Has anyone gotten this game to run at a decent frame rate? I’ve got a i5, 16 gigs of ram, and a 2060 and no matter what settings (even as low as it can possibly go) I can not reach a playable frame rate. Especially in the long open dark hallways and in the main hall.

4 games that must be awesome in G3d : Total war warhammer 2 (+ it’s very popular)
Metal gear the phantom pain , Devil may cry 5(Resident 2 remake looks gorgeous in G3D) and my winter favourite STEEP.(please)

Hello! I tried playing RE2 using the REFramework first person mod which works fine in non-Vorpx mode, but once i have Vorpx running, the mod options menu disappears and I can switch to first person mode. Anyone know how to get around this?

Just to clarify I am trying to launch Resident Evil 7. Also My VorpX Desktop will not launch either. I tried disabling My bitdefender antivirus and firewall, turned off MSI DragonCenter, and exited my GeForce Experience.

    hey everyone,

Saw RE2 was down to like 19 bucks on steam and wanted to see who had played it with the 1st person mod and how well it ran/worked with vorpx. i dont mind having to jump in and out of image zoom for menus and stuff

You may also try one of these profiles.
    First try Resident Evil 5.

I’ve played a bit of Resident Evil 2 with the First Person Mod in VorpX. It looks in Full-VR G3D amazing, and plays great (with the exception of the FOV changing when I hold the aim button, RE7 did this too but you could fire at least from the hip there). The issue is performance, in G3D on the lowest the settings can go and it’s still dipping into the sub 40-55 fps range and that’s already under-sampled to where it is very blurry. If it wasn’t for the performance it would be an incredible VorpX game. I guess I’m trying to see if anyone has any other methods they barter for frame rate, for me leaving G3D is a no go. It’s kind of strange that VorpX has this performance ceiling that eventually if a game is running poorly no amount of lowering of settings seems to help. Games with Stereoscopic 3d through virtual desktop on SBS do not seem to take such a hit.

    Hey there,

thanks for your support in future and I hope you can help me with my problem:

I tried using vorpX for “Resident Evil 2 Remake” (and after that a, with bunch of other games with the same problem)

When I start the game, it’s starting as always and vorpX shows a short popup that it’s attaching to the game. When the game is loaded, it shows the “startup-hints” in the upper left corner and I can close them.

But when i look into my VR-Headset the game is forever in “loading” screen. The game only runs on my normal monitor.

I’m using an Oculus Rift on Windows 10 with two nVidia geforce 970.

I tried running the softwares running as admin, deactivated my antivirus, tried diferrent hooking method, selected other Headset-types like Steam-VR and I think every other option I could find in vorpx.

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Cheers,
    SH2DO

“Resident Evil 2: G3D/Z3D, immersive screen, scalable 3D HUD, DirectVR: auto settings”

Could this work lead to directvr support for RE7? I believe I read they used the same engine.

this is what i did to get the game to work.
i had so many problems trying to get it to work.
just closed out every time i launched it.
    so heres what i did.
i had to open oculus trey tool as administrator
    then steam as administrator
    then steam vr as administrator
    then vorp x as administrator
then resident evil 2 as administrator
also it still takes 2 or 3 times to hook but it does hook.
im half way through the game now.
also i had to instal my game in
    localdisk(C)program files(X86)
then i had problems with saves so i had to run the game as normal until i could save .then i had to copy that save over to the steam game save folder
LocalDisk(C)programfiles(x86)steamuserdata(your steam id)thats were you put the win64_save. but this is only if your game is not saving .
    hope this helps

is a i5-7600, rtx2080 and 16GB Ram good enough to play games like Resident Evil 2 or Metro Exodus in G3D and 3k Resolution ? What is more important for G3D, CPU or GPU ?

Recently started playing RE7 after I noticed the hand issues are fixed. The game looks great, no issues with hair, shadows etc but I got to the handgun after you get your hand chopped off and it has a really bright white silhouette next it.

Ive spent about an hour changing things in the graphics settings, tweaking image zoom, fov correction etc with no luck.

Ive tried resetting to factory settings in vorpx but no luck. I am running the latest version of Vorpx, will try updating my drivers tonight. Only other thing I can think of is I am running resolution at 4k, would this make a difference?

Is there a way to get vorpx to do its direct vr magic again?

Just to note the hands are perfect, I also dont have this issue with the axe, having got any other weapons yet so cant confirm if its just the handgun.
