    Topic: Please help

I bought this Vorpx yesterday and can’t seem to make it work properly, of the 3 games I’ve tried I haven’t come up with great results.
I tried Grid and it looked like a cinema screen in front of me and Resident Evil 7 looks like there is a hand in front of me and a silhouette of a cut out hand next to it and I also tried Battlefront V from a profile I found on Cloud and I started Battlefront V and the game wouldn’t load properly and just crashed and I also tried what was suggested of using the Battlefield 1 profile and still it crashed and went back to the Oculus menu screen.
Is there something I’m doing wrong because right now the experience I’m having with this app really isn’t justifying the price I paid for it, if there are other settings I’m not using they don’t seem to be listed anywhere like a compatibility help topic for every game and the settings you should use, I have used search in topics but the information given was for Resident Evil 7 which a user said usedcamera ht modifier to hide the hideous gun aiming hands and I’ve no idea what that even means and also another user saying that you boot the game, open the in-game VorpX setttings, and click on the DirectVR option and I checked and there is no DirectVR option to click on in the Vorpx menu.
Also suggested by another user to try the Battlefield 1 profile for Battlefield V and that didn’t work either.
I’m lost here and thinking that I’ve really wasted my money.

My experience with the profile of FALLOUT 4 the truth was very good, that if I asked a lot of gpu, is the only problem that I see VORPX, I played with a PIMAX 4k and a very good experience. Now I have a Samsung Odyssey and at least Resident evil 7 I have not been able to have a good experience, I hope that the profile developed for the FALLOUT 76 is at least as good as the profile of 4, that would be very good for VORPX, It would attract many users.

So in resident evil 7 I use 2d edge peek to view objects of interest. I’ve usedcamera ht modifier to hide the hideous gun aiming hands which look totally weird like hole punched or something weird. The issue is using edge peek the camera ht modifiers are still in effect and it makes it impossible to see normal things. I’d like an option to keep edge peek a truthful view of the regular game. Possible?
    Thanks

    hi.
i have noticed that the WMR lenses distort the image and produces sickness when vr mode is enable however i have check that this issue is not as noticeable with the oculus rift on the same computer, the vr camera works ok, with no distorion.

i deduce thats is a lens distorion diferences betwen plataforms

for example resident evil 7 looks great on oculus but is unplayable on lenovo explorer due to de distortion that prduces when you look arround.

is there any way to adapt the lens distortion to avoid this kind of issue.

please forgive my bad english and thanks in advance.

It’s now 50% sale. If it works on VorpX well, then I’m going to buy it.

My expectation for implementation of the game is as much as Resident Evil 7 level.

natural 3D effect and full position tracking.

If it support Direct VR, It would be much better.

    How is it?

how does re7 work and what do you do to change anything or what is needed? Re7 vr much needed. ps4 only.

Resident Evil 7 should already work. Like all games with DirectVR support, you boot the game, open the in-game VorpX setttings, and click on the DirectVR option. It should automatically fix the FOV. If the FOV isn’t perfect, that means the developers put a lock on it, and you need a small mod/hack. I’m not home right now, so if activating DirectVR at game startup doesn’t resolve it, let me know.

Hej, today i tryed alien isolation and it works without changing anything in vorpx so i guess its something else. No i dont have reshade, althought its a lite weird because when i use a sortcut for alien isolation it doesnt work but when i press play within steam it does work, the other games just start ignoring vorpx and steam’s desktop game theatre(i’ve tryed both check and uncheck steam’s desktop game theatre). I would apriciate any help becouse the reson i bought vorpx was resident evil 7 i dont really care for other games

I’ve waited over a year for Capcom to add vr support to the pc version, and it looks like that isn’t coming. I’ve played a bit in december in vorpx and it is ok, but I thought I’d wait for full support, now that I see that is probably not coming I was going to try vorpx again.

However, I’d be willing to wait longer if it would get full direct vr support (position, rotation, fov). Is there any chance of this? Not sure if the engine lends itself to this being easier than other games (maybe because the engine does support vr?) but I thought I’d ask.

If this was in the pipeline I’d wait further to play.

There are a lot of vr users who were looking forward to re7 in vr, so if it had full vr support it might give a boost in sales. Also would be nice if that shimmering separation bug could be fixed.

    Hi there,

Just redownloaded VorpX for my desktop using an Oculus Rift in order to play Resident Evil 7 in VR. For some reason the game refuses to hook. I’ve tried other games in my steam library and they seem to hook just fine but RE7 just boots and the headset stays on the Oculus Home. I’ve tried disabling all overlays and I’ve tried running the game via a VorpX shortcut which doesn’t do anything.

    Any suggestions?

I can confirm that before 10 min of play the game constantly crash. I’m using samsung odyssey on Resident evil 7 by steamvr.
I think it should be great if you can find a solution for this.

Also with the full override my gamepad left thumbstick dont respond when moving left or forward.
