with a highend pc i would not install this, because the graphics are very noticeable lower with this mod, but with for example a RTX2060 or RTX3060 i would install it

restarting every 60 minutes is essential with or without this mod, i would not use it to bypass the restarts

I guess it’s too much effort for only on game, to change so many stuff in the code of vorpx, in order to AC Valhalla will work with vorpx in Z3D. Nobody knows if the next anvil engines will be so much incompatible with the vorpx code.

The tech behind the the three AFR 3D profiles, is reusable for the next VR Mods, and are worth the development time. But i would love to see a AC Valhalla VR Mod, too. But this game is not so popular like GTA5, RDR2 or Cyberpunk and we don’t know how it would be received in the community.

I would love to see a poll, which game should be the next VR Mod, like Luke Ross it does on his page. But Ralf has still to do the regular work at vorpx, and i guess there are only 2-3 VR Mods a year possible, because of the huge development time. Luke Ross is going to release one VR Mod per Month, but he has no vorpx to support nearly everything in Z3D or G3D and many of them in FullVR !

With this mod you can get 10-20fps, but i have detected that a restart of the game every 60 minutes has the same effect, but without lower the graphic settings. I don’t know why is this not fixed by CD Project after one year of patches, but the performance of the game drops after playing a while and a Restart fixes that completely from 40fps back to 60fps.

With this mod can those, who have to run the game in Z3D get a few fps in addition to a Restart every hour to play the game in DirectVR 3D, with noticeable lower graphics.

    works for me:

    Mighty Minimap (bigger minimap)

    or

Improved Minimap Zoom (a little more tricky to configure)

The little competitor Helixvision supports Geo-3D in DAI. But you won’t have to use it without Vorpx. You can use a first Person Mod in FullVR with the Vorpx Desktop Viewer or the Tomb Raider Profiles, and use only the Geo-3D driver in SBS of Helixvision.

i play it like a stealth game, and ghosting through the enemies will be difficult, if aiming through iron sights depends to the Headtracking

it’s much better than in RDR2, which i played last week in native openxr. But specially while driving fast and wild the headtracking is stuttering. If i climb a tower and run the stairs around the tower to the top it is stuttering. I run the game with 90hz Reverb G2 and 66% frame cap (fluidsync) with 55-60fps but in wild action the headtracking is stuttering and makes me ill although the fps are 55-60fps. I have set judder protection head tracking that helps, but not enough. On foot if i rotate with the controller, there is a black screen for a few milliseconds, when i stop the rotation.

But all in all, if i ignore the technical limitations Antialiasing and a little bit more stuttering than in older games, it’s great adventure to play it in DirectVR 3D with all your cool sub-mods integrated to make it comfortable.

Windows Mixed Reality and it’s openxr runtime is broken. So we have to use SteamVR and we don’t have the full performance of the game and a problem with stuttering headtracking. Ralf will fix that next week. It’s not final result, what we see with a Reverb G2 at the moment !

Do you use Z3D normal ? That is fake 3D, it looks better and the performance is great, but the DirectVR 3D is the real VR Mode. In DirectVR 3D you can feel the world, the traffic and the NPC’s are “living”. Give it a chance !

i had the problem with RDR2 last week. I had to do a factory reset of vorpx, the RDR2 vorpx profile and a reset of the settings of the game in the geforce experience app.

The Headtracking depends on the mouse function of windows, you can set keyboard and mouse in the vorpx in-game menu to check the headtracking as mouse tracking.

Around the NPC’s is a flickering “gloriole”, specially the long hair of the female NPC’s are flickering. Can i reduce the TAA sharpening or the 3D Strength to reduce the flickering a little bit ?
