dborosevParticipantThanks Ralf! God damn, VorpX has to be the best product I’ve ever purchased (besides my Odyssey+ and Vive of course).

dborosevParticipantHere is one such mod. Black velcro works well too and looks nicer.

dborosevParticipantOut of the box, there is quite a bit of light bleed for some people because the angle of the faceplate to the halo is just bad. Modding it (with elastics or velcro) to pull in the face plate closer so you can wear the halo properly fixes everything. Some people don’t have that issue.
The headphones are great. Same as the DAS.

dborosevParticipantI upgraded from a Vive, and its a LOT better. (Although tracking isn’t 100%, but still plenty good).
The screen is drop dead gorgeous once you edit the config files to up the SS. No SDE, and almost looks monitor quality. And I did a simple mod to “elastic” the faceplate closer to my face, which solved any light bleed and comfort issues. Now, its far more comfy, WAY better visuals, and simpler to use than the Vive.

dborosevParticipantMay sound silly but I almost can’t imagine a screen much better than what I’m seeing. It’s pretty much almost like looking at a monitor. Such a massive upgrade from the vive.
dborosevParticipantI just upgraded from a Vive to the Odyssey+, and I friggin love it. The display is so damn nice.
dborosevParticipantI did set it to exclusive fullscreen, but the res still doesn’t show up in the list. I’ll play with it a bit and see.
On 3200×2400 it plays very very well. Its so clear on my Odyssey+, and it doesn’t seem to have taken a performance hit at all at that res.
dborosevParticipantAnswers and info are always better than empty responses or nothing at all, so I highly support this. I’m not sure who is giving you the ad infinitum treatment, but I would ask that if its ever one of us, just say something like “case closed guys” to remind us. In case we inadvertantly ask too many questions or something.
dborosevParticipantWell, I’ll throw my “pretty please” into the ring for this one. If Ralf gets enough interest, maybe its possible.
dborosevParticipantWhat does Vulkan only mean? A profile will never happen?
dborosevParticipantAh I saw another post that said it wasn’t working. :(

dborosevParticipantThanks for the info.
I gave up on Star Citizen a long time ago, so I’m not that familiar with its current state. What exactly is “playable” in the game right now? Is there much of a game, or is it still more like a tech demo?
I may give it a try in Z3D cinema mode and avoid all the menu/headtracking/recenter headache.
dborosevParticipantSo far I am absolutely loving it. After you get the weirdness of the fit figured out, its very comfortable, much more so that the Vive was for me. Also the display is MILES better then the Rift or Vive. I don’t think I could go back to the Vive.
On a side note, I had to mod it with Velcro to get rid of the light bleed.
dborosevParticipantI just bought one, should be delivered soon. Hoping its an upgrade from my Vive, but we’ll see.
dborosevParticipantYep, love me some 3D games (third or first person).
