I wanted to try the 2013 Tomb Raider with VorpX and I applied the VorpX profile.
Then I wanted to revert to the original settings and I did it through VorpX’s restore game settings option. The problem is that when I went to run the game, I forgot that VorpX was on and it changed the original game settings back to the VorpX profile.
I want to go back to the original game settings and I can’t, because the change game settings option in VorpX is now empty for this game. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but the available game settings are just what vorpX allows, not the originals. How do I remove VorpX settings for this game?
Topic: VorpX Desktop Viewer
Does anyone know why some games start up well with Vorpx Viewer and some instant crash?
Outriders, Far Cry 5, 6, New Dwan, even Star Trek Battlefields 2 – all run perfectly on start up,
on the other hand MARVELS Avengers, Control, Quantum Break straight away crash with the Vorpx Viewer running.
No idea why.. cant really be the 3D engine as Tomb Raider runs great with the Vorpx Viewer but Marvels Avengers crashes, both run same engine..Anyone has an idea or tip how to bypass those crashes on start up?
Topic: Is MARVEL’s AVENGERS in 3D?
Hi Ralf, I am playing Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy in 3D with Vorpx and its great.
Now I also have the Marvels Avengers game. I copied the Guardians Vorpx profile and it hooked to Avengers, but inside the game I can not adjust any 3D strength, no settings, nothing changes etc, so I doubt the 3D is working..
I read online that both games use also different 3D engines. Guardians using DAWN Engine and Avengers FOUNDATION engine (same like Shadow of Tomb Raider and Rise of Tomb Raider).
I tried both those vorpx profiles on Avengers, but none of them hooked, also not with hook helper. As said the Guardians profile hooked but I dont think there is any 3D. That said, I swear I see depth in the game , not sure if the game itself is build with some 3d depth or something is working after all or I am just so crossed-eyed after so many games that I imagine to see things in 3D myself! haha. Similar phenomena I remember from Deathloop where the game felt 3D but wasnt, which was clear until you launched the official Vorpx profile and then the whole world was in amazing 3D.
Do you have a way to check it? or better, consider an official Vropx profile for the Marvel Avengers game?
thanks!
1. Open vorpX /right click vorpX icon in bottom right hand corner of Windows 10 and select “Pause Watcher”.
2. Open vorpX Desktop Viewer /press DEL to open settings /go to Image Settings, set Stereo Type to “Side by Side” /go to Hand Controller Settings and set Controller Mode to “Gamepad”.
3. Open SOTTR /open Display Settings, set DIRECTX 12 to “ON” /set Stereoscopic to “Side by Side” /leave Stereoscopic 3D-Separation at default(4 slider increments to the right) /set Stereoscopic Popout to 7 slider increments to the right, for realistic life size world.Enjoy better FPS.
Hi,
Has anyone else had trouble with SOTTR? Recently the 3D stopped working. I am not sure exactly when, it has been a while since I played it.I usually play in cinema mode on an Oculus quest 2. Previously the 3D worked fine like this.
Now the game only renders in 2D. There are no 3D settings that work with Cinema anymore. Only mono and side by side 3D. Obviously sbs will only work in full VR mode and I find 3rd person games really awkward like this.I do know there were some update to SOTTR, my graphics driver (1080Ti) and vorpx. I would rather not start rolling back updates if someone has a better suggestion of where to look?
Thanks in advance
Kenny
Rise of the Tomb Raiders latest patch has introduced severe stereo conflicts on all the shadows in its native 3D support, which means its broken in Vorpx aswell. Since so fev gamers seems to care about 3D I see a real risk that the developers might not fix this issue.
That is why I call on you all who likes to play this game in 3D to leave feedback on this issue on the steam forums. Here is my Steam thread; https://steamcommunity.com/app/391220/discussions/0/3198115339545087646/ and here is a screenshot of what the stereo conflicts look like; https://imgur.com/a/xi0h16q
There is a change that this issue is isolated to only my particular hardware/software setup but there is also a risk it is affecting everyone and only those who likes to play in 3D will notice. This update seems like a major universal update so it might have affected the other Tomb Raider games aswell but I only own ROTTR so I can´t check this.
Topic: Abysmal performance
These are my PC specs:
Monitor Resolution: 2560x1440p
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM: 32GBs 3200Mhz (16-18-18-36)
GPU: RX 6800XT
Windows 10 Pro (Clean install)
NVME 2TBs HP EX920
Antivirus disabledI’m trying to play Max Payne 3 with default profile
Every setting in the lowest possible value
Lowered resolution to 1920×1080 or even to 1200x720pI’m getting 12FPS sometimes 20FPS
With Shadow of Tomb Raider (default profile) I’m getting 28 FPS
Obviously both games work with more than 100FPS without VORPX
Is this normal and expected? or what can I tweak in VORPX to get a enjoyable playtime?
Thanks!
