dborosevParticipantUpdate:
Well, one of your suggestions eventually worked @dellrifter22. Randomly trying different combinations of resolution, fullscreen, and AA finally worked. It seems like AA had to be turned off for it to work this time. I tried that already but this time it worked. (It was never off before).
But in any case, its worked once with my test, so hopefully it stays “on” now.
Thanks for the help all.
dborosevParticipant@dellrifter22, Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn’t work. I tried changing pretty much all those settings, to no avail. Looks like I’m just not meant to play this game. Its quite weird that those games work fine for you however, and not me. I wonder what it could be? We are using the same profile, so how could it not work?
I’ll give farcry a try again soon and let you know. But I played with it for about 2 hours a few months ago and nothing.@Ralf, None of those settings helped the judder, and they were already set that way. I’ll continue to fiddle with it I guess when I get time. DE:MD might just not be in the cards for me I guess.
I’ll report back if I find anything new. Glad it still works for you Dellrifter, gives me hope.
dborosevParticipantLol. Yeah yeah. Ok I’ll give it a try sometime for this game.
In case you’re wondering, my main reasons are that
a) it lets me sit down and play. Full VR I’d feel compelled to stand. And mmo style games would be marathons.
b) FPS are always more accurate with kb+m. (hate controllers). But maybe there is a happy in-between I’ve left un-explored.
dborosevParticipantYes, fallout 76. Should note that I’m using cinema mode.
dborosevParticipantWorks great. I think this is the first time that I actually prefer the Znormal profile over the G3D one. Not sure why, it just seems crisper and clearer, and of course performance. Something about the shadows with all the foliage is just better in ZNormal.
dborosevParticipantThe z-normal actually looks pretty damn nice in its own right. Gorgeous game world, much better than F4 in my opinion.
dborosevParticipantTried the existing cloud profile for it. Geometry didn’t work, (was just flat) but I could get ZNormal to work. Not sure why. I’ll update if I figure it out, or wait for the official profile.
dborosevParticipantThat’s good enough for me. That’s about as solid an answer as is possible. Looking forward to playing!
dborosevParticipantGood new thanks.
2 questions:
1) So has something changed, or have ini edits always been possible?
Did Bethesda say ini edits are here to stay?2) IS VorpX itself ever at risk of being banned? Does that ever happen with MP games and VorpX?
dborosevParticipantI’d love to hear more on people’s FOV tests too, and any day 1 patches.
Apparently, its playable a day ahead of schedule.
dborosevParticipantSo changing fov as it stands right now should not be an issue? (Unless they decide to add something post-beta? Just so I’m clear.)
dborosevParticipantCome to think of it, if you need any (ahem) beta testers for ME:Andromeda specifically, I’d be more than glad to test it extensively. ;)
dborosevParticipantDellrifter, you’re getting so hardcore into this stuff technically, you should change your username to DellRalfter. :)
dborosevParticipantThanks. Got it figured out – I was using the existing cloud profile someone made, which doesn’t seem to work. Just creating my own with Vampyr fixed it.
dborosevParticipantI can make it into the game, but can’t see anything when it starts. Just crazy smears of screen across my eyes. Nothing coherent. Just the menu’s are visible.
