    http://www.wsgf.org/dr/tomb-raider-underworld

but it dont work for me.

I have created virtual resolutions but they are not selectable by the game.

Same error here with Rise of the Tomb Raider (v1.0 build 813.4_64; Steam). Hangs at ‘Attaching to ROTTR.exe / This takes quite a while…’.

The title launcher appears first with the vorpX ‘Attaching to ROTTR.exe’ window a few seconds later (with the ‘exclude/close/do nothing’ options appearing sixty seconds later).

Headset is stuck with the null loading window stating ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider / Loading…’ and the game icon in the bottom left.

I was anticipating this title to be work without having to use the built-in stereoscopic SBS option in conjunction with vorpX desktop viewer.

Tried importing cloud profile, manually adding to exclude list (doesn’t give the error but doesn’t hook either), adding steamapps folder to Windows Defender exclusions (vorpX is already there as the config app was flagged as virus with the 17.3 Witcher hotfix), running vorpX as admin, creating vorpX shortcut and adding ‘-nolauncher’ option. There’s no injection conflict processes that I can see.

There was some noise at release about the title needing dxgi files deleted from install directory to work… worth mentioning.

    17.3 working very well otherwise.

    Hey Delirifter,

I’ve tried… Doom, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Space Engineers, and PUBG.

Each of these games were super zoomed in. I tried a lot of the troubleshooting like manually setting FOV, adjusting settings within the vorpx controls, adjusting resolution, disabling head tracking, etc. Nothing worked.

One game worked out of all of the games I tried which was Rocket League, but that was because vorpx defaulted to the Virtual Cinema 3d. I could do this for all of the other games, but it slightly defeats the purpose because head tracking and other components are disabled.

I just tried this new Tom Raider 2 ‘Fan made’ remake demo yesterday and I have to say that it is so well done that it completely took me by surprise!!! Though not totally ‘Vorpx’ related…I think it is a great example of what to expect for the future of 3rd person gaming in VR. Ralf, if you can accomplish this kind of quality for ‘3rd person’ gaming in vorpx…it would totally solidify your position in the VR relm (not that you not already).

http://tombraider-dox.com/ The demo is about 1.6 gigs but is well worth checking out just to see how 3rd person done properly can work in a totally VR environment. As always though, the camera view can be problematic at times…but the TR series has always suffered from this so it’s nothing new. It is nearly all the complete 1st level of the game re-imagined graphically. More will come later from the ‘Fan’. He has over 10,000 followers/likes since the demo, so it’s gaining popularity very quickly.

This demo runs incredibly smooth on my system and the graphics are at least on par or better than anything available today. Definitely check it out!!!

This forum has a serois bug. It doesnt store post sometimes. like this one

    Ok i try again.

    Good news,
Tomb raider (1-5) can be played nicely with VorpX if you use the Opengl Renderer called “Opentomb”. look here for several engines This software is free, though you need the original games. Installing is easy, follow the instructions in the readme of opentomb. You must copy a few files of the original games in certain folders. Most important is the autoexec.lua where you must set the first level of the game you want to play. Example: setgamef (5,1) stands for tomb raider 5, first level.
I havent saved a game yet, but the 3D experience is great , just like is has to be. Perfect headtracking, you dont even need a certain VorpX profile.

    Hi there,
I yesterday purchased vorpx and I tried to run
‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ with it.
As soon as I launch the game I get stuck in the loading screen in vr mode.
I only see the game’s icon and some text saying that ROTTR.exe takes longer to load up than expected etc..

    Im running on

      Intel CPU
      Nvidia GTX (no SLI)
      Oculus Rift CV 1
      Windows 10 (freshly installed)

That’s what I’ve tried so far:

Uninstalled 3D Vision drivers of nvidia
Uninstalled Gefore experience, Skype and any other software that’s able to put labels over the game
      Disabled any gpu/cpu tools
Toggled DirectX 12 mode in the tomb raider configuration

I’m using my onboard graphic while having the rift plugged into the gtx to see my own desktop.
But I also tried to disable the integrated onboard graphic and started up with Virtual Desktop to launch the
    game through the rift itself.
I toggled the DirectX 12 mode in both cases again but nothing worked.

When starting the game, having onboard graphics enabled, I’m at least able to see the game opening on my screen.
I can also see a vorpx-text being rendered directly into the game but I neither reach the tomb raider ingame menu
in vr nor on my monitor.

The desktop viewer of vorpx didn’t work for me as well but that’s not a problem for me.
I rather need help to make the game run properly.
    Thanks for reading :-)

I often use the Virtual Cinema mode. I’m enjoying using it with SBS in “Rise of the Tomb Raider” (I can select it from the VorpX in-game menu). But I cannot select it in “Crysis 3” (i believe Geometry 3D has too many glitches, especially with glass). How can I enable it?

    @NipOC

You´re right, I only used SBS with vorpx.
For 3dvision I used 3DMigoto by helifax. If youre interested, you could look here:

    Hello dborosev,

I dont know about virtual desktop, but I used SBS with nvidia 3dvision and it looks quite good and there is way more depth, also it worked really good with Tomb Raider and vorpx. Maybe it´s more a problem of virtual desktop?!
Also with Z-Normal 3d there are a few problems, like objects seeming to float in the air when you use enhanced vision.

    Hello,

does anyone know how to enable stereoscopic 3d-mode via SBS in virtual screen mode. I think I could do that with Tomb Raider, but with deus ex the option “content type: SBS” doesnt show up in the vorpx-menu.

Rise of tomb raider already has built in geometry 3D, so I don’t understand what extra you’re getting there.

    Hi,
I ve tested reshade + depth3d and vorpx , it works
You have to use the rise of the tomb raider profile for each game.

So you activate 3d + head tracking but it s z buffer only .

    In reply to: DOSbox

It’s not really supported, but there is a profile that allows to show it in the headset with a Direct3D enabled DosBox build. Obviously there is no Stereo 3D for DOS games. Cinema mode highly recommended. Change the output=xxx line in your dosbox.conf to output=direct3d to make it work.

Use the 20140117 build, which you can find in the download archive. The latest from 2015 is rather buggy.

This DosBox version also supports quite a few Direct3D upscaling filters and – with some tinkering and an additional DX9 Glide wrapper like nGlide old 3dfx Glide games (also no Stereo 3D). I played the Glide version of Tomb Raider this way with vorpX, which was pure nostalgia fun.

Just to clarify, DXMD does have stereo3D, just horribly blocky and aliased.
The funny thing is, both Mankind Divided and Rise of Tomb Raider are identical game engines. Made by same developer, and even have exactly the same graphic configuration options and menus.
But in DXMD, it looks awful, while in Rise, it looks decent.
If you do implement your own S3D ala Vorpx, I’m sure it will be better than whatever they kludged together for DXMD.
