ParticipantAfter the latest updates, can anyone confirm this still works in G3D? I’m getting one black eye with DLSS off. Both Z rendering modes work fine but its just not the same.
Can’t edit my previous post so I’ll quote myself….Revisiting this, turns out on GOG.com I need to use the command line switch of “-dx11” to force the game to DirectX11. Then G3D in the single cloud profile works properly.

ParticipantThe game has been updated and the FOV changing is no longer possible with the current methods. Anyone have a way to go past the 110 in game limit?

ParticipantIs there any documentation or post on how to use VorpX with reShade SuperDepth3D? I see tons of info on using Virtual Desttop but not VorpX Desktop.
Or maybe its not even worth trying? I have no clue how well or not well SuperDepth3D works?

ParticipantThank you for this! I could not figure out why TrackIR would not work with my Reverb G2 in this game.
It is the ‘NPClient64.dll’ that I put in the game folder at
c:\Steamgames\steamapps\common\EVERSPACE 2 – Demo\ES2\Plugins\TrackIR\Source\ThirdParty\NPClient\Win64Edit: Just to add. I found the FOV at 110 still too zoomed in so I used UniversalUE4Unlocker to hook into the E2 exe then change the FOV to taste in the ~ console.
Much better with TrackIR for sure but I wish VorpX had a proper G3D profile with 6dof trackir.

ParticipantYeah, lowering ALL settings to Med netted me ~40fps game. People must run at complete blur vision potato settings to get 50fps or better.
There is an eye rendering issue I’m seeing. Both in CP mod and VorpX beta.
One eye gets stuck when using DirectVR, both eyes work ok in Z3D. If I change Headset Sync to Favor Latency the stuck eye will work but is horribly lagged behind the other eye that is running at the fast normal frame rate. Same performance and issue using OpenXR and SteamVR. This is on HP G2 btw.Destroy
ParticipantFinally got this to work. Turns out MSI Afterburner prevented this stand alone mod from hooking properly. Grrr…took me several hours of uninstalling reinstalling things to figure this out so figure I’d post this tip for other to watch their background programs for conflicts like this.
What increases game FPS the most? No settings I turn off seems to make any FPS change from ~29fps. 4090 with i5 10600k@4.6Ghz

ParticipantFreespace would be awesome with a VR mod.

ParticipantWish the game had a proper VR mode out of the box ala Fallout 4 VR.
Not a fan of the mandated SSD requirements.Destroy
ParticipantVorpX seems to be a mess. No up to date info on truly supported games.

ParticipantJust confirming the 1.2.16 profile does work well but the game must be in D3D, OpenGL and Vulcan did not hook for me.

ParticipantHmmm…I get black screen during loading for 6 seconds then back to desktop. Game does not load for more than 6 seconds then crashes. I can confirm the game does work sans VR mod and can confirm all DLSS and FSR etc features are disabled.

ParticipantThe new DLSS3 patch is out. Amazing frame rate increase, from 35 fps native (no DLSS at all) to 124 fps with new DLSS3 Auto on.
Tried this mod and the game crashes at the Welcome to blah City menu.
Any chance this mod being update? I’m willing to try betas with my 4090 as needed to help out.
Thanks.Destroy
ParticipantYup, can confirm, 4090 works well in all VorpX titles I’ve tried except Cyberpunk. Not sure if its the mod or game but quickly rotating the viewpoint really hurts ones eyes and brain.

ParticipantI really wish the HUD could be improved somehow. As with many headsets, things get blurry pretty quick outside the sweat spot.
So you can have a larger HUD but way out into the blurry edges or tiny unreadable HUD squashed nearer the center. I find clicking in and out of peek to immersion destroying. -
