not allow to enable 3D so FULL VR is not 3D.

    RE 2 – attaching….but does not attach
RE 2 – alternative . as cinema without vorpX menu, cannot convert to 3D.

I have tried hooking Vorpx to Resident Evil 7, but so far I have not succeeded and I have been trying for two days, it just shows me the game launching black screen then the “ataching re7.exe” icon appears and it closes the game almost instantly.

Ive killed all the non-fundamental processes in the background, I have disabled the intel graphics chipset in the BIOS options because for some reason I had it always on, I have run the game in windowed mode and enabled / disabled the boxes of the general Vorpx settings, I have deleted the file “re7_config.ini” to make the hook again, I have restarted the pc and some other alternatives that unfortunately I don’t remember right now, the strange thing is that it has worked for me in Resident Evil 3 Remake / Direct X 11 including the first person mod and with Alan Wake / Direct X 9 and have worked without problems. Any help would be appreciated please, it makes me very sad that I can’t play these games.

No matter what i do, I can’t get RE7 to hook properly on my rift. I’ve tried running vorpx as administrator, the game as adminstrator, both of them as admin, and tried using the alternative hooking method, but every time it just says “Oculus runtime init failed” and launches on my screen (with vorpx) but not in my headset at all.
Vorpx works fine in all other games.

It does work when I set it to steamVR, but it stutters like crazy on that (more than i would expect from my specs).
    My specs:
    1080 (8GB amp extreme edtion)
    i9-10900k
    32 GB ram

    Any ideas?

    Hi!

Sorry to bother… I’m a new user, bought Vorpx recently. Re7 works almost great without making changes. However, some 3D objects are invisible. Examples are: The pot lit in the first videotape memory, some walls in the attic, hair in almost all characters except for Mia.
I read in the forums that the glow in the gun and knife were kept so that this objects could be seen but I cannot see them lol. Is it only me? From what I read, hair and objects not showing were supposedly fixed already. Suggestions?
    Thanks in advance!

I haven’t logged onto the game in like forever, but I got on and verified that the Z3D is working. No G3D and the z-adaptive is weak if it even works. You may have better results with a different dx9 profile – Unreal Engine 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect 3, Resident Evil 4 – lot of them to try out. The z-normal with Dragon’s Dogma looked pretty good in the brief moments that I logged in though, so if you’re happy with that then I wouldn’t bother.
