    Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (G3D)

Vegas 2 has even more restricted FOV than the first, so a mod is needed. The mod pushes hand models a bit further out than I wanted, but it is still passable. Much less pop-in though thanks to the mod.

    **Requires FOV 90 mod download:
(see post below, only one link per post allowed)

put CameraConfig.uppc from 90 folder into:
    Rainbow Six Vegas 2\KellerGame\CookedPC\Packages\Camera

    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440, 3840×2160)
    – turn off motion blur in game Video Settings

    *Scalable HUD, also affects scopes
    *Tested on HP Reverb

Sometimes your AA anti aliasing settings and or resolution setting can mess with the buffer. Try cycling through the different AA options in game, and also switching between Fullscreen and windowed mode to see if it resolves.

If the game has an internal resolution scaler, best to always leave that at default 1.0 as this too can mess things up.

I looked the game up for you quickly, and I have both good news and bad news.

Bad news first: PHG uses Easy Anti Cheat, which blocks vorpX from hooking for online play :(. So like many other potentially good games I too would like to play with vorpX, EAC is stopping the fun. Sorry man.

The better news is that you can at least play the tutorial in offline mode for a few minutes of fun. I’ve managed a quick G3D profile based on Hellblade UE4 that should suit well enough. Find it now on the cloud.

    Instructions:

    – Launch the game with SpaceFish.exe from the games main directory (not through the Epic launcher)
    – Set graphics quality to LOW to avoid blur effects (may need to do this every time you restart the game)

*If the shadows bother you, set G3D Shadow Treatment to OFF in vorpX menu
*Scalable HUD options available also in the vorpX menu
*Cinema mode default, but you can switch to FullVR mode for better world scale

Hope this will at least give you a couple hours of fun. Enjoy.

Possibly same engine, but I’m pretty sure this is online only game with anti cheat so vorpx won’t hook into 2.

If trouble hooking with Rift, try using vorpX in Oculus mode. Or then try it in steamVR mode also to see if one may work.

Remember Battleye must be uninstalled/disabled to hook into this game. See instructions here

Unfortunately it appears that recent game updates have broken all former bypass options, and it is unclear if new options will become available any time soon.

Makes me sad since I still haven’t completed the game, and is one I return to often.

For now though, I’ve picked up Breakpoint for cheap on the Ubisoft Sale, and can confirm it is currently working with vorpX after uninstalling Battleye. Read about it here.

New immersive Ghost Experience mode makes it closer now to the Wildlands experience, so I am enjoying this new game and it’s graphical facelift.

In case you guys are still playing this game, I’ve added a new G3D profile for Classic that is working pretty well. Listed on the cloud as:

    theHunter Classic [dellrifter22]

    Read more about it here.

I exclusively play with mouse and keyboard, but I will try a controller tonight to see how it goes.

You can mess with the controller overide settings in the vorpx menu yourself though, on vs off etc. That’s all I’m really going to try.

This is a dx12 only game, but I’d be curious to know if Z3D is possible. I would play this game for sure if that were the case.

I’m installing the free Warzone mode tonight after work to try with RDR2 profile on the off chance it works. Otherwise we will have to wait for vorpx dx12 updates in the distant future.

which ever profile has the exe file assigned to it in your vorpX Config app. Open the Local Profiles page, search Halo and click the profile to see the box window to the right if any executables are assigned.

Don’t forget to use edgepeek for better menus and cinematic cutscenes.

@RJK thanks man, I definitely want your engine checker. I’ll send a mail later today.

Yes Ralf, it’s working quite well in G3D, though I did choose to use additional FOV enhancement for better weapon placement. Feel free to have a look.

I’ve made more adjustments and reuploaded to the cloud for anyone to use. you can read about it here.

    – set FOV to max 120 in game video settings

I did not have the time yesterday I expected to finish the profile and do the full write up, which I will do this weekend.

I did however upload the profile now anyway in it’s current state, if you are wanting to try it asap. Halo CE G3D is working best, Reach still needs a bit more work. I’ve only tested a few levels of the campaign, no online play yet. Search the cloud for:

Halo: The Master Chief Collection [dellrifter22]

This is tested on the steam version, but I added the windows store exe provided us by Beardo Benjo, which may work also. Fortunately HMCC shipped with an Anti-Cheat Disabled mode for modding that we can launch to work in vorpX (select from steam launch option when starting).

    Brief recommendations before I go:

    -use 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)
-set FOV to 118 in game video settings for both first person and vehicle
-set graphical quality to Original (not Enhanced)

    *Adjustable HUD
*Global Illumination toggle via G3D shadow treatment
*Tested on HP Reverb, online play not yet tested

Ok I run to work now, see you guys later this weekend with update.

I spent my evening yesterday finding g3d for this and Reach with some luck. I’ll try to post a profile by tomorrow after an attempt to fix a couple more shader issues.

    But so far so good.

Forgive me for not keeping up to date with all discussion recently, I don’t know if my issue relates or not to the recent steam overlay:

I’m trying to play more Assassins Creed Odyssey, but it no longer appears on my monitor properly when using vorpX/steamvr. Loading Screen appears in hmd, but not on desktop. It’s as if minimized and mouse is captured at the top edge until you click, then focus on game is lost.

Without vr, things seem normal. I’m updated on vorpX.

Same happens for ACOrigins also. Some Ubisoft overlay problem? I’m not sure.

If you could just check your ACOdyssey for me to confirm it still works or not, would be appropriated.
