Are you sure you uploaded the new profile to the cloud? I’ve imported twice now, resetting to default, and still no luck with Z3D. There is also no HUD sliders present in the vorpX menu.

I enabled vorpX hints and notifications, but I see no instructions. Is there a specific game setting or resolution I need?

I’ve tested all AA types, fullscreen/windowed, but no 3D.

It did have Z3D at one point, but I suspect a game update may have broken it.
I checked my experimental profile last month and noticed parts of the 3D shaders had changed or were now broken.
It’s locked as an official profile, so we would need Ralf to take a quick look.
I would like to try the new Vanguard and Modern Warfare CoDs, but they are too much money to risk not having any Z3D profile that works, as the current dx12 profiles are so few.

Oh that’s great news! If it works as expected.

Might be time to join gamepass finally.

I thought this was a dx12 game. Are you able to play in dx11?

    Anti-cheat is Battleye yes?
Can you launch solo play without BE in this game?
Can you join a non BE mulitplayer session? or are they all BE enforced?

Did you try dx12 profiles like CyberPunk and RDR2? or Grounded? It appears FH5 is dx12 only.

    That’s a fun idea.

I have less time with the holidays approaching, but I’ll update a few if I can. I need to find more patience to make screenshots :)

Thanks. Maybe a better solution than reposting to Privfile every month.

The profile I uploaded to cloud was copied from Nier for Z3D, but I added Geometry 3D and assigned shadow and HUD layers to the vorpX UI. It’s not perfect, but there if you want to try it [dellrifter22]. You can switch between Z3D/G3D by hotkey at any time if things look wrong.

I’ve been doing a lot of virtual trekking and sight seeing in the Assassin’s Creed Discovery Tours this week, enjoying the improvements of fidelityFX with high resolution Z3D. If you have a high res headset like Reverb and a system to push 2880p and higher, the detail and image clarity become quite impressive.

With a few adjustments to game FOV and fullVR mode, you can enter first-person view and passively explore the cities and landscapes of ancient Egypt and Greece. Discover ruins, walk along the beaches and mountains, among the animals and soldiers, people-watch the NPCs, and marvel at the architectures. The detail and draw distances are stunning.

And this weekend I returned to theHunter: Call of the Wild and had a great time exploring the new Alaska and Colorado reserves with my new dog companion. Each reserve has a story mission narrative (similar to Firewatch) that guides you through many points of interest. You don’t even need to do any hunting if you don’t want, though you will need to be mindful to avoid bears, wolves, and mountain lions. I like to pack my tent and ATV, set the time of day to near sunrise or sunset, and head out to explore forests and trails and hike to high vantage points. The vistas of nature are often very captivating – you would be hard pressed to find any better in video games.

    OK, thanks for the explanation.

I hope you won’t forget about it entirely though. I think dx12 Z3D is the current and foreseeable future we face, and any breakthroughs to expand these tools would be beneficial to our community efforts.

A.K.A. I wish I could get games like FarCry 6 and the recent Call of Dutys working :)

If only they were dx11 … fuuuuu :)

Ralf, I sent an email last week. I’d like to understand Z3D profile creation for new dx11/12 games if possible. Thanks.

@ Aaroncls Given my limited capabilities, I was unable to find a better solution for dynamic lights other than to provide the option to disable them. Some environments are less offensive than others, so you can toggle between vorpX Shadow Treatment “turn OFF” and “No S3D” to see which suits the situation best. One trick that can help mitigate the lack of dynamic light is to boost the gamma and saturation values to make the scene appear more vibrantly lit.

@ Reevethelion Due to the very low field of view restrictions of the camera, FullVR mode isn’t really suitable in this game unfortunately. You can try the FullVR mode with image zoom moved out to around 0.40 to get an idea of where it needs to be, but the screen edges will be very noticeable.

In FF14 you need to hold down the right mouse button to rotate the camera. So if you want to control the camera with your head tracking, you’ll need to hold down right mouse button while you look around.

I see there are already some mods on Nexus to increase/customize both weapon viewmodel fov and driving in vehicles fov. These were the 2 main issues preventing an ideal FullVR mode experience in FC4&5.

If we can get some Z3D, this might be a good Far Cry to pick up. And no anti-cheat yet as far as I can tell.

I don’t have time to test this again for a week or so, but I’ve experienced the horizontal lines issue in one other G3D game already. Try changing between the new FidelityFX modes that vorpX just updated. That seemed to both cause this issue and also fix it again, depending on the level you have selected.
