Have you tried the NVIDIA DLDSR (Deep Learning Dynamic Super Resolution) in the Mod ?

it is a pity that all these stuff on github is always based on openvr instead of the newer openxr, that i can’t test it with my Reverb G2 in some other VR Tools. OpenVR is shit with my Reverb G2.

I hope that this something like a super ultra quality mode of DLSS, which is usable in the Cyberpunk Mod to get a clean image with DLSS ! In my opinonen DLSS is in AFR Mods no alternative to TAA, where TAA is bad enough in VR. I hope that the new DLDSR is like the great vorpx FSR upscaling from Ralf, but at the quality level of DLSS, because it’s a hardware based method. I hope that it will work out of the box with vorpx in any game, via the nvidia driver. Perhaps we will get a decent Antialiasing method for VR with acceptable performance cost, which is much better than TAA !

Ralf is right ! For new user the default options of the profiles are the best solution. I modify my profiles to squeeze out the last few percent, and that is not necessary for everyone, and prefer the maximum square resolutions in any case even in Cinema Mode. (In Cinema Mode in 3rd Person Games i raise the fov to 150 and set a very near distance of the image.)

Please reset your profile in the vorpx-config-app, and after that try to modify your image zoom, and the size and depth of your HUD in the vorpx ingame menu.

Have you tried the nexus mods to increase the draw distance, which are made for 1.31 ? Do you use the Game settings LOD, Shadow Distance and Dynamic Decals at high or ultra ?

I don’t think that the mod will support older versions in the future !

Im my opinion are in games with FullVR support resolutions in a aspect ratio of 10:9 or 10:8 the best solution, because you will get a decent performance. But many other vorpx user prefer 4:3 Resolutions in first person games with FullVR support, because it’s a little bit wider. Turn off the vorpx option to change the resolution, and try to get the highest resolution which reaches 60fps. In G3D you can’t get very high resolutions, try for example 1620×1440 or 1920×1620, but i guess in Z3D you will be able to play in 2160×1920 or 2400×2160 with your RTX 2080 Super. The HUD is customizable in vorpx in game menu in the second page, but the the square resolutions lets the HUD be bigger, too !

But you can use mods instead of these settings, have a look here:
Most of the mods can be easy modified by yourself for your needs.

I have a 3080Ti and Ryzen 7 5800x and i can play in G3D with medium settings, but if you have a mainstream PC i would advice you Z3D. I even have to set borderless window and the Windows Desktop to a 4:3 Resolution (the game settings still shows 1080p). Increase even the FOV ! To play it with a Xbox Controller use the customized user profile in the vorpx-config-tool.

The most big Publisher and Studios say, that they are only interested in the development of Games like Half Live Alyx, which are specially designed for VR and don’t work on PC Monitors or TVs. But there are not enough customers until now to develop such games with a AAA Budget.

But Sony announces that they will develop Hybrid Games of their PS5 Exclusives with the PSVR2. I guess that the same game will have full motion Controller support in VR and is simultaneously a regular Game on TV. I guess you don’t have to buy even a extra VR Version, because it is a Hybrid Game for TV and VR both. In my opinion Sony is going to support the Hybrid Games even on Handhelds via Game Streaming, and then the Sony Games can be played anywhere. Hybrid Versions of The Last of us 3, Uncharted 5 and Horizon 3 could be a Gamechanger, if they will be a financial success. And Meta and other could think again, if they will come back to PCVR. But that are only speculations by myself, Sony didn’t say anything detailed as they announced Hybrid Games.

I guess a DX12 G3D wrapper will demand too much Performance in many upcoming AAA Games. I guess that is the reason why AFR 3D will be a good alternative to Z3D. If all official Z3D Profiles support even AFR 3D, many of us will be very happy !

Dying Light 2, Stalker 2 and God of War with a AFR 3D Option “immediately” after release ? Wow, i would love that !

And those who don’t like AFR 3D can still use Z3D, or wait for next gen hardware to play the game 5 years later in DX12 G3D. Or will there be a DX12 G3D in prospect that demands not the teraflops of two High End GPUs in in many upcoming AAA Games ?

    @ Ralf

You say AFR 3D is a stopgap, do you prefer Z3D in some cases instead AFR 3D ?

In my opinion is the HP Reverb G2 with a FOV Mod the best Headset, for people with a standard or big IPD ! People who have a very small IPD will get only a average FOV with a Mod. For example the youtube Voodoo has a IPD under 60mm and prefers the Pimax Headsets because of that, although the image of the Revereb G2 is much better. I use the max IPD setting (72mm), and a very small VR Cover (6mm) and the FOV is nearly the same as it is in my Valve Index.

I have upgraded my AMD Hardware last month and had problems with the usb cable, but HP send me a new Reverb G2 2.0 cable within 24 Hours (UPS) and all problems are gone.

My textures are missing, even at lowest graphic details and textures, DLSS off, RTX off, Resolution ok-ish, FOV 0.00 (121), Zoom 90% and No mods

If i configure the FOV to -05.00 (116), than the texture will be loaded correct.

    Any advice ?
