ParticipantI’m a fresh 4090 owner so I had to finally try this VR mod.
The Reverb is at a solid 90 but FPS 36 with highest res and extremely high settings. Lower a few settings and the best my cpu can do is 60 FPS. Not enough. Rotating quickly exhibits a very disturbing screen shuffling effect in G3D. Z3D is not as 3D affective but solid and easily playable without those epileptic graphic rotating anomalies.
I’d be curious to hear how that paywall Luke Ross VR mod fairs?

ParticipantI think you need to turn off head tracking in the game options.
Aside from that, this game is unplayable for me with my 1080ti. Very poor performance. It also did not want to hook normally, I had to use the ‘special’ hook feature of VorpX for it to work.

ParticipantCan someone confirm this game still works with VorpX please?
I’m getting 1 fps and ghosting back ground with no mouse cursor in game.

ParticipantSame here. GoG version hard crashes when hitting OK or Ok&Save.
Also I’m using a 360 gamepad navigating the Del menu because the mouse curser does not move in the Del menu.Destroy
ParticipantAs an average Joe, page one does not help at all, it only confuses me more.
Which is why I posted the question directly.
G3D is all I’m interested in for VorpX as it is the only ‘real’ VR mode to my eyes.

ParticipantThis game is huge in importance.
From what I read, G3D is not possible with this game, correct?

ParticipantProblem is The Forest doesn’t support gamepad or mouse/kb in VR, ONLY VR ‘wands’.
Really sucks if you want to just sit, relax and chill.

ParticipantThere are so many options settings nowadays, it really is confusing what to turn on or off.
Thanks for the tip.

ParticipantI’m a bit surprised there is no profile for Freespace 2 (with FreeSpaceOpen).
Destroy
ParticipantI haven’t bought it yet as EA = bugs = VR very iffy.
Plus 8hrs for $40 is bad value in my book.So the big question I have for early adopters, is it better than Freespace 1 and 2?

ParticipantWith no care for price, Pimax 8KX is the easy choice. There is no substitution for resolution.

ParticipantBoneworks is the better VR Half-Life to me. With all its glitches and buggy physics it felt a lot more immersive to me. I couldn’t stop playing it, where Half-Life feels like a drag, playing for 30-60 minutes each day but feel no need to play longer. I think it’s way overrated.
I feel the same. Based on feedback, I bought Boneworks instead. Much better entertainment value. Alyx is won and done, Boneworks is way more open ended.
Maybe when the ‘Gold’ Alyx pack is completed and on sale, I’ll get it.

ParticipantYeah, not sure if there is a unresolved bug for this series but Dishonored 1 also has gamepad control issues in VorpX.
DirectVR works and calibrates things decently EXCEPT I am unable to control my view/aiming with the right thumb stick on the controller. Only with the HMD does view/aiming control work properly but it can not be made sensitive enough so I’m having to move my head ALOT which is just not fun when seated.
I can’t figure out a way to simply enable the gamepad RT stick view Y axis.

ParticipantYeah, my few test tries with RE2 2019 were not very good. The image quality and frame rate were abnormally poor.
Need to investigate if and what DirectVR is doing.
This is with or without the FPS mod btw.

ParticipantYup, I’ve certainly seem some that didn’t seem like they are in G3D.
Also, maybe at the time they were G3D but now with windows updates, VR updates, driver changes, etc, it no longer works like it use to or at all.
