No question about it, we need avatar frontiers of Pandora on Vorpx! The immersion of Cyberpunk on my Varjo Aero is gigantic. The fauna and flora of Pandora in VR would be incredible. I hope that we can experience that someday. Thank you for your efforts in general.

    Greetings

    Hi,

I’m trying get Cyberpunk running on latest beta, but this pop-up window is asking to update components (recommended) or continue. I cannot move mouse cursor with both mouse and controllers, so I cannot click this menu item. Also, I can move selection with cursor keys, but cannot confirm with enter or space.

How can I select required menu item?

It doesn’t seem to be renaming it now (under 1.27.5), Ralf. I was still getting FPS loss on 1.27.5 unless I manually renamed it.
Anyway, the world looks to have moved on. Valve look to have retired the exe (actually, says so in the release notes!) as it doesn’t appear in a clean install of SteamVR 2.x now anyway.

All that said, SteamVR 2.1.8 looks to have fixed the FPS drop I was experiencing so yay, back to business as usual. :)

I suspect that the issue was tied to Valve retiring Game Theatre and replacing it with a function of their new overlay system. Cyberpunk still shows in an overlay window as well as in the virtual area behind (where it should be!), when you bring up the (for want of a better name) SteamVR taskbar. With 2.1.8 it now feels like it stops rendering the overlay window when the taskbar isn’t up. I suspect this was happening on previous versions of SteamVR 2.x. Not turning off “Present Non-VR Applications on Theater Screen Upon Launch” as Smoils highlighted would also give a 3rd rendering as a game theatre window!

    Anyway TL;DR:
SteamVR 2.1.8 fixes the issues highlighted in this thread.

Thankss for suggestion, however i tried nalo and it works quite awkwardly, it works seldomly but when it does, its very cumbersome, the display is literally shaking since it register movement as humping from side to side, so basically while moreless i walk slowly i have to move by hands quickly or even when i move hands quickly the depiction of display is as i was running swinging drunk from side to side on a ship during a strom at ocean, the image of screen is shaking too much. Maybe its better with a phone or tracker mounted to leg.

Furthermore hardware stuff like htc trackers not sure if supposed to be at place like kat loco need bases to track i think so you cant leave the room. If natural locomotion app could be due similar reason not supposed to be walking with it really but staying in place.
Kat loco not sure if those need bases, but perhaps are slower, can be used only at place, and cannot be used like fbt full body tracking or tracking real world objects.

Thanks for your suggested cyberhoes or walkovr perhaps could be better. I think there are some special trackers even for 50 euroes

    Hey ,
There is a way to make the head tracking in vehicle work on all axes and angles like in cyberpunk?

You can do it via vr controllers, there are several apps like natural locomotion etc or I have cybershoes for example and what those do is they translate their motion type into vr controller thumbstick input, which vorpx then picks up and translates into game input.

Natural locomotion works the easiest, by default its armswinger, but can even use phones on legs or put controllers on legs and use gamepad for other input.

Point is it works. Mirrors edge one is quite fun with NaLo and armswinger in vorpx

Cyberpunk Epic Version freezed to 2.0 version, could the problem be epic?
Is my Quest 3 not compatible? I haven’t tried with steamvr which I read has been updated and no longer allows you to disable theater mode.

Hi everyone, yesterday I received the quest 3 headset, one of the main reasons why I got it is to play cyberpunk with the vorpx mod. Unfortunately after several attempts I can’t get it to work. Can you help me? I tried to run it with Airlink and Virtual Desktop, the mod is loaded in fact I see the guide for the motion controllers but when I do ‘continue’ everything remains flat similar to the steam theater.
In Configure CyberpunkVR I put OpenXR since I have quest 3. Am I doing something wrong? Please kindly ask for your help. I’m not an expert with mods.

The version of cyberpunk is 2.0
    Thank you

It appears that Valve have pushed the new Theatre mode into SteamVR stable and removed the option to turn it off!
I first noticed the issue when I fired up Cyberpunk to a maximum or 30 base FPS.

The quick and dirty solution (plagiarised from the steam forums https://steamcommunity.com/app/250820/discussions/0/3975051032848951686/) is to rename the game theatre exe.

    c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\steamvr_desktop_game_theater\win64\steamvr_desktop_game_theater.exe

This worked for me. Hopefully there will be a more elegant solution in the future.

I can’t get my Valve Index controllers to work after the motion tutorial at the start of the Cyberpunk 2077 using the Vorpx VR mod. Can anyone assist?

Yes, I downloaded cyberpunk last night as a fresh install with a fully fresh directory (on a new HD I got for my birthday!!) and downloaded the vorpx mod for the first time ever last night. Would Vorpx show up in my task manager or anything when i go to load the game? I can’t even tell that it’s been activated. It honestly looks like I’m just using virtual desktop to see my screen when I start the game.

Hi everyone! I just installed cyberpunk again yesterday because I heard about this awesome VR mod and got a Quest 3. I have the latest everything installed, but when I start Cyberpunk from steam, it doesn’t do anything more than a floating screen in front of me. My motion controllers don’t work – i can move the mouse cursor with one of my controllers but nothing else works. I can also only select continue-load-new (the top 3 menu buttons). The controller won’t control anything past the bottom half of the screen. When I go in game using mouse/keyboard, I can move the camera around just like i could move my mouse cursor around. I don’t have a vorpx menu or tutorial or anything that pops up when I load the game.

What other steps can I do to troubleshoot this? Is there a log kept somewhere that I can look at?

I used the SPIDER-MAN REMASTERED profile but vorpX refused to hook (even with hook-helpers installed), no matter that BOTH games use DX12 and the same graphic engine.

Now i remembered the CYBERPUNK 2077 profile coming in handy for so many games that refused to work with vorpX and so i tried it with Spider-Man Miles Morales…

…LOL it´s working now, with the CP2077 profile!

Just because i am slightly interested: Any idea why it refuses to work with the remastered profile but works with the CP2077 one and why it is happening so often that the CP2077 profile works with so many games?
